I had the opportunity to work closely with the owner of Maizon Zee, and I can confidently say that the brand truly embodies perfectionism. Great attention is given to every detail, from the quality of ingredients and product design to packaging and customer experience. Recently left a positive review which I take back

Recently left a positive review which was in fact promted, but I take it back. This company is clearly experiencing difficulties and is clearly not taking any accountability for the situation. What makes things worse is that for the 6 weeks I have not received my order i have been recieving constant marketing emails encouraging me to buy as if any new order would ever be shipped. I have been in contact with the brand (probably just 1 person) directly and not only have given empty promises on my order being shipped they even encouraged me to sign up for a subscription knowing full well they arent planning on shipping anything. I am fumimg.

My New Favorite Skincare Treat

I was very happy with my Miss Hammam bundle and it left my skin feeling very nice and clean, it is definitely a good addition to your everything shower. Overall I was very happy with my order after using it and felt my skin feeling much smoother and brighter following the exfoliation and I would be happy to order again.

Best luxury Moroccan hammam

As someone used to Moroccan hammam products, I was honestly impressed. The textures feel authentic (especially the black soap), and the whole experience really reminds me of a proper hammam at home.

Everything feels well thought out, from the formulations to the scents and packaging. It’s rare to find a brand that keeps that traditional feel while still making it more modern and aesthetic.

Really happy with my order, I’d definitely recommend.

Please stay away from this company

I placed an order with Maison Zee in November and the experience has been extremely frustrating.

I had to chase multiple times for updates, and most responses were generic with no clear information. In February, I received an email saying the shipment had arrived and that my order would be sent that week. A month later nothing had been dispatched. When I chased again, I was then told they had run out of product, meaning I never received half of my order.

I was promised a refund for the missing items, but over a month later I still haven’t received it. When I contacted them again, I was told to contact my bank instead, which is unacceptable considering they confirmed the refund themselves.

As for the products, the glove is okay, but I personally wouldn’t bother with the cleansing balm.

The brand is clearly very strong on social media and marketing, but unfortunately the customer service and order fulfilment do not match the image they portray.

Very disappointing overall.

I'm so sorry. Reading this, I can feel exactly how let down you've been, and you deserved so much better than this.

From the repeated chasing, to being told your order was on its way and then finding out it wasn't, to still waiting on a refund you were promised, every single one of those moments was a failure on our part, and I own that completely.

Being told to contact your bank after we confirmed the refund ourselves is not acceptable. That should never have happened, and I'm sorry it did.

I have personally looked into your refund and made sure it has now been processed. I also reached out to you directly via email, as I wanted to handle this with you personally rather than just through a public reply.

I know words aren't enough at this point, only actions are. But I genuinely hope that once you've received your refund and had a chance to see the changes we're making, you might feel differently about us. That's not something I'd ever ask for, it's something I hope we can earn. 🌿

AVOID❌

Ordered in November -What was supposed to be a gift for my mum turned into months of trying to get a response. After months of waiting patiently for my order I was told via email they were having delays and couldn’t fulfil my order - I was offered two options a refund by credit note (which is against the consumers act) or another product I opted in good faith the credit note which then didn’t work at checkout again I reached out to be told “one second pls” and have since not had any replies - absolutely shocking experience. Where is the customer service? MONTHS had gone by before sending an email and then to continue to hold money which rightfully should come back to me is a disgrace.I have gone through my bank however as it’s outside of the 120days I’m now left seeking legal action and will continue to do so until I either receive a refund or the small claims court can resolve - this is now a matter of principle.

Nothing delivered, lack updates, doesn’t reply

UPDATE…. After they replied to this review I sent a email and they have replied. They stoped my subscription and processed a refund. Still waiting on it but it can take 5 days. They also offered me a product to try for my wait which they didn’t have to and I’ll update if I receive it as it was a nice gesture of goodwill.

Another Update: Received a refund and received the free gift which was the cleanser and it’s 10/10 amazing product

It has been 3 months still haven’t received my order and when you contact them it takes forever for a response or they just stop responding. I’ve emailed and DMed both the same they will say it will be shipped next week and when it comes to it nothing has shipped.

