placed 4 orders over $800 before Christmas.
One order my client received arrived with baked potatoes instead of the lobster tails I ordered. I called customer service, waited on hold for over 40 minutes, had another 15 minute conversation explaining what happened. They acknowledged their error and said they would resend immediately . My client never received the lobster and I did not receive a credit, over $100. Total waste of my time and $$. They never resolved the issue. I ate a crab cake that I ordered for myself, I got so sick immediately after eating.
I read good reviews about this company although they obviously the quality of food and service has gone downhill. My food was not edible, customer service was rude and not willing to resolve my problem. Horrible experience. I ordered from Omaha Steaks, so far so good. I will never order from Kansas City or recommend them after my terrible experience.
Customer service is kind and helpful. My brother was delighted with the quality of the prime rib I gifted him for the New Year. Thank you.
We received a 3.5lbs prime rib as a Christmas gift we never had from this company before, but it was so salty we couldn't eat it , bad experience.
These steaks are outrageously expensive. 4-8oz tenderloins for $179. That comes out to approximately $89 dollars per pound?
I can buy 4 - 8 oz of the most expensive cuts at butcher shop and still have a $100 left over
Treated me horrible because they sent me the wrong things and didn't send everything correctly I simply asked for a box to return items and they said no. So I'll be calling again tomorrow to just try and get my money back and send everything back in. I don't want anything for free but I would like what I ordered
NY strip steaks had an excessive amount of fat and the thickness was inconsistent. with only two steaks one was 1/2 inch and the other was 1 1/4 inches. We order 149.00 Tomahawk steaks that were tough. ugh
This is my first time ordering at Kansas City Steak House. I am very disappointed because they sent me the wrong order; they gave me steak instead of the whole smoked turkey. They said they will replace it, but the soonest delivery isn't until next week. I ordered the whole turkey for Christmas dinner. Never mind then. I need to get my refund. Please don't order from this company if they can't manage their merchandise properly.
When their steaks are great, they are phenomenal..........which is now about 75% of the time......you may have to wait weeks for delivery - even when paying a premium. They use to be so good. Now the filets come pieced together - so an 8 oz filet may be made up of 3-5 separate pieces........Several of the packages may not be air tight, so some grey/green meat...........if you call in, you have a 30% chance of getting someone polite.......we used to LOVE them, now we avoid them.
These are the BEST steaks, better than restaurants! Why 2 stars? SHIPPING! Spent over $700, you would think they could get my steaks to me frozen!!! Shipping to 115 degree Arizona donât you think extra dry ice? Get it here on 1st delivery date? One box was bloody! Most were partially defrosted so those wonât be so good ð¡. They are replacing the bloody steaks but my filets & flat iron? No

Good for an average family dinner
Nice place for a casual family meal. The food is decent, portions are fair, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Nothing fancy, but reliable for a simple dinner out.
The worst experience ever. I placed an order a week ago, since then nobody contacted me. When I called them, they said my order has been cancelled (!?!?!?!)
While I found the product to be okay their RELENTLESS MARKETING after the sale is bizarre and unstoppable causing me to block their phone and email coms since unsubscribing does not work.
the steak was good (my first order which also after much kick ups that I received ) but for my second order # 1946341-1 I received a terrible customer service and very mean attitude from customer service rep and my second order was messed up a big time by fedex and never delivered and the Kansas city steak company knew it and after so many emails back and forth and finally I got my refund and the most disappointment is that the customer service rep terri never said apology or not even sorry for the whole situation and more than that when I called the customer service talked to the supervisor her name is sydney she did not care and she said âyes fedex lost your orderâ and when I asked her any courtesy credit for the inconvenience that caused to me ,she said ânothing we can do for you â do you think I will order from them again? What a pathetic and cold customer service.

We placed an order on 12/13 which was estimated to arrive no later than 12/21.
When the order hadn't shipped by 12/20, called customer service and was told the order had shipped but the shipping info hadn't been sent yet.
In reality the order hadn't shipped.
The order wasn't shipped until 12/21. Then due to the holiday rush, was in transit for 6 days and arrived 12/27. Dry ice used in packaging was all gone and the meat was questionable at best.
The biggest issue was that customer service knowingly lied when telling us the order had shipped. We would have preferred to have been told it hadn't shipped as originally estimated and would be delayed.
