Cracked aluminium rims⊠twice!
Had 2 sets of deep section aluminium rims with carbon shroud. First set rotted the aluminium due to trapped water(?) after cleaning according to LBS. Second set, about 4 years old and hardly used, went out of true. Took to LBS and inner alum rim cracked in multiple places. Both sets scrap. AVOID!
Great wheels, superb support
Bought a new set of wheels from one of their UK dealers and it performs fantastic, but even better was the support I got from Mavic.com when I needed a conversion set for my fork. Responded over the weekend in less than 24H.
Mavic e deemax s30 issue
Bought a pair of the new just released mavic e deemax s30 29â for new emtb..once fitted & one ride in (20 miles) the rear wheel hub flexed that much it rubbed the paint off the rear arm and caused excessive disc rub..mavic customer service would not replace but recommended sending back to France for inspection..the wheel came back last week..spokes re-tension & hub service..!!! (Remember This is a brand new wheel too)
lbs mechanic fitted yesterday and the issue is still happening..today the customer service agent Bruno was the most unhelpful agent I have ever talk toâŠbasically saying they would never issue a refund for the faulty wheel..he would not transfer me to speak to a manager..and basically tough luckâŠð¡

Failed freehub, refusing warranty. Avoid!
An Aksium freehub failed with about a thousand miles on it, ruining a tour. In fairness, Mavic responded very quickly, but they're telling me it's not covered by the warranty because 'it's ratchets, and it's normal wear, so fix it yourself'.
Not sure what's worse, the fact they renege on the warranty, or the fact that the hub can fail at any time with next to no mileage on it. Mind you, it's a good indicator of what Mavic themselves think about their wheels' quality if they consider a catastrophic failure every few hundred miles as 'normal'.

il 26 Aprile chiedo assistenza su una ruota mavic in garanzia da MTB usata per un migliaio di km e di solo pochi mesi.
La ruota presenta in varie sezioni misure diverse del canale(scoperta crepa interna).
Allego tutte le foto e i numeri di serie richiesti.
Invio la ruota come richiestomi(a loro spese) presso il centro di assistenza il 30 aprile.
Oggi 6 maggio ricevo dall'assistenza il riconoscimento della sostituzione completa in garanzia.
Peccato che purtroppo però il prodotto non Ú disponibile in questo momento, quindi la ruota sostitutiva mi verra' consegnata solamente a fine Giugno.
Beh!! che dire se le cose rimarranno tali dovrò confermare il mio giudizio su questo prodotto (che ha dimostrato scarsa qualità ) ma anche rispetto al servizio di garanzia ,anche perchÚ costringermi ad un fermo di oltre 2 mesi nella stagione più propizia ad usare la bici non mi entusiasma.
Sarò costretto a cercare un'altra soluzione non certo in casa MAVIC

Purchased a pair of MAVIC Ksyrium Pro Exalith Wheels from an authorised dealer. The surface coating of the rear wheel wore off within 1000km of riding. Most of the coating wore off in one ride and the rest deteriorated after two or more rides.
Mavic's own description of the Exalith coating is as follows:
âEnsuring superior braking performance on both wheels, the Exalith 2 braking surface shortens braking distances by up to 18% in wet conditions. The braking track also penetrates the alloy to delay rim wear and maintain the distinctive anthracite colour for thousands of kilometres.â
Noting the fact that I had ridden the wheels for a short period of time and in normal (albeit wet conditions) conditions for the time that I had it. I found it completely unreasonable that the coating wore completely off my wheels in such a short period of time. Itâs clear that the wheels were neither fit for purpose, nor well designed if this was an expected result of use in wet weather, which judging from the statement above - it was not.
After calling the customer service team, I was advised to send the wheel back to Mavic's service centre to have a warranty claim assessed. I sent wheels back to MAVIC's service centre in Annecy, France to have them fixed under warranty. Got no notification of assessment of that claim and only an incorrect quote. Although the representative customer service agent in the UK was understanding and helpful, there seems to be no coordination between the service centre and customer service in the company. My questions regarding the claim remain unanswered and I've asked for my wheel to be shipped back to me unrepaired. This is the last Mavic product I will purchase, and caution anyone who expects a company to stand behind their product against purchasing a MAVIC wheelset.

Mavic have failed they know they have design issues on rims and still want to charge you £350 to have it fixed.
I have a set of Cosmic Carbones and they developed a crack on the inner rim. It had developed over a period of time. This caused a buckle in the wheel.
Mavic are hiding behind warranty and are not interested in helping in any way.
They know they have design issues and should have done a recall but chose not to.
I Am deeply disappointed in their response and have been let down badly.

La compra la hice el 19/01/2021, recibà el producto dÃas después e inmediatamente inicie el proceso de devolución y reembolso, MAVIC recibió el producto el 01/02/2021 y a dÃa de hoy 09/02/2021 no he tenido el reembolso correspondiente. Por un error ajeno a mi, hace casi un mes que no puedo disponer de mi dinero. Una vergÃŒenza absoluta en los tiempos que corren que manejen una tienda online de una marca tan reconocida como una fruterÃa de barrio. El Sr. Bruno de Atención al cliente Mavic es sin duda uno de los puntos más bajos de toda la experiencia.

