Very impressed by the quality of Chris's work and service.

I met Chris and his team over 10 years ago when they removed my back boiler and fitted a new boiler in my old house.
In my experience with the team I cannot fault a thing over 10 years of dealing with this company.
Chris and team bend over backwards and go above and beyond in installing good reliable quality products and maintaining them to a high standard customer service is a must to this company and they should be very proud as they exceed all in everything they do.
I wouldn’t dream of using anyone else.
Now looking forward to air conditioning being installed this week well done Chris and the whole team you are brilliant guys and so friendly even with feral cats 😂

Competent service, but significantly overpriced. I was charged £470 (inc. VAT) to replace a PRV and expansion vessel on an unvented cylinder — a relatively straightforward job that took around 90 minutes.
The parts involved are readily available for under £100, which effectively leaves around £370 attributed to labour. That equates to an implied hourly rate of close to £250, which feels excessive for the work undertaken.
I queried the invoice and was told the business does not operate on an hourly rate model. In fairness, the final invoice did match the prior estimate (though an estimate is not the same as a fixed quote).
Overall, while the work itself appears to have been carried out competently, the pricing is difficult to justify and would make me hesitant to use this service again.

Additional comments addressing feedback from LPH:

Thank you for your response. To be clear, my concern is not that the final invoice differed from the estimate — it did not, and I settled it in full. The issue is that the estimate contained no indication of how long the work was expected to take. Based on the overall figure, I reasonably assumed a substantially longer job than the approximately 90 minutes actually required.

That lack of transparency is material, as it prevented me from making an informed decision at the outset.

At no stage have I asked for a reduction in the invoice. Following receipt of the final bill, I simply requested a breakdown between parts and labour, which you have chosen not to provide. In the absence of that transparency, I felt it appropriate to leave a factual review reflecting my experience.
For clarity, you have confirmed that the total charge (excluding VAT) was £392. The parts required — an expansion vessel and PRV — are readily available from trade retailers for under £100. On that basis, the remaining cost appears to represent approximately £300 (ex VAT) for around 90 minutes of work.

I believe many prospective customers would consider that level of labour charge to be high, particularly given the absence of any prior indication of the expected duration.

Historically found it idfficult to find a reliable plumbing team. LPH have been nothing but professional since I started using them 3 years ago. Now my #1 choice!

We've been customers of LPH for many years and have always had excellent, friendly service. We recently decided to have air conditioning and contacted Chris. He visited and gave advice on different units, installation/positioning so we could decide what was best for us. The quote was very reasonable so we went ahead. On the appointed date Chris and Sam arrived and completed the work with great attentiion to detail and minimal disruption. We are delighted with the result. Very friendly and highly professional, great work!

Having moved home twice in the last 6 years this is my second boiler and bathroom that Chris has supplied and fitted for me .

Chris has been our plumber for a while now and we decided to have a complete new bathroom fitted. It was quite a big job but Chris worked with us to ensure we got it just how we wanted it, offered advice on fixtures and fittings. We trust him so felt happy going away while the work was completed and came home to an amazing new bathroom. Installed a new boiler 3 years ago. Installation was as per quoted. On time and at price quoted. Since then it’s run perfectly and been serviced every 12 months.
We had a problem with a radiator (not connected to any work previously done by Lees). Phoned Chris who responded immediately and sorted it. They are polite and professional. Feel confident that any plumbing issues we have are well covered by Lees Plumbing.

I have been using this company for over 10 years. Recently my central heating boiler stopped working. One phone call to Chris Lee and it was fixed the next day by Sam who is a credit to the company. Both Chris and Sam are always pleasant, polite , professional, knowledgable and totally trustworthy.

Service done by Sam and as always polite and friendly, we have used LPH for the last 7+ years and wouldn't go anywhere else, Chris the owner and Sam are both super reliable and very knowledgeable.

I recently sent an email and left a message on the phone in a panic as my heating had failed and didn’t know how to solve the problem. ( not technically very able) Chris immediately called back and despite being busy arranged a visit. He arrived promptly , sorted the problem and reassured me when I ranted on, thinking that I would need new radiators etc. He patiently explained about the water pressure valve. I was panicking! . I would
highly recommend him. Not all plumbers are so good and patient with their clients.

Chris carried out the annual service on our gas boiler.
We were able to negotiate a suitable time and he arrived earlier by arrangement that day. He is reliable, efficient and helpful.

Sam from Lee’s Plumbing & Heating visited today to carry out a boiler service and replace the downstairs toilet flushing system and fill valve. From start to finish, the service was excellent.
Sam arrived on time, was friendly and professional, and took the time to explain what he was doing at each stage. The boiler service was carried out thoroughly, and he quickly identified and resolved the issue with the toilet, replacing both the flushing system and fill valve with high-quality parts.
Everything was completed efficiently and with great attention to detail. Sam left the work area clean and tidy, and the toilet now works perfectly. It's clear he takes pride in his work and values great customer service.
I’m really pleased with the experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use Lee’s Plumbing & Heating Limited again. Highly recommended!
