I am a visitor from Denmark and Megabus has been a very bad experience.
Delayed and with little information.
No WiFi. Charging socket not working.
No light in the toilet.
And the toilet was disgusting.
I will not use Megabus again.

Don't ever use megabus, booked a bus from Brockville to Ottawa and the bus was over an hour late. They did not email the customers to tell you the bus was going to be late you had to find out on your own.
Once I found out the bus was late by 60 minutes I had to then find another way of transportation so I could make my flight in Ottawa in time. I emailed customer service and they basically said it's not their fault the bus was late and that they don't compensate for road conditions, traffic or weather and that I basically out of luck for a refund. But if I wanted to re book with them here's a helpful link.
All they do is take your money and basically tell you to f off. This company is an absolute scam and I will NEVER use them again or recommend them.
Spend the extra money and take the train. Ride in comfort and get there on time.
Trust the reviews. Mega bus is as bad as they say.

Megabus is TRASH
Booked a day trip from London to Toronto for a Jays game.
They cancelled the bus last minute.
No refund, just an option to re book for “free”!! Next bus arrived in Toronto as the Jays games ends. No thanks!!
Whole trip ruined.
Lost bus ticket $$, Jays tickets $$, and a day off work $$ lost.

Absolutely terrible experience - bus driver shouting at clients waiting in line collecting suitcases. Later, she put our suitcases carelessly into a dirty luggage room making them very dirty and scratching/damaging also my suitcase. Driver badly dressed and behaving even worse. Totally unprofessional. Avoid and book FLIXbus. (Niagara Falls - Toronto, June 13, departure at 12:00).

DO NOT TAKE. Horrible communication and poor customer service. Incredibly disgusting to customers, prices increases every 15 or so.

Currently sitting on M8 dundee to glasgow. The bus is absolutely roasting inside, no air conditioning and when asked driver she has ignored request yet she is driving with her window wide open. It's enough to make you feel sick it's so warm. Ridiculous, awful service.

40 dollars for one extra bag? What an absolute shame. You deserve to go bankrupt. Would absolutely NOT recommend.

I arrived for my bus trip 30 minutes early and waited for 2 hours. A megabus did come but it only let people off, and before I could even ask the driver he had closed the door and left. I eventually decided to go home as my phone was about to die, and called customer service. I asked about the bus and said it never came and they told me it did come during the time I was waiting and 22 people got on. I was at the right platform, (as there is only one for megabus trips) the entire time and saw no such thing happen. I also tried to track the bus on the live tracker and it wasn’t on there at all, but the other buses at different times were. I asked customer support about this and they ignored me, and I asked for a refund and they told me it wasn’t possible for a missed bus, however I was there for 2 hours and early in the right spot, so I don’t see how I could’ve missed it. I truly think they were lying to me to save their asses and it either got cancelled or was extremely late, because there is simply no way I actually missed it. Extremely frustrated to have wasted over 60$ in the ticket and the uber ride to the station, there and back, with no actual explanation as to what happened or how I missed it. Horrible experience and absolutely no customer support whatsoever.

I have taken mega bus as student for 4 years and I got to say they probably the worst service ever. If you ever have an emergency well good luck they will not refund your ticket no matter what. There was this other instance where they over book the bus and over 50 student were left there on the spot for 5 hours until they finally decided to take action. Poor services.

Buses are old, just some of them have electric points to charge your phone. Always late, leaving passengers waiting long hours in either summer or winter.

I had at least 3 trips that the bus broke with me and the “best” solution was to wait on the road for at least 3 hours until another bus (coming all the way from Toronto - please consider I was near London). At the end they never provided any refund or compensation because they “offered a solution”. I ended up taking a cab/ride in all those cases because I had appointments.

Sometimes they used to provide vouchers or refunds, now they say “policy changed” and they basically don’t care if you need to do any change or cancellation with less then 3 hours, even if it’s not your fault.

Nevertheless, terrible quality and service.

I have generally found the buses to be fine and on time, but their website seems to be set up to make you have to call in and get charged a fee for booking over the phone.
For no reason at all, they flagged my payment method and email address so I couldn't complete the payment. They say they have a 'very strict anti-fraud policy' which may be the case, but they offer no 2FA options to confirm that the card I'm making the payment with is mine. So then they charge you a $7 fee for booking over the phone and once your card and email address has been flagged, there's no removing the security alert. So any time I want to book another megabus, I'll have to call and pay the extra fee. I just find this ridiculous.

They changed prices when we were booking there bus, convenient? Im not to sure....

I recently had an appalling experience with Megabus, and I feel obligated to warn others. On December 27th, my daughter and two other passengers were stranded at Pearson Airport Terminal 3 (C8) because the bus failed to stop at the designated location. Despite arriving over an hour early and waiting in the correct spot, the bus left from an entirely different area (C2), leaving them no chance to board.

When one passenger called customer service, they were told they had missed the bus—even though the fault clearly lay with the driver or Megabus’s operations. My daughter had to take an $82 cab to Union Station and purchase a $200 train ticket just to get back to Kingston in time for work.

The total financial loss was $363. Megabus's resolution? A redemption code for a future trip, instead of a refund. This is a slap in the face, especially when the mistake was entirely their fault. Their refusal to issue a refund, despite admitting their error, shows a complete lack of accountability and care for their customers.

If you value reliable transportation and good customer service, look elsewhere. Megabus failed to deliver on its promises and left my family stressed, frustrated, and out hundreds of dollars. I will never use their service again and strongly discourage others from doing so.

I recently took the Megabus from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, it was scheduled to depart at 11.05 and it left at 11.05 on the dot. ETA at Halbeith was 13.33 and it arrived there exactly 13.33. There were major roadworks in Dundee and on the M90 but the driver took a different route to avoid delays. I don`t know his name, he was a young guy of foreign appearance and long black hair. His driving was exceptional and one of the smoothest trips I`ve ever had by bus. His bus was clean and very comfortable and nice and warm on a very cold day. I have no reason not to give them 5 stars.

Always delayed by hours and you get no refunds. You don’t even have an estimation of when the bus is coming half the time

I booked a trip but had to change the time on one ticket. They double charged me and said prices are subject to change at any time. I see there is no place to Google or facebook review them so they must know how horrible of service they have.

Was showing 4.25hr london to birmingham and took 7hrs. very old buses, it was broken midway.

45 minutes delayed !
Just for sake of complain no change every times one problems today at 11:59 pm my scheduled journey to cardiff but the coach comes 00:45 am and i am keeping complaint except empty apology and fake excuses no improvements.
