Premium still forces you to watch trailers which is annoying when you've paid but it's no worse than the cinema. The problem is that they don't keep these to the start and end. They interrupt the viewing whenever it suits, so if you're watching a tense scene all of sudden it cuts to some totally irrelevant garbage and spoils it. It's shockingly poor. I insisted on my money back for false advertising.

Blank screen at advert breaks. Occurs almost every time I use ITV X.
Usually just hangs on the blank screen and I have to exit and re-start the app before I can continue.
I have reported this, but not getting any progress.
ITV X is almost unuseable.
No problems with any other streaming apps

The ads completely ruin this app, it’s the epitome of greed- anyone can deal with some ads for a free app, but the sheer volume is ridiculous, not to mention that it’s the same ads on repeat, and that they buffer constantly, and that you have to watch them all over again any time you close the app. The greed will lead many users to switch to another service.

NO STARS. THE LIES AND CHEATS AT ITVX ARE UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL. SOUTH AFRICA CALL CENTRE. CANNOT CHAT TO ANYONE WITH ANY AUTHORITY TO DO ANYTHING BUT LIE AND DEFEND THE MOST PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL IS A GROSS UNDERSTATEMENT. PATHETIC USELESS DISGUSTING IS NOT HARSH ENOUGH. I CANNOT GET A REFUND FOT THE USELESS SERVICE,ONLY LIESLIESLIES.

Why can ITVX not do what every other streaming services does, successfully. Absolutely the most frustrating streaming app in the universe. Constantly losing signal, when every thing else works, reverts back to the beginning after ad breaks, if it starts at all. From what I remember it worked better before they ‘upgraded’ it. Date of experience is irrelevant as it’s constantly rubbish.

We've used the ITV news catch-up for years rather than sit watching news that doesn't interest us.
Now we've at least a minute long advert to sit through before watching a news item which is just a few minutes longer.😡
Watching catch-up programmes is dire, takes ages to load, difficult to pause without it going backwards and if you leave to make a cuppa it goes back to the home page.
ITV has gone downhill in the programmes it shows and it's a good thing we've other channels to watch.🤪

ITV HAVE NOT LEARNT A THING DO THEY LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS AND TRY TO SORT THEIR PROBLEM OUT. OR DO THEY PUT THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND AND DONT THINK THEY HAVE A PROBLEM.IT WAS CALLED ITV HUB FIRST IT WAS SO BAD THEY PUT MONEY INTO IT AND ALL THEY DID WAS CHANGE THE NAME TO ITVX.A BIT LIKE A DODGY BUILDER WHO TAKES MONEY FOR A BAD JOB ,AND THEN MOVES ON AND CHANGE THEIR NAME AND STILL DOES NOT FINISH THE JOB BUT GETS MONEY UP FRONT I.E GO PREMIUM FOR STILL THE CRAP JOB.ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN IS MAKING BIG MONEY FROM ENTERING THEIR COMPETITIONS FOR £2 ,WHO WOULD WANT TO GIVE THEM £5.99 A MONTH TO GO ADD FREE FOR THE SAME POOR EXPERINCE

The content is probably fine, catering for a wide range of tastes.

The app however leaves a lot to be desired so suggest not upgrading to a 'premium' experience until fixed.

Plays the adverts quite well then fails to play the actual content, either displaying the buffering sign or simply crashes, multiple times over the past few days.
Fails to keep track of where the viewer is in series/episode kind of important when watching boxsets ie loses track in an episode fairly frequently (recently).
This is on a Fire TV Stick 4k with no known Internet issues ie Prime and BBC ultra playback fine.

Itvx runs for a few minutes then crashes every time I try it out. I am constantly looking for more BBC iPlayer programmes because BBC iPlayer has none of the crashing issues.
My5 is runs fine, the problem is limited to Itvx.

Having recorded the Euro final, unable to watch it live, I received a push notification from ITVX "It's just gone to penalties!" What a stupid thing to do, ruined my evening. If I was watching live, I would know it had gone to penalties.

Itv live is one of the worst things I've ever experienced. The buffering and crashes are so frustrating and if you refresh, you're back at the beginning. It is a shame how they ask actual money for this useless platform. Get an experienced IT-guy to fix your website.

Even though we pay for the premium there are still adverts all the time. Will be cancelling soon.

Ok, I’ll start by saying I’ve used Prime, Netflix & Disney+ for years…I know what to expect from a streaming platform.

ITVX is absolutely diabolical!! When you watch it for free you have to suffer the endless ads - fair enough it’s free BUT…when they’ve ALL played problem free & the episide is due to resume it just buffers & buffers continually…! 🙄😡 So you pay for the premium ad-free service & the buffering doesn’t get much better!! & the show keeps stopping due to an error during playback! This never happens with Prime, Netflix etc.

And most annoying…It makes u want to scream!!! it never remembers where you got to when you stop mid-episode or what season, episode you’re up to! This is the only app I’ve ever experienced that does this! I can flick through months, in fact years of “continue watching” on Netflix & it remembers them all! ITVX doesn’t remember what I was watching earlier today!!
Also why are so many ITV series missing? Joanna Lumley’s Danube has just started…where’s all of the previous ITV travel documentaries of her’s? Nile, Silk Road Adventure, Greek Odyssey, Japan etc. Where’s all of the ITV serial killer dramas? You charge for premium but actually give us nothing back! I wish you’d start releasing ITV material on blu-ray & I’d buy it & watch it that way! Uninterrupted, ad-free, buffer free, hd quality & my blu-ray player remembers where I got to!

So PAID GOOD MONEY to have uninterrupted viewing. Fair enough no commercial ads just ITV promotions every 10 mins!
What a waste of money and a disgusting misrepresentation of what you are paying for

Awful. Always has been awful. Drops out every advert break then makes you watch more adverts. Doesn't remember where you where if you return later to the show. Fast forward and rewind make it drop out. Terrible. Why? In 2025, why?.

Here we go again. Trying to watch the thrilling Code of Silence on ITV X. Continuously interrupted by loss of download.
Then have nerve to tell me it's my problem, loss of service.
Instant check on "Oockla speedtest" shows a download speed of 70+ mbps.
Simply they just will not spend the money on a decent sized gateway.
Sadly yet again i have to give this critique one star.

By far the worst TV viewing platform there is. Incredibly slow, counter intuitive and drops out regularly after the incessant ads. IPlayer is a millions Mike's ahead.

Unusable, I choose not to use this channel at all anymore but there is one show which has unfortunately moved to the dreadful itvx. It’s a painfully agonising experience trying to get through an episode of big brother !!!!!

Dreadful. In comparison with BBC iplayer there is no comparison.
Can't resume play, Can't fast forward to pick up were you previously watched. I try not to use it.
Anything ITV I record. It's so much easier.
