I used them to pack and deliver an item bought at auction back in July 2023, it arrived damaged. It took 10 months to settle the insurance which only came through today. I’ve never had a problem with Mail Boxes before so I can only assume it’s MBE Wolverhampton that is particularly poor. If only there was a rating of less than 1 star.

Different MBE offices offer a different level of competence. In respect of sending receiving items Internationally by courier service. It is very hit and miss if the office in question knows how to provide the correct paperwork. Possibly MBE offices who know how to transport internally should have a symbol which indicates their competence.
I found it impossible to contact their CEO Mr Frances Laryea,

Paid on 5 April. Took them a week to pick up the parcel, and then a further 10 days to ship it - even then only after I had reminded them about it. Due to be delivered on Monday 21st - let’s hope it’s at least in one piece.
Poor service - I could have walked it back from Wolverhampton quicker.

I am very happy with mail boxes Etc. I left some stuff in a hotel in Barcelona. I contacted Mail Boxes and they
told me that all the stuff would be sent to me within a few days. They made sure I got my stuff back within a few days. For a reasonable price from Barcelona to the Netherlands. I didn't have to do anything except pay 33 euros in advance and they ensured that the items were picked up at the hotel where we were staying. We didn't have to worry about it. So I am satisfied with them.

Ich bin Kunstfotografin und habe mit MBE 3 meiner Limited Edition Kunstwerke (96 x 100cm, 3mm Acrylglas + 3mm Alu-Dibond Rückwand) nach Madrid zu einer Galerie versendet. Alle drei Kunstwerke sind kaputt in der Galerie angekommen. Ich hatte bei jedem Telefonat mit MBE betont, wie wichtig es mir ist, dass meine Kunstwerke "heil" ankommen!
Jetzt spricht MBE von Kulanz und Versicherung und dass, sie meine 4stelligen Produktionskosten versuchen zu erstatten. Sie beziehen sich auf den Vertrag, der von Anfang an ein "Gemurkse" war.
Mittlerweile sind meine nochmals produzierten Kunstwerke in Madrid angekommen, mit einem Profi-Kunstversand in einer stabilen Holzbox.
Das ist meine erste schlechte Bewertung, weil ich grundsätzlich nur positive Bewertungen veröffentliche. Ich habe mich darüber geärgert, wie sich der MBE-Typ am Telefon - wie eingefettet - herauswindet und die Kunstversand-Verpackung so unprofessionell war.

Utterly useless company - no way to contact them and estimating 10-15 days of delivery! I wouldnt have used if I had know this as I wanted these items for Christmas.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THESE MBE DELIVERY SERVICES _ THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY ARE BEEN THIS LONG IN DELIVERING ITEMS

Good service over many years at the Manchester branch. But they handed over admin to a head office, who are useless incompetent obstructive, and will drive away long-term customers. If you want to setup a mailbox, insist on dealing direct with the store, otherwise go elsewhere.

I just thought I'd give some positive feedback for MBE's auction collection/delivery service, not just at Wolverhampton but also across several other local UK branches. I don't know how this relates to other MBE services, not having used them, and I don't know how MBE's branch structure works (franchised?). However, this is about my fifth time dealing with various MBE branches around the UK (including Wolverhampton, Guildford and Edinburgh) for auction collection and they've all been excellent.

Excellent means, in my experience:

- very responsive to requests for estimates, within 30 minutes or less

- always familiar with every UK local auction house I've encountered, almost always with weekly collection runs

- never any problem or muddle with the potentially complicated process of authorising third-party collection by MBE with the auction house

- firm quotes which are always in line with the initial estimates, never any nasty surprises

- reasonable prices, considering the service includes collection, packing and then shipping via a respectable courier service (eg Parcelforce Express 24)

- careful packing, with never any damage to valuable purchases (rare books in my case)

The whole process is usually complete within a fortnight, from the first request for estimate through to delivery. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from the chaps in Putney. I placed an order by email last night - and the order was ready for collection this morning. Even better, the quality of the printing was excellent and exactly what I wanted.

MBE Putney - excellent experience. Sam served me and he’s a breath of fresh air after the last few years of very poor, sullen, monosyllabic and frosty service. I only use MBE for photocopying large documents.

They cancel your local branch in the middle of your year contract, and because you pay up front for a year there is no refund. So they move your box 30 miles away. And after they force you to stop using the service you paid for, then send you a renewal invoice without warning, so they can squeeze some more money from you.
Horrible service. Absolutely dreadful.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUNCH.

Fabulous service! From beginning to end highly professional, efficient and friendly! Needed something picked up from an auction house on behalf of a German colleague and it was all a bit complicated. But Wendy managed it all, was friendly and professional throughout and explained everything beautifully. A custom made box arrived, the items were secure and undamaged. Highly recommended!

Absoutely fuming! I've sent 3 packages from the OXFORD CIRCUS BRANCH, all 3 have not been received. I went to the store to speak with someone but the landlord has shut them down, so I doubt they even made it out of the building or alternatively staff we incapable to putting the correct postage on!!!!
I've out of pocket buy almost £100 and my reviews on EBAY and DEPOP are going to suffer. No one to speak to, no idea where my packages are.

I purchased a small autograph book from auction on the 9th December 2021.
I asked MBE Wolverhampton to pick it up and send it to me.
I had the invoice 2 days ago for £35 and paid it.
It Is now 1 month later and ....although I admit it was christmas and I expected a delay...1 month is a bit much and I wont be using them again.
Also, they sent my autograph book by parcel force ...
WHY ??? when they could have put it in a hard backed envelope and sent it by special delivery at a post office.
It would have been here the next day by 1pm.
The interesting thing is that a courier I phoned on the 9th December , said he wouldn't be coming to the south-west for 2 weeks so...I didn't use him for that reason and then I have had to wait for 1 month after using MBE anyway !
I wouldn't mind waiting 1 month if I was paying £10 but for £35 I expected a quicker and better service.
I DEFINATELY WONT BE USING THEM AGAIN

Wolverhampton MBE were prompt, efficient and competitively priced in collecting, packing and shipping back to me a framed & glazed watercolour I had purchased recently at auction. The wrapping was protective and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending this branch.

Kensington High Street branch. Specifically went for Greek passport pictures which are very picky and must be to a certain requirement. They said they knew the specific requirements but the pictures were denied by the Greek embassy. Had to go to competitors Snappy Snaps near Notting Hill Gate station. DO NOT USE FOR GREEK PASSPORT PICS!!!

The lady started to pack my glass items which I wanted to send..she did not tell me that the paper box costs an additional 6GBP! and she did not inform me that a little of wrapping would cost another 3GBP.
I wanted to print 1 A4 paper which costs at this place 3 GBP!
I would never recommend the services of this company.

Mailbox Nottingham provided a friendly, professional and efficient service. Would recommend and I would you again.