Terrible customer service on Thursday the 25th said to me “Hey Lovely am checking your order details now” now Monday 30th and still no reply I’ve send 3 following messages nothing tho they are posting story’s and posting on their feed being online and not responding, One of the worst customer service I have dealt with just feels like a SCAM

If I would just have had proper updates and responses and not false promises and actually updating me, I wouldn’t have to leave this review. No product Shipped and now need a refund and they haven’t replied to me asking for one.

I would have loved to try these products but they failed every step of the way with their false promises and terrible customer service and no product received. I would not shop here again.

I set up a subscription with them and need that cancelled but they haven’t responded regarding that. I have to keep pushing the date back as I’ve not even had the first order.

I need the subscription cancelled and a full refund!. They say due to shipping delay and products not delivered if that’s the case you should cancel all orders you can not fulfill in the given timeframe, you are just going to have back log after back log. Reading the reviews their people from November still not had their order AVOID this company.

The products look nice on website and straight from Morocco but other than that this is the only good thing I can say about the company.

I hate leaving negative reviews, I never leave reviews but have never had this bad of an experience with a company. I’ve ordered from other small company’s from Morocco and they are always great with their delivery and updates and customer service.

They need to change their customer service and actually getting products to people. If I just had a response to my emails or messages I wouldn’t have wanted a refund or leave this review but that’s just not the case.

Please get back to me regarding this as this seems to be the only way I might get a response

I've read every word of this and I'm not going to brush past it. You've been patient, you've followed up repeatedly, you were mid-conversation with us on Thursday and then left without a response for days. That is inexcusable, and I'm genuinely sorry.

You've raised two very specific things that I want to action immediately:

1. Your subscription : I will cancel it as soon as I can locate your account so you will not be charged again.
2. Your refund : I will process it in full once I have your order details.

To do both of these today, please email me directly at orders@maisonzee.com with your order number and the email address used at checkout. I will personally respond within 24 hours with confirmation of both.

I also want to acknowledge something you said, that if you'd just had honest updates, you wouldn't have wanted a refund or left this review. You're right, and that stings because it's true. Better communication from us could have prevented all of this.

We experienced a serious shipment delay from Morocco that affected many orders from this period. That's the honest reason, but how we handled it, or didn't, is on us.

Please do reach out. I want to close this properly for you.

I'm truly sorry for the experience you've had. A November order still unresolved by end of March is not okay, and I completely understand why you've lost trust in us.

I want to be transparent about what happened. We experienced a significant delay with one of our shipments coming in from Morocco, which had a knock-on effect on a large number of orders from that period. We did our best to communicate this through our emails and social channels, but I know we didn't reach everyone, and that's a failure on our part.

I can confirm your refund has been fully processed. Please check your original payment method, if you haven't seen it within 3–5 business days, email me directly at orders@maisonzee.com and I'll chase it immediately.

We are a small independent brand and we are genuinely doing our best to stay true to our community. That doesn't excuse what you went through, but I want you to know this situation has made us better, in how we communicate, how we manage shipments, and how we show up for our customers.

You deserved better from us. I'm sorry.

Don’t bother ordering

Honestly so awful ordered in Nov and still haven’t received. If I knew beforehand by checking the reviews I would never have ordered. They pretend they’ve sent you emails regarding delays to your order somehow got lost! I was born at night not last night lmao. Genuinely not worth ordering from here ever. I pray for their downfall

I hear you, and I'm not going to argue with how you feel. Ordering in November and still not having resolution by March is genuinely awful, and your frustration is completely valid.

I want to address one thing honestly, the emails regarding delays were sent, but I accept that if they didn't reach you, the outcome is the same as if we never sent them. It was our responsibility to make sure you were informed, and we didn't do that well enough.

What I can confirm is that your refund has been fully processed. Please check your original payment method, if it hasn't come through within 3–5 business days, email me directly at orders@maisonzee.com and I will sort it personally.

