SO I ORDERED A DYSON AIRWRAP THAT TURNED UP DAMAGED WITH A SPLIT CORD THAT ELECTROCUTED ME, I THEN CONTACTED MECCA WITH IMAGE PROOF, AND THEY TOLD ME TO SEND IT BACK AND WAIT 15 DAYS FOR A REFUND

HOW ON EARTH CAN THEY SEND ME A DAMAGED ITEM, THEN MAKE ME WAIT 16 DAYS AFTER SENT BACK FOR A REFUND FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NO FAULT ON MY OWN

MY DAUGHTER THEN HAD NO GIFT AND IM OUT OF POCKET WITH NO REFUND

AWFUL CUSTOMER EXPIRIENCE MAKING ME WAIT FOR YOUR OWN ISSUE AND DAMAGED GOODS, SEPHORA MUCH BETTER, DONT SHOP HERE BECAUSE IF SOMETHING IS DAMAGED THEY WONT HELP YOU WITH ANY URGENCY

Stila Stay All Day Setting Spray.
This is the worst setting spray, that I have ever purchased. It either sprays out like a hose is squirting you in the face, or nothing comes out. The outside of the lid gets soaked, like it is leaking.
I went to Mecca Burnside to complain, but they were not helpful. They said it was the way I sprayed it. Totally gaslit me.
Terrible product & terrible customer service. Waste of money.
I noticed on the Mecca reviews, there was another complaint, with the exact same issues. Avoid this product!

Over the years, I have bought a number of Terry, Misty Rock eye shadows from Mecca, Myer store in Sydney. The last two containers, the stick broke off in the container when it was not extended.

When I tried to extend the shadow for application, the broken stick fell off onto the floor. I did not complain the first time it happened but the fact that it has happened twice means the product is not of merchantable quality. This product is meant to be a premium brand and is not cheap. I paid $64.00 for a below standard product.

I contacted Terry ( in France) and was told to direct my enquiry to their supplier in Australia (Mecca) which I did. I paid cash and did not keep the receipts. I sent photos of the empty tubes and asked them to show goodwill and replace at least one product. But no, without proof of purchase they would not accede to my request. So mean, obviously the almighty dollar and profits come before customer satisfaction.

I will never shop at Mecca or purchase Terry cosmetics ever again.

Do not buy here, they are selling overpriced products and the customer support is shit! Never ever again

I’ve shopped across many makeup department stores in my 40 years. I never thought an experience in a makeup store could be as amazing and uplifting as mecca was. i went into mecca Hamilton store and was served by a girl called Sammie who immediately approached me with a smile and a greeting. The store was overwhelming for me but she made everything feel easy. I just came in for a foundation and she turned it into such a fun and uplifting experience where i truly felt cared for. I really wasn’t feeling my best when i went into mecca but after a really magical experience in their i felt such a big confidence boost.

The staff at Mecca were welcoming and guided me to the perfect foundation. It was really positive experience.

It’s a shame this company is not helpful. I received 2 shower gels completely shattered threw the mess away forgot the photo so didn’t make a fuss. Kiwis don’t you know. Next order diptique arrived with pump completely unpumpable. Asked what they wanted, mentioned previous issue and got asked for a photo. Firstly stuff was dripping all over the place soapy mess to clean up not a photo opportunity. Or video. How do I video a gel that isn’t pumping? Oh and I would hate to say how much I spend with them. Poor service at Botany today. Walked around for some time with several staff members walking past me totally ignoring me. I finally had to go to the counter and ask for assistance.

Mecca's prices have become so overpriced
I feel like in the past 2 years the prices have gotten so high from a lip stick being $30 and now $70. I have stopped shopping at mecca and will keep not going until it gets cheaper.

I was trying to buy a last-minute birthday gift for my sister and went to Mecca’s website. My card was unexpectedly declined, so I tried another one, then contacted my bank—who confirmed there was no issue on their end. I was able to make other online purchases with the same card, which made me realise the problem was with Mecca’s system.

