Really Poor Refund Process
I returned two dresses in September 2025 via Royal Mail Tracked 24âdelivered and signed for on 30 September 2025 (proof available).
What was particularly concerning: I was consistently refused a refund even after they acknowledged receipt. Communications from their team included screenshots claiming âissues with PayPal,â but when I contacted PayPal multiple times, they insisted there were no issues on their end. The screenshots provided were clearly incorrect/inconsistent with the details of the transaction via my initial claim on PayPal.
I have all the screenshots and evidence proving these discrepancies, and the conduct in these emails was the most unprofessional and frustrating Iâve experienced from any business.
Only after posting a negative review in November 2025 did they refund the full £256.50 (including the kept dress) within 24 hours. I can only assume this was to avoid further public attention.
The dresses were nice, but the returns process, lack of transparency, and misleading information make me unwilling to shop here again. Be aware: if you have issues, document everything and be prepared to escalateâpublic reviews seem to be the only way to get action.

We can confirm your return was received at our warehouse on 30 September 2025. The delay in issuing your refund was due to an active PayPal case linked to the transaction, which affected our ability to complete the refund through the normal process.
During this time, our team remained in contact with PayPal and our finance department, as we were encountering refund errors within the merchant system while the case workflow was active. The screenshots shared with you reflected what was visible to our team at that time, although we understand this may have differed from the information shown to you.
Once PayPal confirmed they could manually process the refund, the full amount of your order was issued to your original PayPal payment method.

I had an excellent first experience with Lace and Beads, I ordered a dress a size up after reading reviews that the dresses ran small. The dress was stunning but ended up being too big. After consulting with their customer service team I ordered a size down and once I'd tried that on I kept the smaller size and returned the larger one. Return was processed very quickly upon return. You do have to pay for tracked postage out of your own pocket but I think this is fair enough as it wasn't the company's fault I ordered the wrong size. I would recommend measuring yourself and comparing it to their specific size chart. Occasion dresses like this are often sized differently to regular high street clothes. Would definitely consider using L&Bs again. But the dress is so beautiful I'll probably wear it to every event until it falls apart ð

The dress was lovely but not as it seemed on the website, I spent £10 on sending the package back as per their Terms and Conditions. They deducted £16 from the refund and refuse to explain. I am going to have to go to my bank. One to avoid if you want a good experience.

An international order from an anxious person
I ordered it a little more then a month before the event (international delivery, not in europe) and got nervous bc the Royal Mail kept it for about a week and a half. I contacted Lace & Beads and they assured me to wait the estimated time they provided. A day before the deadline - it arrived to a pickup location near my house.

Iâd like to share my experience with Lace & Beads.
Unfortunately, due to unexpectedly high customs duties and import taxes, I had to refuse the parcel I originally ordered directly from the brand. It was a frustrating situation, but I must say the customer service team was extremely professional, understanding, and supportive throughout the entire return process â and for that, Iâm truly grateful.
In the end, I purchased the same dress through ASOS â and Iâm so glad I did! The dress is absolutely stunning â with a unique cut, exquisite tailoring, and beautiful details that make it truly one of a kind. The craftsmanship is fantastic, and the design stands out in the best way possible.
At the wedding I attended, the dress made a huge impression â I received so many compliments, and I truly felt like the most beautiful version of myself.
Itâs such a shame that the UK is no longer part of the EU, as the high customs and tax charges are discouraging for customers in Europe. A dress this special deserves to be more easily accessible.
