I have been working with Mars Translation for some years now, and my experience so far has been great. Steady volume of jobs, reasonable rates, and helpful project managers who are always prompt to answer. Also, they give me some flexibility on deadline & their payment system is very convenient too (no manual invoicing!).

I get constant spam messages from them. I have never indicated the slightest interest in translation services nor have I replied to any of their emails; I just keep marking them 'spam' and adding them to my blocklist only for them to write again a short time later from a new email address.

I have been working for them for 1 year as a freelance translator. I don't get frequent assignments from them. That's one of the problems, because I'm interested in stable income.
I've asked them to raise my rate 0.03 USD per word, which is quite low, even for such a f**cked up country as Russia where I'm from.
But worst of all, you have to wait for 2, sometimes even 3 months to get paid your project. Why does it have to be so long?

They constantly spam us.

I've been spammed by them repeatedly. They constantly email me, and I ask them to remove specific addresses, and then later, someone else from their company emails the same address. It's very spammy, and I'd never work with them.

We have been working with MARS for quite some time now, mostly engaged with language translations and voiceovers. I just want to take a minute today to appreciate the work done by MARS. The engagement and project management provided by Jully Li was excellent. Jully Li was completely Customer oriented and flexible in making changes and the quality of the work delivered is spot on!

We are looking forward to a continued partnership with MARS and can highly recommend this company.

AVOID like the plague.

It's the Chinese CCJK agency under a different guise. I'm a freelance translator, and after registering on the website, I was contacted by a Chinese manager with bad English who told me the highest rate for my language is USD 0.04, and they won't pay me more than that (while the price they charge the clients for my language is USD 0.14 to 0.17!). Out of every batch of questions I asked, she preferred to only answer one (and it usually took her three to six days). She also told me that I had to take an online timed "exam" for every subject area I listed (IT, Gaming, Marketing, etc. - about 8 altogether), and that she would activate the exams herself. You won't believe it, but I actually agreed, and she activated the exams - first two at a time, than one, but still not my main specializations which I had highlighted at the very beginning. After I successfully took two "exams", I had enough of that and asked her to activate the one for the subject area I prefer. Still no reply - and no work either. Beware!

They won’t stop spamming me. Terrible

Mars Translation has been a great resource for our organization. Great pricing, communication, and overall service. Eda is a joy to work with!

They do not provide their services as of high quality as they promise. Their services are actually of low quality. I definitely would not recommend you collaborate with them in any way.

I've never done business with this company, however, they decided it would be ok to spam my work email. Our company takes external emails as a security issue.

I have a good knowledge on the language the original text was being translated to.

So, before Mars, when I used another translator service, I knew the quality sucked. To my complaint, the company wrote back "We are now having this project recheck and review the whole strings." but they only re-did one single sentence. And that sentence was the exemplary one that I used to point out how horrible the translation quality was. What a waste of time and energy. I actually wished the company hadn't replied back. A single line re-do on crappy translation felt insulting.

You can imagine how skeptical I was of all the translation services when Cathy first reached out to me. Despite my skeptical tone, Cathy has been very professional and responsive. More importantly, the quality of the translation was by far better than the one from "T*s".

I'd say it was one of the best service I got from translating companies in the past few years. I'm pretty satisfied with the pricing as well. It's a little more expensive than "T's" - but paying slightly more for something usable turned out to be cheaper in the end.

Oh, and, I had used the 'proofreading' service as well. I think that might've been important factor on the end-quality.

Great flexibility and turnaround time from Carol and the Mars Team. Will definitely use them again.
