It is a muslim school and it is the best thing

I love lady evelyn, the teachers are amazing and friendly.

Lady Evelyn is the best school I've been to. I started here in Year 5 and now I'm in Year 8, my teachers explain very well to me, and if I have any questions they always answer them and make sure I understand. They don't just give us work and go, they always do a starter exercise to test what we have learned in the last class, then they explain the answers to them, then they explain what we will be doing differently and give and show examples of how to do it. Not only that they also let us answer some questions and then go through them. I like how we always have fun quizzes to help us recall what we have learned, like using blookets, kahoots, quizzes, and others. I find the classes very fun and interactive, especially when we get to work in pairs to create power points, present our work, and see what all the other students have done. The students are also very welcoming and, when we have assemblies, it's always fun to see all the other students in other classes all gather up and bring us all together. It may be an online school and we all live in different places, but our hearts will always be one.

All of my kids went / go to this school. Two of them have already graduated and both got excellent grades. The teachers are amazing and friendly, and gave my children confidence. We experimented a lot with our children's education - trying to get it right, but with many failures on the way! There was a point where I felt that I have genuinely failed them. For the first time, at Lady Evelyn Independent School, I felt happy and at ease with their education. And more importantly, for the first time ever, my kids absolutely LOVE this school and the teachers. And that translates into high grades along with brilliant tarbiya for the kids. I'm so so grateful to the teachers for this amazing experience. Thank you, Lady Evelyn Independent School.

The system is great and quite fast when it isn't always sluggish. I can hear teachers clearly.
.In terms of how they educate me, or how they aid me with my questions, and when I need help, teachers and support are the most helpful individuals. The lessons are occasionally effectively described (I occasionally have to adjust to their method of teaching)

My experience with this school has been very bad, my children attended collectively for 5+ years the teaching was very weak and teachers & head teachers joined and left every year, for an Islamic based school i was so disappointed by the way it was run being Muslim I blindly trusted their system it was a big mistake, badly let down and they are playing with our children’s futures.

I truly wouldn’t advise anyone to send their children here they aren’t capable of teaching correctly at all very poorly run.

I loved my time at Lady Evelyn Independent School! While being Home-educated I went from teacher to teacher and I never found teachers who actually made the lesson interesting and actually learning. I used to always struggle with online lessons, get bored really quickly but the way the teachers got you to interact it was just amazing. I remember having competitions between my classmates on who got the highest scores for tests and homework and it really drove you to work hard and be a little competitive. Overall I will always have very fond memories of LRIS, I met some of my closest friends there and it took me from failing to smashing all my exams.

My two brothers studied at Lady Evelyn. They enjoyed it and the teachers were very welcoming. One is currently doing his GCSEs and the other one got a string of As and A Stars despite previously being predicted pretty poor grades from his previous online school. If only I could turn back time to when I was still in school, I would join Lady Evelyn.

Lady Evelyn Independent School is hands down the best school I've ever attended. Their online system is super easy to use. I can quickly find my classroom tabs, and everything is set up in a clear and straightforward way. This makes getting to my classes or finding study materials a piece of cake.

I started at Lady Evelyn in Year 8, and since then, my grades have been going up and up. The teachers really care about us. They don't just want us to pass; they want us to do our best in every exam. Their support and encouragement mean a lot to me.

Now, I'm in Year 11 and getting ready for my IGCSE exams. The teachers here have loads of experience, which is great because they know the best ways to help us study and revise. I've got to give a big shoutout to my English Language and Business Studies teachers. Their lessons are always engaging, and they make tough topics easier to understand.

I hope that I am able to stay at Lady Evelyn for the next few years, and admire the journey Insha’Allah

Went here for sixth form and enjoyed every minute. I met the nicest group of friends and the schools tarbiyyah is excellent. They care about your growth as a person as well a student.

Wonderful school. Teachers make the lessons very interactive and beneficial.

