WHAT A SCAM!!!!!

SAY'S 50P REALLY £29.90
YOU NEED TO AGREE TO TERMS AND THEN STRUGGLE TO CANCEL AND THEN CHARGE A SUPSCRIPTION FEE

NO REPORT EVEN GOT TELLS YOU READY TO DOWNLOAD NOTHING.

SPOKE TO LADY ON PHONE AND SAID HARD LUCK!!!

ALSO WOULD OF LEFT ZERO STAR'S BUT TRUST PILOT WONT ALLOW

Cette société fait miroiter qu l'on peut obtenir les coordonnées d'un abonné téléphonique pour 0,50 euros, or elle prélève 0,50 euros sans pouvoir fournir de renseignement.
Ensuite, deux jours plus tard elle prélève sans autorisation 29,90 euros!
Et pas possible de bloquer les futurs prélèvements mensuels car en introduisant mes données de courriel, cette société prétend que je suis inconnu chez elle, alors qu'elle pompe de l'argent de ma carte bancaire visa! Ce sont des escrocs. Joseph THEATE, expert judiciaire retraité à B-6940 BARVAUX.

Searched for an address but website said nothing found so no charge. So expecting refund. Thought nothing more about it till charged £29.90 2 days latter. If you read T&C say this will happen 2 days later.
Stating the following got an email promising refund of £29.90 in 7 working days - we will see
"As well you know this does not override present consumer legislation,
"Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, I have the full right to cancel a purchased online service without giving any explanation within the 14 day cooling-off period.
Under the above Regulations, I would like to cancel the contract and get a refund."
I, quoting the website saying "no charge" for unsuccessful find asking for 50p refund as well. If you do use it make a screenshot of this!
Save yourself some grief- Do not use!!!!

£29.90 back in my account but not 50p

OMG, if only I’d looked this company up first.
I searched for a family members name, paid 50p for this service and it came back with no results. Two days later the company Info-Record.com took £29.50 from my account. I phoned them and they said that if I'd paid the 50p, then I'd agreed to their monthly subscription, but that she was happy to cancel the subscription. I wasn’t aware that I’d signed up for anything and I'd not received an email confirming such a subscription otherwise I'd have been on to it sooner. The lady (French accent) confirmed she had cancelled my subscription. I asked about a refund of the £29.90 but was told they would not be able to refund me.
I mentioned that I was recording the conversation and that I believed that under the Consumer Rights Act, I could cancel within 14 days. The lady I spoke to said "No, you only have 2 days. Why didn't you cancel it within the two days?" I said I wasn't aware that I'd subscribed to anything and had only just seen that they had taken the payment from my account. I said again that I was pretty sure that I legally had 14 days to cancel a contract. I also mentioned that I'd seen the Reviews of this Company being a Scam. All of a sudden, the lady said she'd put me through to a manager which really surprised me as there appeared to be absolutely no sign of me getting a refund, yet all of a sudden, she reiterated that I wasn't aware of this transaction and in this case, she would speak to the manager in the Billing Dept. I was put on hold for a few seconds, then she came back and said the Billing Dept has authorised the refund of £29.90 which I'll receive in 7 working days. I didn't believe her for a minute. I then phoned the bank and cancelled all future monthly payments which the Bank confirmed were indeed in their system. They cancelled these and said that if I don't receive a refund within 14days of the transaction, then to call them back and they'll raise a dispute to claim it back. I've also had (surprisingly) an email from Info-Record.com confirming my refund will be paid in 7 working days . . . We'll see!
I truly believe they changed their mind about a refund due to me recording the conversation and stating the consumer rights act.

UPDATE ON 08/12/22:
After few more unsuccessful emails with CS, I finally got my money back by sending the below, inspired from a template found on Which website:

It is also worth noting that they still charged me for the initial 50p. Even though their website states they will refund this if their team cannot provide info on the person we're looking for....

Charged me 50p then said there was no info found about the person. Then 2 days later took £29 for a subscription I never agreed about. They said we can cancel but you won't get a refund as you have agreed to our terms and conditions. Any purchase can be cancelled and refunded within 14 days! My bank is dealing with this fraudulent payment and hopefully I'll get my money back.

Only ever used this company once and for the initial 50p was paid with no result found. Then to my suprise £29.90 was taken 2 days later and again this month 21 November. Contacted customer services and explained my problem and they very quickly resolved the issue and refunded my money. Thank you to all.

I wanted to find an address from a mobile number. When I put the mobile number in, the system gives an indication, via a tick being placed next to "full Address" that this data was available, in fact ticks were placed next to all the categories. Once I had paid the fee I was then told that no info was available across any of the categories which had previously had ticks placed next to them.
On revisiting the site it does say that info "may" be available but the whole process is misleading. Be warned

SCAM! They charge you an initial 50p (in my case provided no information) then 48 hours later charge £29.90 for a 'subscription' whether you want it or not. Their password reset also doesn't work so you can't get in to cancel.

sur celui ci aucune information "désolé on n'a rien trouvé" mais 0,50€ retiré quand même
puis tous les mois le site retire 29,90€ sur la CB pour un abonnement que l'on n'a pas pris et ou il est impossible de se desabonner

I signed up to carry out a search for 50p....I then discovered that the company debited my Account for a,£29.90 subscription which I did not sign up for. No doubt the company have made it all to easy for you to become 'subscribed' without noticing ! It was certainly not clear anywhere during the Login. I have since 'unsubscribed'.... let's see how easy that goes ! Update, I have since discovered that info about the subscription is written in very small grey out print which is virtually impossible to see/read, at the point where you authorise your bank to pay the 50p stage. Really, greyed out print !!!

What a rip off......Requested a €0.50 email check and got charged €29.90. They will not respond to emails......

The same happened to me with this company 30,/07/22. I immediately saw the £29.90 coming out of my bank. I emailed info-records.com and also info-people.com. I told them this transaction was not sanctioned by myself.
They responded within a few hours apologising...initiating refund...and confirmation subscription is now closed. Just my experience of them.

Absolute scam! I feel like such an idiot for not reading the other reviews first. I also got caught out, agreed to pay £0.50 for a companies information, and was then charged a further £29.90 that I did not agree to! On top of that when I ran the search they said I had to make the £0.50 payment to see the results and then after payment they didn’t actually have any results for that company at all. I’ve sent them an email but had no reply. Will have to try get my bank involved now to ensure no more money is stolen from me.😡😡😡😡

Paid for a 50p service, only to find in the tiniest of small-print that they then subscribed me to a £29-90 annual service. At the very least, this is deception, at worst, it's fraud. When I complained they cancelled the subscription, but kept the £29-90 and prohibited my use of their website immediately (despite me paying for a whole year)! To anyone who reads this - avoid this website, like the plague.

Be very careful - I looked up one address for £0.50 and was charged £29.90 48 hours later for one month subscription. This is apparently in their t&c of registration. So unless you want an expensive search engine beware! (NB I didn't even get a result from the name I looked up!). In addition when calling customer services they would not entertain a refund.

This company is an absolute rip off

I was informed that this would be reviewed but nothing came back apart from a further charge of £29.90 after the initial £0.50
Avoid at all costs
Did get a refund after explaining my situation that I could not cancel my subscription because I was in hospital after a RTC

Same as many others. Paid 50p for a search that brought no results. Then next day £29.90 charged to my credit card
