Booked what was advertised as an all cost included trip to ZAKOPANE THERMAL BATHS but were advised when we got there that some of the activities had an extra cost . When we called the agent at Krakow direct we were told that they had been in touch with the baths and had our tickets amended yet when we went to leave we had a bill to pay and the baths advised they hadn’t spoken to anyone . Called and emailed with no response from Krakow Direct. Would not recommend this company. No customer service and agents don’t have any information on the packages they are selling .

We were late leaving Krakow and did not have a tour in Birkenau because we only had 10 minutes there.

The tour also included an old town evening tour which, we did not visit all the stops on the itinerary.

Well, where do I begin?

The Salt mine tour was a slick and enjoyable trip and I thank Krakow Direct for this.

The Auschwitz tour was a complete and utter disappointment. The pick up was delayed by 1.5 hrs. By the time we had picked up everyone else along the way (which was unknown to us) we finally arrived at Auschwitz at circa 3.00pm.
The guided tour, which we had paid extra for was with a group of approximately 40 people. We had audio through headphones but if one spent just 2 minutes looking at something or taking a few moments to contemplate the horrors of the place sound was lost and the group disappeared. I found myself trying to listen to the guide in the following group just to gather some knowledge of the exhibits and locations. Honestly, we were literally frogmarched for the entire visit with not a single moment to stop and reflect.
I was actually quite heartbroken because having read and learned so much about the place I had genuinely hoped that it would all come alive for me and I wanted to be emotionally affected. It was just a complete and utter waste of time and after the daylight disappeared the only and actual accommodation block we visited was in complete darkness. The guide couldn't wait to get in her car and go home.
I will go back one day but in my own time and at my own leisure.
My advise is that if your wish to visit Auschwitz then please do it under your own control. It is unacceptably commercialised in my opinion and fails to provide the experience that I imagine, most people are looking for.
I and my friends were sorely disappointed with the whole experience.

When I made my reservation for the Auschwitz tour, they told me a day in advance that I needed to be ready at 6:00 am. We were meant to enter the museum at 7:30 am, but they failed to purchase our tickets, so we had to wait in queue to do so. At last, the tickets for 9:45 were located.
The museum's tour guide was the one highlight of the trip.

Booked a private transfer to Auschwitz - Birkenau where we joined a small group for the tour. Our driver was excellent - he was friendly, informative and professional. Tour guide was very good, did not feel rushed despite lots of visitors.

My wife and I visited Krakow last week and booked a one-day tour of Auschwitz and Salt Mines. Please be aware that you're basically paying a company to bus you to the sites and organize a group tour. I assumed we were paying for hotel pick-up and drop-off, given the overall cost of over 100 euro a head. However, we were dropped off at a location about a kilometre from our hotel, in the rain!
