This is the first time I’ve ever had to use a solicitor before and understandably I was quite overwhelmed by the whole process. However Mary Monson made the whole process very straightforward and manageable. I was immediately introduced to Jamie Dickson who supported me every step of the way and went out of her way to regularly check in with me and support me when my mental health was very poor. I would highly recommend Mary Monson and would like to thank Jamie for all her hard work delivering the right outcome.

After seeking help from Mary Monson and specifically Jamie Dickson so many worries were almost immediately washed away, they were always happy to answer any questions and always there for whatever I needed. We paid around £50,000 to Mary Monson Solicitors and received almost no proper legal support. Communication was poor, promises of in-person visits and hearing attendance were broken, and professionalism was seriously lacking — including a director dismissing our concerns and failing to take meetings seriously. My father was pressured to plead guilty to charges he denies, case details were misrepresented in court, and vital case materials have been withheld even after legal aid was granted. Independent professionals have confirmed the service was wholly inadequate, leaving us misled, exploited, and distressed. In our experience, this firm failed in their duty of care, contractual obligations, and basic responsibility to represent their client — we strongly advise others to avoid them.

I was recommended to change my solicitor after a matter that had already been running for two years.
