I had a very poor experience with this company. I placed an order but decided to cancel it before it was processed. I contacted customer service, requesting the cancellation and a refund. Unfortunately, I received emails with no answer if my order was cancelled. They stop replying to my emails when I asked for refund. All attempts to get in touch have been completely ignored.
If the company does not refund me soon, I will be forced to report the issue to my payment provider and request a chargeback. Ignoring customers like this is absolutely unacceptable.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company!

Customer service was very helpful. I ordered a ceiling light with 3 colour change and upon receiving it I noticed that the colour change is only operated by the main light switch. Customer service then helped by sending out the correct light I wanted.

Dreadful customer service. Contacted this company on several occasions asking for an update on my order and did not receive an update for a couple of days. Requested a refund on the order and was completely ignored and was simply told to wait up to 12 working days for the order to be delivered. Having worked for consumer magazine and publications in the past, I can confidently say that this is one of the worst levels of service I have ever experienced and would never recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Great customer service. A piece of glass broke on our light and they arranged to ship a replacement right away.

The problem with this company is that they obviously don't have any UK stock so you order it and they pass the order on to China, who then send it to you from there so the whole thing takes an age. There is a 7-12 WORKING day despatch so could be almost 3 weeks and that's from when it's sent from China not when you place your UK order. I ordered on 30th October and no sign yet. Wish I'd read these reviews before I ordered.

My experience with Lampsmorden didn’t start off well cause the lights took around 3 weeks to come, unbeknown to me that they were coming from China. When my electrician tried to install them, they were not correct. Lights advertised as IP65 whereas they were IP20 in the install manual meaning only indoor lights and not waterproof. I contacted the company and they dealt with it quickly, asked me to discard lights which I did and then they issued a refund quickly so although it was frustrating as we couldn’t install the lights, we received a refund. I would recommend anyone buying to double check the install manual and ensure the lights meet the spec.

The ceiling lamp which I purchased was wonderful. However after the electrician fitted it one bulb cracked, I contacted the seller via their customer care email and I received a positive reply almost immediately offering to replace the bulb free of charge!
I can't fault their customer care and the product was excellent and impressive.

Last year we bought 2 x Colourful Bauhaus Kitchen Island Pendant lights in Red/Pink. We love these lights, they provide a focal point for the room and they emit just the right amount of light for the dining table.

Ordered two lights on 05/10/25 they've not arrived yet, emailed to ask for update and been on chatbot over 5 times with not one response. The tracking provided says Royal Mail and doesnt exist be very careful ive paid £267 and feel ive been scammed

Subsequent to my review of Lampsmodern They posted a very nice response saying they were sorry I’ve had a bad experience etc. however they have still not got back to me to tell me how to return my goods and get a refund. So so bad. Don’t buy anything from them.

The website looks like a UK site. But be aware these lights ship from China. If you have a problem and want to return the lights you need to send them back to China at your own expense. They do not have a UK return address. I had two lights that arrived that did not match description and one of those was damaged. The only way to get refund is to send them back at my own expense. Which is nearly as much as what I paid for the lights. My advice is to give this company a wide berth and find a genuine UK company instead.

I have received the order after a long wait, I now want to return the item but they are not providing me with the information to return, I have emailed numerous times and called numerous times and had no response, do not order from here they are a scam! Luckily I have purchased through Klarna so they can investigate, please be aware anyone!

I ordered it on Sep 20 and received it today, Oct 13. The packaging and quality likes from Temu or Taobao which made me felt overpriced. The screw doesn’t fit and cannot install, need to ask for a return now.

The light eventually arrived after about 4 weeks. It's severely damaged and is not fit for use. The quality is like something from Temu - my electrician said it wasn't safe. AVOID

I ordered of this company 4 lights which were very poor quality and not as advertised at all also 2 were broken i contacted them straight away and was told I would have to send them back myself at cost although they advertised free returns also was offered 20% 30% 40% and finally 50% all while I opened a case with PayPal I finally agreed to 50% to just get something back but was told I had to close my PayPal case first well low and behold as soon as it's closed no response from them at all and no money either they knew I couldn't reopen the case and scammed me in to closing it

Seller waited until the paypal claims window had closed and then sent me the wrong coloured lights. They offered a refund but only if I post them back to China at my own expense. Do not buy from this company which passes itself off as a Europe based but is actually in China.

The items took forever to arrive and were in a very poor condition. The paintwork on the lamps was inferior with scuffs and marks so bad, I didn’t bother to open the second parcel. The company, who I thought were Europe based but are in China, keep making me offers of 20% off, 30% off and won’t send me a return label. I used PayPal to pay and have referred it to them for a resolution. Avoid.

Beyond unprofessional. Received the wrong lamp after months of waiting. Was promised a replacement, never arrived. No response from customer service after repeat emails over months, and no refund. Only if you want to throw your money out the window you should dare to buy there!