We experienced a serious shipment delay from Morocco that affected a large number of orders from that period. It's not an excuse, it's context. And it's a situation that exposed real gaps in how we communicate with our customers. We've learned from it the hard way.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Awful. I made a purchase back in November 2025. I have communicated back and forth with the company and have received nothing but excuses. No reasoning was provided for the delay, i was then sold on another date for the items to arrive, and yet still nothing. Not only is this incredibly disappointing but very unprofessional. I have asked for a refund on many accounts and recieved nothing.

I won't pretend the delay communication was handled well, because it wasn't. We had a significant shipment delay coming in from Morocco that impacted a number of orders from that period, and the way we managed it left people like you completely in the dark. That's something I take full responsibility for.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a bundle in December and it’s now March and it’s still not arrived. The company initially answered my emails and said it was stuck in customs and then weeks later changed their story and said some of the items were out of stock. They have now stopped responding to my requests for a full refund. They are scammers.

What I can tell you is that we are not a scam. We are a small independent brand that went through a genuinely serious fulfilment crisis, a significant shipment delay from Morocco, followed by a stock discrepancy from our supplier that affected multiple orders. I accept that the way this was communicated to you was inconsistent and confusing, and that is entirely our fault.

Stopping responses to your refund requests is indefensible. I'm sorry.

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would. Like many people here I ordered a bundle in December and haven’t received it. I contacted them and they’ve been dragging their heels, eventually telling me last week that they don’t have every item in the order and offered alternatives. I asked for a refund (for the second time) on 12th, still haven’t heard anything. Please please do not buy from this company

Please read this and avoid!

I really wish I had checked reviews before buying from this company. I ordered the Miss Hammam bundle on 11/11/25 and have only just received my order - FOUR months later.

I completely understand that this is an independent company and that products are made in Morocco and that orders are made in batches to maintain quality and freshness. The website states delivery may take 4–6 weeks, which I was prepared for. However, four months is completely unacceptable.

What made the experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of communication and transparency from the company. If I hadn’t chased them myself, they would never have informed me that there were shipment issues. Even after they eventually received the products, they still didn’t communicate that they were missing items needed to fulfil my bundle. Instead, they stayed silent until I followed up again. All in all, I have chased them five times in this process. With over 20 emails back and forth.

The delay itself is bad enough, but the poor customer service and lack of proactive communication made the entire experience incredibly disappointing and stressful.

Overall, a very frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company unless you are prepared for extremely long waits and minimal communication.

You placed your order on 11th November with an expected delivery time of 6–8 weeks. Receiving your Miss Hammam bundle four months later,dispatched on 9th March, is completely unacceptable. What makes this situation even more disappointing is that you had to follow up five times and exchange more than one email with us when we should have been proactively keeping you informed at every step.
You deserved clear and transparent communication regarding the shipment delays from Morocco and the missing components in your bundle. The fact that you had to repeatedly chase us for updates is a failure on our part, and I completely understand how stressful and frustrating that must have been.
This experience falls far short of the level of care and service I want every Maison Zee customer to receive. We are a small team working closely with artisan cooperatives in Morocco, but that is not an excuse. If anything, it makes clear, honest communication even more important.
I would like to make this right. I am issuing you store credit as a gesture of apology. I am also taking immediate steps to ensure this does not happen again, including improving our fulfilment processes, strengthening our communication systems, and setting more realistic delivery timelines on our website.
Thank you for your patience and for giving us the opportunity to serve you, even though we let you down. I truly hope you will accept my sincere apology.

Very bad customer service !

Took over 5 months to receive my order. A lot of my emails were unanswered. Products are lovely, but won't order again. It would have been nice to have a "compensation" free item as a way of making up for the length of time that they are making their customers wait.

Disappointed!

I placed my order back in December and it’s now March and I still haven’t received it. If only I had checked the reviews beforehand, I definitely would not have gone ahead with the purchase. This has been a very disappointing experience.
I’ve been trying to get a refund, but the process has been extremely slow and frustrating. They keep dragging things out and faffing about instead of resolving the issue. I really regret buying from here.
Overall, the service has been awful and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
