I used Leaders to find my rented property 5 years ago. Jackie took the time to understand my requirements and treated me like a human being instead of a "quick commision" which was the experience I had with other agents. Having ended my tenancy in December 2023 Jackie dealt with this again and remembered me from previously. Very professional and friendly and helped the whole process run smoothly.

Jackie at Leaders (Sutton) and the rest of her Team have been extremely helpful as always in providing last minute help and communications in order for the tenancy to commence smoothly on 15th Jan 2024.

Ended my tenancy a month ago and my deposit was still not returned. Only when I urged them did they told us the landlord claimed us a fee because we changed their locks.
This was obviously falsified. And I remember the day when I returned the keys I asked if both of us need to sign on something and they said no. This was suspicious and now proved my suspicion was right! Obviously they planned for it. It was their common practice and they worked with some of their landlords for falsify condemnation because they know rules and how to play with the TDS game!
This is a dishonest agent and never should you work with them!

Might be one of the rare agencies which take you directly to the bests of the market. Many thanks dear Jacqueline.

DO NOT RENT WITH LEADERS. DON’T FALL FOR THEIR CRAP!

If I could give negative stars I would. I had the worst experience renting with them. They made my life a nightmare. All my rent was paid fully and in time through direct debit. Never late on a single payment. Never made a fuss about rent increase. I rented for just over a year.

Due to buying, I decided to terminate my tenancy early. They charged the largest fees (pretty much a whole months rent). I even had to stay in until the day the new tenant moved in. Which clearly shows they don’t even bother with checking if the properties are safe for new tenants. They made up the biggest crap in the check out report. Not a single thing being true or no checks to see if it was previously damaged.

They had images in the check out report which they didn’t have in the check in report. So many things they had picked up on were already broken or not working.

Apparently the property wasn’t clean even though I had it cleaned by a professional end of tenancy cleaning company. Then they held my deposit for over 2 months for no reason. They kept saying its being finalised. Despite leaving the property in a better condition then when I moved in they then tried to tell me they needed to clean more. Even though I gave the keys back the same day the new tenant moved it. So not sure where they found the time to do that thorough clean for which they wanted to charge me £100 for.

I had to threat them with legal action to get my deposit back. They sent me the wrong amount and it took another 3 months back and forth. They finally sent me the balance after I had threatened to take them to court. The lack of communication and professionalism and just pure lies is shocking.

Someone needs to take them down. Take legal action if you have to. The senior leadership team needs to change out his whole team as they are a bunch of imbeciles working.

I am very happy with the support I received from Sian Walk and the rest of the staff at Leaders Estate Agency in Sutton (Lettings). They are courteous and professional and made my flat hunting experience a stress free one.
They always returned my call and responded to my email and this helped to speed up the process of completing the paperwork for the property.
They ensured I was comfortable after the move by phoning and emailing me which helped me to settle into the property. I will definitely do business with them again.

Sutton/Croydon branch. Been waiting almost a year for them to sort out issues they have created, failed to discuss new rent increase with us instead just upped it and told us it should've been a different amount for past 6 months and expect us to just pay it, issues from the NDO payments that they've no record of where the moneys actually gone and was told its accidentally been paid to the landlord for the past 5 years which they are now trying to recoup from us, the NDO figure was even incorrect which I've supplied proof off,other issues include being told conflicting things to the landlord (who has now decided to sell through a completely different company despite leaders managing to for 5+ years - tells you everything). Constantly lying about being on other calls when try to contact them, been waiting over a WEEK now for simple replies to an email sent. Have in total spent 100s of hours trying to clear up THEIR mess!! Even had to get one of the Directors involved and she cant be bothered to sort the issues or even respond to emails! If you want your property managed or sold forget using Leaders they haven't got a clue what they are doing.!

I have just let my flat for a third time with Leaders of Sutton, Surrey . When I visited the office recently, they talked through the current letting situation and advised rental figures. For the first time Jackie came to the flat and advised me what I needed to do to prepare it for letting. Each time, when I said I was ready to look for a new tenant, they were straight on to marketing it and soon had several viewings lined up on a day that suited my plans and the tenants who were leaving. Summer kept me informed of the open day plans and was at the flat to oversee the viewings. Then Ruth and colleagues considered the offers that quickly came in and helped me decide which to pursue and soon got on with the referencing. I am happy to recommend Leaders to future landlords.

The service I receive as a landlord from Jackie Parson of Leaders is Sutton has always been extremely professional and helpful. Jackie is very positive and truly brilliant at her role as a property letting negotiator; many Thanks to Jackie.

We have been using Leaders Sutton on the Rentals side as a Landlord for over 20 years. They have provided us with a very professional and a consistently high class service (with a smile!) throughout this period. The last occasion we used them was in November 2022. Jackie was our main contact on this occasion. Her in depth knowledge of the market was very useful and she guided us through the whole process wonderfully well. She is very honest and upfront and tells you things as they are, not what you want to hear! Summer who joined the Company last year was also very good and efficient on this job. They managed to get everything done without delay despite the fact that we were running into the Xmas period. I would not have any hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to another Landlord.

Please avoid Leaders agent at all cost.

I signed tenancy agreement on 16 November 2022. When I got key on 17 Nov and moved in, We found bathroom and washing machine infected with mould, leaking roof, radiator heavily cobwebs between panels, kitchen drawers are greasy, heavy furniture left out by previous tenant even though I was having unfurnished place and the list is endless.

