The team worked hard during the day but were ill prepared -our main issues were:
1. They did not take anything upstairs to the bed 4 Loft as per notes on the boxes.And did not put a lot of our stuff where it was allocated. Eg. Left our garden furniture in the front garden instead of taking to the back garden.
2. The final van to be loaded was very late so it delayed the arrival at our new house thus all the unloading. We told the company completion was 1pm but they didn't finish packing up until 2pm.
3. One of the team disappeared during the unloading for several hours which didn't help. They only had one trolley and had to borrow trolleys from our neighbours to complete the move.( we live on a pedestrian access island)
4. Various items were damaged. We were told they would be dealt with through the insurance but we needed to pay the bill first and send pictures of everything. As soon as we paid nothing further was heard. Therefore we were lied to but we took their word in good faith. Big mistake
5. Called to chase resolution on damaged items. Very rude to us and said it was all rushed because we caused a delay! They were the ones who were late and delayed formal completion. Doesn't excuse damaging our stuff. Also accused us of lying about the damage but we sent before and after photos and videos. The damage is about £1000. And we have heard nothing further.
If you use them don't trust anything they say and certainly don't pay in full if you have damaged items to claim for. Do lots of before and after pictures and videos.
It is very surprising there are so many fantastic reviews. We can't be the only ones to have had problems.

We were so pleased with the team from Jones & Son Removals. Ryan came round super quickly to provide us with a quote and stayed in touch all the way through the process. We took a full packing service which was really excellent value and the team boxed up our house in a day - while we got out of the way. The move involved a really tricky access lane and they managed to agree with our new neighbour to use their parking space and get things in over the fence - saving lots of time and struggle. When we realised we had brought things that should have stayed at the house (our fault) they went back and resecured things and took away things we would otherwise have had to find a way to recycle. More than anything, we want to praise the whole team for being so lovely to work with - there wasn't a moan or a grumble at any point - despite unkind weather, difficult access, us changing our mind about things and awkward furniture. They were funny and helpful - nothing was too much trouble - and we were truly grateful. All of this with excellent value for money. They really are a fab team. Thank you!

What a great team. We used Jones and Sons to dismantle and reassemble furniture from 2 bedrooms as we were swapping them over. The team turned up and had the job done in 2 hours.
They took great care with the furniture and were very tidy.
We would definitely recommend using them.

Just over 30 degrees yesterday.
Darren and Kai emptied our Guildford based houseboat and storage shed and drove 5 1/2 hours (due to dreadful traffic) to our new home in Derbyshire. My wife and I were flagging in the heat during the unload, but Darrens dreadful/old school jokes kept our spirits up. A genuinely couple of nice blokes, as was Ryan who visited to provide the initial quote.
Its a shame that this is our last ever house move, as we finally found a team we would use a second (and third) time..! Thanks again guys....

From first contact with Ryan (the boss), Dazza (who delivered the packing materials on a late Friday evening), the packers, (Paula and her partner Ryan), to the removal team of Dazza, Ryan and Josh we were extremely impressed by their attitude, friendliness and hard work. They packed and moved us to a 3 storey house on one of the hottest days of spring and did so with good humour.

They were also very competitively priced, an added bonus.

Definitely recommend.

Ryan, Darryl, Josh, Tom and Cole were amazing and made the whole experience of my long distance move so much less stressful than it could have been. I have a lot of stuff, books, plants etc, and they took great care packing it all and made sure everything arrived safely. They worked really hard and did everything with good humour and jokes. They really went the extra miles, making sure everything was is the right place when unloading and rearranging boxes for me so I had some room to move in the house. All this for a very reasonable price. They are all round nice guys and really take a pride in their work. Thank you and highly recommended!

Having moved several times in my life I've experienced many different levels of how removal companies deal with what is a very stressful time in one's life so it much depends on how they not only treat your belongings but also how they treat their customers. So I can honestly say that my experience with Jones and Sons was exceptionally high in my estimation and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. From the initial meeting with Ryan who visited me to establish what my needs were and kept me informed right until moving day to the brilliant job done by Darren, Si and Dylan with who nothing was too much trouble and were friendly and cheerful right through and totally respectful and careful with all my belongings both moving out and moving in. I can't thank them enough for making what could have been an extremely stressful to feeling confident that they were "on to it" at the same time as having a laugh and a joke at the same time as being totally professional.

I recently moved house and only had a few days notice that I could move. Ryan gave me a quote and 5 days later was able to move me.
I found his team extremely polite, reassuring and very, very hardworking!! Nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile.
Ryan's communication is excellent and he replied to messages promptly.
Moving house is stressful but Jones & Sons made it less so.

Beyond brilliant service. Swift response from Ryan upfront, great communication and his team on the day were excellent. They worked so hard and were so polite and friendly throughout although they were heaving so much around and through tight corners and staircases. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

His job he is very kind and wouldn’t hurt a soul and a very polite and helpful man, gets jobs done fast and takes good care of your belongings, reply’s fast to emails, phone calls etc and he has always helped my family move places with no bother, and has very reasonable prices for the jobs to take care of moving your belongings.