It seems that Mavic are unlikely to honour any warranty grantees. I have a rear Crossmax Pro which gained a crack in the rim from light use (green warm up run at a local bike park). Recioeved an emial from them to say both that the wheel weasnt covered by warranty...and that is was...in the same paragraph! They have now offered to fix but at cost price...(£231.84 + transport £24) even though I only bought the wheel in December last year - and itâs had minimal use. This is a £500 wheel set up...don't expect decent service, and don't pay extra money for what you expect to be top quality wheels and good service. There are plenty of other brands that will offer similar products with better customer service.
Mavic Carbon Cosmic Pro Warranty
One of my Carbon Cosmic Pro presented a crack at the spoke. Local dealer told me that this was common on some of the Mavic wheels. went online and filed my claim in September of this year and still don't have an answer from Mavic. Wheels are 2 year old and the warranty it's for 3 years. I wouldn't rate this as poor service. I would rate it as NO Service at all.
Worst customer service I ever had toâŠ
This is the worst company and customer service I ever had to deal with. I used the Mavic Carbone Cosmic Elite 40 for a while now. On a trip in the Swiss Alps in August, the front wheel overheated from breaking and the tire exploded. Result, broken collar bone and CHF 20K medical costs for the surgery. I contacted their customer service in the US first explaining the situation 3 times to get a new wheel. After not hearing back from them for more than 2 months, I contacted their EU CS. All I get is that I will have to wait as they're not responsible. In todays world, this is absolutely unacceptable and not the standard you'd expect from a company that claims to be world leader in wheel manufacturing. I can only shake my head about this and will look into alternatives now and they will hear from my lawyer...

Customer service line is shut down. Goes straight to voicemail and tells you to email Michael Vaughton. He's the COO/CCO/CMO. LOL! So I'm guessing that won't do much. I submitted a ticket on their website a week ago, still no update. Seems like the place is in the process of shutting down and no one cares. I wouldn't recommend buying any of their stuff unless you get it at a deep discount.

I bought a brand new set of cosmic elite wheels and after fitting them to my bike I immediately found them to be faulty, with there being excessive friction in the freehub body. I then sent the wheel away to mavic for repair and after 6 weeks of waiting they finally returned them, but in worse condition than before, with the freehub body now completely seized. Leading me to believe an incompetent mechanic had been working on them - it takes the average cyclist one look to see that those wheels were not repaired.
It is now 3 months later and they still havenât managed to resolve the issue. The excuse being they need to get in touch with the in-house mechanic that looked at them to establish what was done to the freehub body. (PATHETIC EXCUSE). I have asked several times for a replacement pair but have been told that this is not company procedure.
This company claims to be the most reputable brand in cycling but they way they treat customers is appalling.

My advice would be think carefully before buying online any products which you might need to change, ie shoes, apparel etc. The returns policy states refunds within 14 days. I have just received a refund - however it has taken just over one calendar month after Mavic received the items, and that was after making several phone calls and emails to CS. Not a great experience.

Their customer service is so so poor I had an issue with my top of the range carbon rims, cosmic pro sl ust wheelset they the free hub went and they didnât want to replace I got no free part and my warranty was still just under 13 months.
Avoid if possible I would have giving no stars if it allowed me to.
Their U.K. base was horrible and very slow to respond to my emails and didnât want to know about my issue

Beim Bremsen machte mein Vorderrad (Crossride Light WTS) seltsame GerÀusche. Nach einer kurzen Recherche stellte sich heraus, dass wohl mehrere dieses Problem mit exakt dem gleichen Laufrad hatten.
Nach einer Garantieanfrage erhielt ich sehr schnell die BestÀtigung, dass mein Laufrad auf Garantie ausgetauscht wird. Ich konnte das Paket kostenlos an Mavic nach Frankreich schicken. Leider warte ich nun schon seit 7 Wochen!!! auf ein neues Laufrad. Ich erreiche zwar Mitarbeiter am Telefon jedoch wird nur beschwichtigt und sich entschudigt. Ebenfalls erhalte ich per E-Mail nur Beschwichtigungen. Niemand fÌhlt sich zustÀndig. LösungsvorschlÀge zur schnelleren Abwicklung werden nicht unterbreitet und meine Anfragen in diese Richtung werden abgewiegelt.
Ich werde zusehen, das mein nÀchstes Fahrrad keine Mavic LaufrÀder mehr hat. Ein solches Theater brauche ich nicht. DafÌr gibt es zu viele alternativen auf dem Markt.

I bought Mavic Cosmic Carbon Pro UST wheels in September 2019 after few months of using it freehub was completely gone. Contacted Mavic. Initiall response was quick giving me a reference number, and that was it. I've had to wait a month just to be told free hub is not under warranty. It's been my third mavic set of wheels but also the last one. If they treat customers like sh.. then I hope they will be out of business soon. I've bought rovals recently and put customer service on little test and they are way better