Due to mould, my family and I are worried about using the bathroom and never used the washing machine. I have to go elsewhere to do laundry.

The place was previously treated for mould and leak roof which they never told me. The mould issue was even identified in inventory. They never bother to informed me before signing contract even though they were well aware of.

I have been tossed between Sutton office, their maintenance department and customer care for last 27 days. No action has been take apparently due to they don’t able to contact landlord to agree the repair cost. I was told issues are not serious enough or trivial.

When I exhausted with my efforts, requested to leave property. But I was told that I have pay new tenancy setup fees, inventory cost and pay rent until they find replacement tenant. I don’t know how this can be fair dealing in their book?

When I raised complaint about the service through leaders customer service on 3 December and 9th December. I was told due to festive season, they will come back after 10Jan which is almost two months. What kind of the customer service is this?

I instructed them to let and manage my property. The found a tenant quickly, moved them in with no inventory, but still charged me for one, failed to regularly check and report on the property, but still charged me for it. Failed to instruct a plumber a week after the tenant reported a block sink, resulting in a flood. Incompetent untrained staff, who know nothing about letting laws or property general maintenance. All they care about is making as much money out of a landlord's property they can. Not professional, knowledgeable and they provide no service. Avoid them like the plague.

Brilliant service from the team at Leaders Sutton. Have to give a special mention to Jackie Parsons who has been very friendly and helpful from the get go. The rest of the team are great too, have also been in contact with Ruth and Summer who are always quick to respond.

Have been letting our properties out through Leaders in Sutton for some years now. Excellent help and service from their team there. Particularly recommend dealing with Jackie Parsons there. She is 100% professional in ensuring tenants have the right criteria before renting a property to them. She is also well placed to give excellent help and advice drawing on her many years in the lettings business.

Jackie of Leaders in Sutton was a great help in having our buy to let apartment in Sutton repaired and cleaned up for the next tenant. She remained in contact with use and sent us pictures and it was clear that she put our interests first. Would that all employees in UK businesses were as dedicated and communicative as she was. 5 stars for Jackie.

• In February 2022 my daughter received an offer from a buyer through Leaders. Leaders omitted to tell her that the buyer had not got a mortgage – as he had been on furlough and had only been employed in his present job for circa 9 months and therefore not eligible. They still advised her to take her flat off the market, and as this was the first time she had sold – she listened to Mike the Branch Manager. Leaders further informed her that her buyer would not get a mortgage offer until April 2022 but still advised her to keep the flat off the market! When I called them on her behalf and spoke to Neeve in early May I said it needs to go back on the market as we can’t rely on someone who without a mortgage offer to be a bona fide buyer. It didn’t happen! I also spoke with head office who agreed with me that it wasn’t best practice to accept offers (or indeed show anyone around) a property with no proven mortgage offer in place. When I spoke with Mike recently on my daughter's behalf, he was both aggressive and evasive. I told him that Neeve had told my daughter that her buyer had paid 2k for a search and survey which was clearly untrue as no one had surveyed the property. When I mentioned this to Mike – even though he said that all calls with clients were logged when told to check the records he found, when challenged, that there was no log of this information. Earlier in the conversation, he had been adamant that EVERY interaction was documented – only when it suited them? My last question to him was “has she got a buyer” to which he replied: “Good question”! He also tried to shift the blame to my daughter for agreeing to take the flat off the market when clearly that was due to the misleading and incorrect advice given to her by Leaders. My daughter had an offer accepted on a property that she had fallen in love with, and proceeded with the survey and search after being reassured by Mike that the mortgage broker advising her buyer could be “a bit slow” and not to worry. We since learned that her buyer cannot get a mortgage – which has been obvious to me since late March - and should have been obvious to Leaders. So now my daughter's flat was off the market for 4 months when she could have found another buyer and bought the house she wanted. Her mortgage offer expires in September and with the current economic downturn who know what will happen. When my daughter asked Neeve today to explain why they had forwarded an offer from the buyer with no evidence that he had a mortgage offer in place – she said well Heather, of JC Mortgage Brokers said” it would be OK” so Neeve didn’t ask for any further proof – she didn’t ask for proof from the broker or indeed from the buyer (who would have been in possession of the offer as well – the buyer kept saying that his broker had it. This is quite unacceptable, what kind of estate agent does not ask for proof? Peter Kavanagh the CEO, did get involved at my urging – but am guessing Michael has sold him the same story he was trying to tell me. My daughter has paid for two surveys as she was pressed by Leaders to find a place. My husband and I removed the “SOLD” sign which had been in place since February - when the whole sorry story began. Leaders are claiming that they did remarket the property in April BUT this is clearly untrue as the sign remained as SOLD thoughout! The property in question is now in the hands of another, more capable and trustworthy Estate Agent. Both Neeve and Michael clearly require re-training or should consider another career.

Michael Wilson . the letting manager was good and helpful. The letting team were also quite helpful.

Jackie Parsons from Leaders Sutton Branch has been very helpful and supportive over the years in the management of my property. My property needed work in the kitchen and bathroom, Jackie arranged the contractors and gave me updates on the work. At all stages of the work, she consulted me. She was always upfront and honest about what needed to be done, she was very professional.

I have given my property to the Leaders Sutton branch for some years, Jackie and the team have done an excellent job in managing the property well.

They never pick up their phone or reply to any email.
I had a viewing with them yesterday had to cancel it due to testing positive for corona.
They assured me they would send me a video.
Still waiting for that video even put a offer on the property still no reply i have been calling them since morning.
