Went to look at housewares
Went to look at housewares . Isle is narrow and a clerk was sitting in a rolling chair putting things on bottom shelf. I moved my cart because another shopper came with a cart. When I could no longer shopi waited for the clerk to finish what she was doing before I ask her to move because I couldn't back or go forward. Her boss stopped do u need to get thru and we smiled. The clerk moved her chair and snarked well, u could have asked or said excuse me! Totally uncalled for we were waiting patiently because we knew she saw us. The customer had us closed in behind us and it was a very short end where we were. Won't be back. Snarky, come on!!!!
Zero Stars
If I could give zero stars for Marshalls.com, I would. Unprofessional does not begin to describe their service reps and business practices. They sent me the wrong item- not even a close item. Mistakes happen, and although disappointed, I get it. What I don't get is the hoops I had to jump through to get the correct item without paying multiple times for return and shipping fees. I have made so many calls to them about one item. Cannot even get a supervisor. Was told I am on a call back list because said supervisors are all busy and I should expect a call between 24 and 48 hours. My advice? Don't ever shop with them online and file with the BBB if you do.

When you use a foreign credit card in Marshalls US you are presented with the choice to pay in USD or your local currency (in our case EUR). The sales person is pushing the customer to use the foreign currency. Don't do this: Today Marshalls used an exchange rate of 0.987 EUR per USD. When choosing the USD option, our credit card company only charges 0.935 EUR per USD (same day). So Marshalls has added 5% to your bill.

Marshalls.com Has Severely Declined
Beware of purchasing at Marshalls.com from mid-month towards the end of the month. Youâll pay for an item. They wonât ship it for 10 days. They leave it up to the customer to contact them with a shipping exception (easy coding fix on their end IF theyâd take 2 minutes to do it). And then they send you an email saying theyâll refund within another 10 days. Meanwhile, the unfulfilled purchase hits your credit card for the month. This has happened about half the time I am making purchases for at least 6 months now. If its regularly happening to me that long, its happening systemically. Bad business practices - 1) Looks like a monthly float situation on their part, 2) High amount of unfulfilled orders.
Also, the photos online are beginning to not match the description on some items. When you ask them about it because youâd like to buy whatâs pictured & not the false description (I have been using that particular product for years but the quantity description listed online for the product is way off - its never been manufactured that way), they respond with âwe do not have information available.â Really bad response. Look at your own listed inventory.

I found a shirt with a clearance price of $8 on it .
When I went to pay for it @ the register , the lady perled the clearance sticker off of it and told me that it was 13.98 .
So I bought it because I really like the shirt , it's comfy and my favorite color .
At first , I was like ok , we'll people are Flippin stupid , but , when I thought about it , I was like how Flippin bogus , she just ripped me off , and acted like I did something wrong .
And her coworker didn't say anything to her .
Very bad experience
Very bad experience! I received some shoes that when I used them for the first time, I came home with a discomfort under the heel. When I checked them, the brand seal was peeled off and underneath was another blue seal with the shoe size covering a hole with a screw. I looked in the other one and it's the same. They sold me some used, broken and poorly repaired shoes. Is that the kind of products they sell online? I threw away my money and they have it, and I was left with some trashy shoes.
Misrepresented, faulty goods. LIARS
Their online store misrepresents plastic shoes as leather and wonât allow merchandise returned locally purchased via Pay Pal. They furnish return labels without clearly notifying the $12 charge, then ship items separately instead of in one package! I notified them I was unaware upon returning defective, misrepresented merchandise I was charged $12 per label X 6. They refunded 3 and promised a gift card for the balance unreceived, they now deny and refuse, so they lied! I spend thousands a year with them & TJ Maxx, but wonât anymore, as theyâre liars who misrepresent and sell defective goods. And clearly donât value their big spending customers!

SUPER ANNOYING
SUPER ANNOYING, we bought there several times and 9 times out of ten the stuff was broken damaged or open!!! We bought 2 claw machines in the last month, and both were broken and not working whatsoever and OPEN!!! I would definitely check all the boxes when they are returned. Make sure you get them fixed if theyâre broken itâs very inconvenient and annoying and I am super mad. Iâm not trying to be rude but you should probably try checking the boxes and all sorts of stuff to the people who work there, if youâre reading this marshals is not the place to go if youâre trying to buy any kind of nice toy for gift but if youâre looking for something small like not electronic then yeah or clothes but definitely not for claw machines. Sorry but no. I will say the only reason I didnât leave one star is because the workers there are generally very nice about it never had a problem with the workers just when you buy electronics there itâs generally messed up open all sorts of stuff. definitely would never go there. If buying electronics or anything like that like literally every time I bought anything electronic theyâre broken or open!
Order Nightmare
Ordered a bunch of items online. 11 were missing and 31 were damaged. Oh...and the person who packed the box did not put in the packing slip. Trying to work with any rep online is a nightmare. Their online communications are one of the worst experiences. You send all the pictures and whatever else they asked for and they refund you a few items. Then you have to create another ticket b/c you can't reply to the one they sent and go back and ask them about the other items and they refund you a few more. Then you create another ticket and they said we already refunded you twice and then they are done with you. No more communications from them. Decided to take the damaged items to the store and since I don't have the packing slip they will not refund you. The shipping receipt that you get in your email that has a barcode "For Store Use" doesn't work at the store. I asked her what is the purpose of the barcode if she can't use it. She doesn't know and does not care.
Very negative online order and return experience
1) there is charges on Mailing back the return which was not stated at time of purchase/order time.
2) in-store return takes forever - staff needs to manually mark items, match return items to receipt, check each item.
3) the return amount does not go back to the original payment of PayPal which was not stated at purchase/order time.
The entire experience is so negative that I WILL NEVER order online from Marshallâs anymore.
Poor customer service
The cashier at the Marshalls store in Irvine does not know how to talk nicely.
I had a very bad experience when I was returning a shirt with all the tags and the receipt. The shirt was too small for my son. It was a little bit dusty and wrinkled because I left it in the bag for 2 weeks, since I did not have the time to return it earlier. The cashier had to ask the manager to make such a simple return!
She was not polite and did not apologize when I complained.
I will tell all my friends about that bad experience.

Unhelpful. A waste of a Christmas present
We received a garden centre token from my brother-in-law. We have had a lot of illness. We have contacted Marshalls by both email and later phone to ask them to allow us an extra year to spend the token. We have asked to speak to the owner but have been promised a manager, which is clearly just a pointless exercise and have been generally stone-walled.
Store credit card is terrible, they cancel items ordered
They canceled one item in my recent order and I wonder why it let me purchase in the 1st place. The strangest thing is that they put the item back for sale on the site as available. Its a bad online ordering process. Some prices here are way cheaper compared to TjMaxx but sometimes saving a few bucks for a headache ordering process is not worth it. Their credit card with Synchrony is worthless. The customer service is crap for their credit card and they have the WORST handling of credit card dispute process out there when compared to others. Not worth your time to get and I will close my card after they failed to back me up on a dispute. Lazy, incompetent people and I am warning all my friends and family too.