I hated the experience and found it so stressful and lost money. We applied for 2 places overnight. They took money from my cards overnight: the application fees of £50 (which I was expecting) but also took the deposit of £500 which was not clear to me and I was not expecting. I thought they should have communication and place offering for you to finally accept. It was nothing like that all seemed so quick and automatic.

I did not like that and asked them to cancel, the next day, within 24 hours (by email, WhatsApp, and tried phoning). Contacting customer service was a nightmare. For many hours phones were ringing out and messages were full so I could not leave a message. Had a booked call with them that evening anyway, it happened but was not helpful at all.

They refused to refund anything. We chased them for about a month to get a cancellation confirmation. They ignored a dozen emails regarding the cancellation. Only when I emailed saying: (I would take you to court ) they responded by saying we confirmed the cancellation. No refund was possible.

Very poor customer service and poor application and cancellation experience. Find somewhere else, seriously.

After extensive search and asking people around, unfortunately i choose this school for one of my children. However, after my experience i really advice everyone to try meet one of the parents and/or lesson to the recordings of some of the lessons before you enrol and pay the deposit becuase you ain't get anything refunded and your child will be poorly educated.

From my experience as well as the other parent i got to know later, most tutors have no or very little experience with online teaching making the lessons really boring and useless. The level of students attending this school is extremelly low compared to any average uk student. My son scored 20 in one quiz while all other students score 3 or 4 max. No participation/engagement from other students, my son was the only one participating untill he got bored. No cameras nor any kind of supervision, so your son can actually just open the session and than play games or do anything else. There’s hardly any homework, no or very poor (fun or interesting or extracurricular) activities. First day/week is not welcoming at all for new students, and every time there’s a glitch with the system I got sent an email saying my child was absent from class.

The school support replied to my complains positively but nothing was changed. I was afraid if I continue in this school my child will be even more desperate and will have doubt on the quality of islamic education. I really wanted my children to move into homeschooling route rather than the standard public schooling but this school made it impossible to convince my children again :((( My son told me if I just sit and watch YouTube it will be more a lot more usefull and interesting than attending this dull, useless school !! I really wonder how I was fooled by the nice reviews/feedback ?!!

There is so many reasons you should think 100 times before enrolling to this particular school. Don't decide based on just reading the reviews !!

I joined this school in the year 2020. This school didn't just have a positive effect on my grades, but it also had a tremendous effect on my mental health and confidence. The classes are very engaging and the teachers are very welcoming. As a student of lady Evelyn, I highly recommended parents to invest into their children through this school. Physical school and Online school has its positives and negatives however, online school gives me an advantage to spend time with my family and friends. Physical schools have too many children in one class making it hard for the teacher to focus on the children that need help the most whereas, in Lady Evelyn, the classes are not so big so that teachers can understand where each child is on their academic journey. As a parent, do you not want to know what your child is doing? Is he/she focusing and engaging in lessons? You can check class recordings to see if your child was engaging and asking questions.

I am inclined to give them one star based on several factors. Firstly throughout the year both children were told certain things by the teachers which were wrong and not things they should’ve been told about for instance that eating junk food was good for them or vaccines are good. Secondly, I found the quality of the teaching to be poor for the amount of money I was charged. My children did better whilst they were at public school then they did this year online. There’s hardly any homework and every time there’s a glitch with the internet I got sent an email saying my child was late/absent from class. School finished 2 months ago and I still haven’t been sent my children’s reports, which I have asked about several times. Finally I have emailed the school a few days after the last day of term to communicate that I am leaving and to have my £1000 returned. At first they said yes we will return it. Then they disappeared for a couple of weeks. I have been emailing them since July and they tell me now that I have been auto enrolled again. Again I emailed for proof that they have sent me a reminder that they will auto renew, which in the UK is a legal requirement, they have gone completely silent. In short it’s a poor quality school , all they want is your money and once they get it, it’s a nightmare to get it back. It’s very disappointing that an Islamic school is behaving like this. I will be contacting the bank to request a chargeback , failing that I will be initiating legal action to have my money returned to me. AVOID this school if you want your children to learn and want your deposit back! Poor quality teaching, customer service is non-existent, less than average overall!