When I called customer service, I was told I had been flagged in their system due to using multiple cards and emails and that the only solution was to wait 48 hours. That’s not exactly helpful when you’re trying to make a time-sensitive purchase. The only reason I used multiple cards was because it didn't work the first time. I asked if there was any way to verify or resolve the issue sooner, but there were no other options offered.

Really frustrating and disappointing, especially from a major retailer that has exclusive rights to certain products. I am new to the country but already dislike MECCA.

I've just lost my purse with couple of Mecca Giftcards in it. Emailed Mecca immediately and got prompt response by Hannah, Mecca Customer Care. This is truly amazing experience with Mecca that makes me loving Mecca even more!💖💖💖 You have made magical impact through your extraordinary help and assistance in this case Hannah🙏🩷🙏 which other company unable to deliver it for the same request. Mecca has really good system to track it down.

Had a disappointing experience with the online customer service team. Not a quality service, although the price range of their products is quite high. It’s a shame.

Is it because they had to work on Mother’s Day? Customers still deserve better.

I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent experience over the phone with Erin from MECCA Maxima Miranda and MECCA’s customer service in general. As a Beauty Loop Level 4 member, I’ve spent a significant amount of money with MECCA over the years and have always expected a certain standard of service in return.

All I asked was for a simple item to be put on hold so I could pick it up just a few hours later — a basic request that I’ve never had an issue with at other MECCA stores. However, it was rejected without much care or consideration. There was no flexibility, no attempt to assist or offer a reasonable alternative — just a flat "no."

As someone who has remained loyal to the brand, I find it disappointing and frankly surprising that MECCA wouldn’t accommodate such a straightforward and customer-friendly request. It makes me seriously question whether my loyalty is valued at all.

I hope MECCA reconsiders how it trains staff to support loyal customers and provide service that reflects the values it promotes.

Overpriced. Shop here if you want to carry a Mecca bag around and feel cool. Good range though and they don't try and push sales on you.

My wife bought two packs of MECCA Cosmetic Sheet Mask from MECCA Chatswood shop in Sydney on March 23, 2025. When returned home, she opened the sealed carry bag and found the Sheet Masks had already expired last month on Feb. 7, 2025. Next day she went to nearest MECCA shop in Hornsby Mall asking exchanging those expired Sheet Masks. But the MECCA shop assistant had refused to exchange and explained to my wife that the expiry date format is not America format and it needed to read as YYYY.DD.MM in which it would expire in July 2 (What’s a joke???). The shop assistant had also said that MECCA shop computer would advise staff to remove expired product from the shelf & it was not possible for MECCA to sale expired product – really?
After I heard this from my wife I immediate told her that there was only two date format used in Australia – the universal date format YYYY.MM.DD and Australia specific date format DD.MM.YYYY. There was no such YYYY.DD.MM date format existing in this world. Because expired cosmetic product is not safe to use, my wife returned to MECCA Hornsby shop asking for refund. But this time she had those expired Sheet Masks exchanged with good one (see the attached picture).
Visited two MECCA shops but both MECCA shops performed customer cheating activities. It could be assumed that all MECCA shop assistants were intentionally doing this regardless MECCA computer system warning to remove expired product. The question is simple that is this a MECCA’s systematic dirty secret & who is cashing in by resale expired product collected from garbage bin?

Service is always great at Mecca, makeup artists are skilled - only downside is they don't stock natural brands in-store so much like Ere Perez or Dr Hauschka.

I've had nothing but amazing experiences with Mecca, both in store and online, and I shop with them every month. The staff are always so lovely to talk to, and knowledgeable, and the online shopping experience has been flawless. On the one occasion there was an out of stock item, they notified me right away and sent through the refund. I have on occasion gone to buy skincare elsewhere but always end up coming back to Mecca because I trust the brand, and the staff to help if I run into any issues. Love love love

Mecca allows you to return cosmetics if the colour was wrong - and this is really great. It's so much better than Sephora!

I deposited £10 with them and decided to withdraw it because they wouldn’t verify my account, they wouldn’t give me my money back. They said I could get the funds back at first and that I needed to send a photo of my bank card, I did this and they still refused to give me my money. So now I have £10 in my online account that isn’t verified. My money has become their money just like that
