Slow VPS Performance And Poor Customer Support
I had a very disappointing experience with LightNode.
First, their customer support did not reply within the promised 48 hours. When a VPS service has technical issues, timely support is very important, but I did not receive the response I expected.
Second, the VPS I purchased felt very overcrowded and slow. The performance was poor, the connection was not smooth, and it made the service difficult to use properly.
Overall, this was a bad experience for me. I expected a stable VPS and responsive support, but unfortunately LightNode did not meet those expectations.
I would not recommend this service based on my experience.
Poor performance, zero customer service, and a TOS that guarantees you nothing
LightNode (lightnode.com) is a company I cannot recommend to anyone. My honest experience:
-Zero customer service. Support tickets went completely unanswered. No replies, ever.
-Poor performance. The service did not deliver what was promised at signup.
-No accountability. The team is opaque and unreachable, which tells you everything.
-You will not save money. Any pennies you think you save are lost to a service that does not work.
--Read their Terms of Service before you pay. It is written so they owe you nothing:
-No support obligation. Their TOS only says they "reserve the right" to respond to support requests. It is a right, not a duty. So unanswered tickets are not a bug, they are by design.
-No service guarantee. Everything is provided "as is" and "as available." They explicitly do not warrant that the service will be secure, available, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements (Section 8).
-No data protection. They make no commitment to keep backups and accept no responsibility for lost or destroyed data (Sections 3.6 and 9).
-No refunds. All fees are non-refundable, and they can terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, and destroy your data immediately (Section 11).
-No real recourse. Disputes are funneled into binding arbitration, with no court and no class action.
--In plain terms: you pay up front, they promise nothing, they can cut you off whenever they like, and you cannot get your money back. That is not a service contract. That is a one-way door.
If you are comparing VPS providers, go with an established, reliable firm with real support obligations.
Do not risk your money on LightNode. None of what you hope for gets delivered.
Verdict: avoid lightnode.com.
Worst VPS Provider Ever - Scam, No Support, Still Charging After Issues
Absolutely terrible experience with LightNode. Here is what happened:
1. TERRIBLE NETWORK SPEED: Paid for Taiwan VPS but actual speed is only 1.56 Mbps - completely unusable for any business purpose.
2. WRONG IP LOCATION: Purchased Taiwan (Taipei II) VPS but the IP address shows as United States location. This is false advertising.
3. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Submitted support tickets 3 days ago with ZERO proper response. Just automated replies with no real solution.
4. PHONE NOT ANSWERED: Tried calling the company directly - nobody picked up. Complete silence from their team.
5. STILL CHARGING AFTER STOPPING: When I tried to stop the server to avoid further charges, they warned that stopping the server STILL incurs charges. This is a trap with no way out.
I have never experienced such a dishonest and unprofessional hosting company in my life. They take your money, deliver nothing close to what was advertised, and disappear when you need help.
STAY AWAY FROM LIGHTNODE. This company is a complete scam. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Made ticket 2 months ago no answer you top up credit but service is bad and you cannot refund credit as no one is there. I think that you cannot find worst provider than this one.
AVOID THOSE SCAMERS
I had a server with my whole work set-up there and one day after I upgraded to a better machine and payed for it, it crashed. It has been three weeks and no one is replaying for a ticket that I made, for my emails and on the chat. I feel like I have been robed. Because I was. 40USD down the drain. DONT USE IT.

The payment system did not work properly. Money was charged from my account, but the balance was never credited. Support did not respond for days, and because of their failure to process the payment, my server was deleted.
Funds taken. No balance update. No support. Server gone.
This is beyond unprofessional — it’s a complete breakdown of service and responsibility. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before trusting this company with their money or infrastructure.
Support doesn't exist
Support doesn't exist, I've had a ticket pending for 2.5 weeks without a response. They push you to deposit extra credits to your account, once you realise that the service is unusable, it's too late, you can't take out the credit anymore.

Go better somewhere else
No, or very little price information without logging in. Tried to run a N8N app, the version is soooooo old, not usable at all. No ticket answer. Minimum topup of $10 before you can do anything. Bad GUI. And thats all before i can even start using their service. I'm going somewhere else.
For the ones complaining about scam and overcharging, the actual charge is in HK Dollar (which is ~8 times USD). So no scam on this part but not disclosed before either.
Very bad at customer service
UPDATE! After about 2 weeks I got no answer and they deleted my server with it's entire data! It's a nightmare. Never trust them!
- Their website had a bug that got 404 error when tried to recharge. After some tries my account got suspended and after 4 days they haven't answered me yet. My whole business is down for 4 days and everything is getting ruined and still no one from lightnode gives an answer

I think they are scammers, I tryed to add $10 into my account but it tries to get $100! I regected request in my account and check everything again, I chose to charge only $10 into my account but next time was same request come to my bank app as $100!! so simply I tried to delete my account but there is no delete account option!

We ordered the bluestack server but we can not use the bluestack on the server, I try to contact the support for fixing and refund but no one cares us and no one replies us. They do not refund as well. We already sent the refund request 2 weeks but they do not address it.

While requesting a quote for hosting capabilities, I got the answer "The price is too high. Do you really need to know it?"
HORRIBLE, JUST HORRIBLE
Without any notification, they (!) deleted 2 my already working VPS because of (!) "out of capacity". I'm just speaking to the void in the support, they even didn't care to train their bot to react to "alive person needed", you can just select an option in the chat and that's all.
Being a CTO of a startup, and being a developer for over a 15 years, ordering all kinds of hosting, VPS, dedicated, GPU etc. all the time, with all my confidence I can assure you that Lightnode is truly unique, I was never treated as absolutely nothing never before.
For all new clients considering Lightnode I strongly recommend to do not even look this way.
All existing Lightnode clients I urge to IMMEDIATELY change your provider because your business is in danger, you can just wake up next morning with your servers gone.

Ho comprato la vpn il 21/7/25 per utilizzare un software in cloud. Purtroppo il software non si connetteva al cloud ed il 22/7/25 ho aperto un ticket per risolvere il problema. Dopo 8 giorni, non avendo ricevuto nessuna risposta, ho aperto un nuovo ticket chiedendo di chiudere l'account ed avere il rimborso dei soldi versati (Se non posso utilizzare il software per cui ho comprato la vpn la vpn non mi serve a nulla). Era il 30/7/25

Careful! I tried to top up my account by 25 USD, and during Visa 3D Secure I noticed that they wanted to charge my account 194.61 USD.
This is an outright scam! Please stay away from this service. Luckily, I noticed just in time.
