Be aware of using this company! The "head of operations" Elliott is rude and unprofessional! I received an invoice shortly after I instructed this company and when I tried to seek reassurance that the information is correct before I pay the invoice I was accused of "refusing to pay" and Elliott informed me on Saturday night by email that due to my refusal to pay "our contract is terminated". Baffled by this, I tried to talk to him on the phone this morning to resolve the issue but clearly achieving a resolution is not his forte and he was extremely passive-aggressive.

Dear EP (name withheld for client anonymity), your review is quite unjustified and does not reflect the circumstances of this case, so we must respond to this review in defence of our good name.
We have conducted enquiries on your behalf as instructed in a timely manner.
You were advised that we would operate a no fee on any element of the enquiry that was not successful, to which you agreed.
Upon completion of these enquiries we requested payment for the successful element of the enquiry, as agreed.
You then ignored our invoice, and responded by emailing an address you had, saying that “if it is this address then it’s not correct” and you declined to pay the invoice.
You were assured that the address we had located for the individual was a firm address, and not the address you were providing, however you still declined to pay our invoice for the successful element of our investigation.
It was felt that pursuing you for payment of our invoice was a waste of effort and further valuable time, as you clearly had no intention of paying and the matter was cancelled.
You have not been charged for the work completed, and have not been given your result.
We would suggest that, should you enter into a further contract, you adhere to it.
It is unfortunate that you feel we have adopted a passive aggressive attitude towards this matter, which we refute, when in reality all we have done is complete enquiries requested by you, ask for payment as agreed, and upon response to non-payment, have cancelled the investigation.
Trust Pilot reviews are always welcome, however when they are used as a tool to slander, and avoid justified payment, this must be seen as wholly unfair.
We wish you success in your pursuit of these enquires with another agency, and thank you for bringing your views to our attention, which have been fully looked into.

I employed their services on a very delicate matter. I spoke with Karen, who was very informative and reassuring, let me unfold the story at my own pace, then suggested the action that the Insight agent would take.
She gave me lots of time to think it over, and told me the cost.
I was very happy when she was able to give me the results of the agent's investigation.
The whole experience was positive, supportive, well handled and efficient.
I would not hesitate to recommend Insight.

Information regarding a stolen bike
Spoke to a lovely receptionist straight away on the 1st call ,she put me through to the lady who would give me the information that I required. I was already in liaison with the police but the information I received from the lovely lady was incredibly fast and precise. My case was solved and I’d not hesitate to use this company again and again . Many thanks

Eternally grateful
I asked Insight for help after my elderly mother began a relationship with a man who began to limit her contact with all of our family, was spending her money and was permanently cagey to us about his own personal history.
During an extremely upsetting time, the investigators demonstrated such care and speed and within a few days, had discovered the real identity of the person, located his ‘other’ family and also found evidence that he had already targeted other vulnerable women for money and exhibited controlling behaviour over them. I can’t thank them enough for resolving this situation so quickly and sensitively for our family. It has been an extraordinary relief to us all.

Misleading company, extremely unprofessional
promise comprehensive investigations, payment upfront provided 4/5 bullets in an email after chasing for 6 months, no evidence to back anything up, on escalation customer services fail to respond or make terrible excuses. Avoid there are more reputable companies out there

Patrick, whilst we are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with our investigation and the outcome was what it was. Whilst attempting to prove your allegations we could locate nothing that confirmed them or that any laws had been broken. In doing so and at your insistence we extended the investigation somewhat and that is what took the time over and above our estimate and also the fee paid. It is our duty to report our findings as we believe them be at the time. We have attempted to resolve this matter for you, but it is our understanding that you withdrew the official complaint and instead decided to post a review. All investigations are different and some unfortunately do not bring the results desired. We have been a professional investigation company with many satisfied clients for over 30 years, and dispute your claims that we are not reputable. We wish you well for the future.

Poor initial contact, slow response, dismissive
Initial calls not returned. At first discussion, strong impression they did not want the business. Email of my details sent to both information and operations enquiry addresses went unanswered in their spam folder.
One sentence of the investigation suggested, costing near £1,000 - asked for more details, received none.
EDIT (Following the company's response): Note how he does not rebut any of my statements. With regards to the "lengthy email": One short sentence explaining how my emails were lost; one short sentence stating the price and one sentence containing a single line of what they proposed for £1,000. No response to my request for more information. My original review stands.
I did not complain about my council. This 13 line email breaks down as follows: (1) My name (2) Explaining my email was lost to their spam folder (3) + (4) As listed above (5) The cost (6) 2 words; "Please advise" (7) Kind regards (8) Your name (9) Your title (10) Your direct dial (11) Your company slogan (12) 2 words: "Head Office:" (13) Your address. I am more than happy to supply this email to Trust Pilot's Content Integrity Team for verification. You state you felt it not viable to proceed, yet suggested a service costing nearly £1,000. All emails I have sent are in response to your emails, bar the one chasing a lack of any reply after 2 weeks - the final email sent was from you.

This is a wholly unfounded complaint. Caller explained his current problem and was advised of a legal way to possibly strengthen his case, this was explained in a lengthy email on March 17th, which he concurred within a following email.
The matter did not proceed, so he never became a Client.
ADDITIONAL COMMENT:
We initially spoke by telephone to this prospective client and discussed their problem.
As the prospective client already had his local Council involved (which he also complained about) We explained to him a possible way forward but that it would be speculative and the cost may not justify the results. This was again explained to him in a 13 line email on March 17th, NOT the brief email purported. It is, responsible that the prospective clients' expectations are managed correctly and we did so on this occasion. The matter did not proceed, we felt it not viable given the cost. The complaint is unfounded.
Today this individual has continued to email us repeatedly berating the operative and this company, so much so that we have requested that he desist from further communication.
We are here to assist clients with genuine problems, with some hope of success for them, not waste peoples money. Unfortunately not all assignments requested are either practical or legal.
FURTHER COMMENT
We are sorry that you feel we have given you a bad service by not taking on your case, and the level of free communications that you feel you are entitled to.
We have given you free impartial advice, both verbally and via email. Based on over 30 Years of experience.
Our suggestion that the investigation was speculative and may not be to your best advantage is still our decision. Regardless of how much that would cost, would it have proceeded.
The email followed on from a detailed telephone discussion where you where fully advised as to your options. You did complain about the council and their lack of effective solutions in your telephone conversation with us.
We stand by our previous comments, where we suggested that an enquiry of this nature would cost in the region of £1,000 but that it was purely speculative, and would not in our opinion be advisable, so declined the assignment.
Having been in business for over 30 Years, there are times when clients requested can not be undertaken as an assignment for various reason, but rather than just advise "we cant hep" we try to give possible solutions and advice free of charge , which we did on this occasion.
Again, apologies that we were not able to assist you, and wish you luck in the future.
