I had a fantastic experience with Local Eats during my time as a franchisee. The business model worked really well for me, and I genuinely enjoyed building and growing my location.

Unfortunately, due to personal life circumstances, I had to step away from the business. What really stood out to me was the support I received during that transition. The team at Local Eats were incredibly helpful in facilitating the sale, and I was able to exit at a great price with a smooth handover.

It’s also been great to see the business continue to thrive under new ownership, which says a lot about the strength of the brand and the support behind it.
Overall, a very positive experience, and I’d highly recommend Local Eats to anyone considering joining the franchise.

I started with one area and, like any new business, it took effort at the beginning. But once I got momentum, things moved quickly.

Within a relatively short space of time I was seeing strong, consistent orders coming through, and the growth was good enough that I’ve now gone on to take over a second area. That alone shows the potential if you apply yourself properly.

What really stands out is the support from the head office team. Whether it’s finances, marketing, customer service or general guidance, they’re always available and actually help you move things forward, not just give basic advice.

It’s not a “set it and forget it” business. You still need to put the work in, build relationships with takeaways and push your marketing. But if you do that, the model works.

For me, it’s been a very good decision. Financially I am in a strong position now, and the first area I launched is largely running itself with far less day-to-day involvement.

Info given by local eats franchisor is more of a bait. You will need to do your research diligently. Their marketing tell you £6,000 to start up: that's just your licence. In reality your looking at more or less £25,000. Your income commission is 3% of sale. To earn the £70k gross a year you will have to manage sales in excess of £2 millions. My research on Companies house has revealed struggling franchisees with retained profit of around £15k. A number of local eats franchisee have ceased trading. Check the balance sheets available on Companies House, they tell a different story from the advert.
