The worst experience I have ever had with a business service company.

I submitted my visa cancellation request through EWBS Business Services on September 3rd, and today is September 29th — almost a full month later — and my visa still has not been cancelled.

I have followed up multiple times and submitted several complaints, but the handling of my case has been extremely poor. No one properly followed up or took responsibility for resolving the issue.

The staff handling my case were Gull, Richa, Jawad, and Mohasin. Unfortunately, my experience with the entire process was extremely frustrating. There was no respect for the customer’s time, and it felt like everyone was simply passing the responsibility to someone else instead of actually solving the problem.

To make matters worse, after I had already paid the required cancellation amount on September 3rd, I was asked today to pay an additional AED 250, with the explanation that the visa cancellation fees had increased.

If the cancellation had been processed when I originally paid and submitted the request, I would not be dealing with this situation now.

This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I would not recommend EWBS Business Services to anyone based on my experience.

My experience with the visa application process at Meydan Free Zone has been extremely disappointing. The process was characterized by repeated delays, inconsistent information, multiple application returns, and a lack of proper review of the submitted documents.

One of the main issues was that my application was returned several times for different reasons. Instead of reviewing the application and supporting documents comprehensively and identifying all outstanding requirements at once, issues appeared to be raised one after another. Each return resulted in additional delays, even though the required documents had already been submitted or could have been checked during the previous review.

The information provided by customer service was also inconsistent. Different representatives gave different explanations regarding the requirements, application status, and next steps. This made it extremely difficult to understand what was actually required and to complete the process efficiently.

The lack of a thorough document review was particularly frustrating. When an application is returned, I would expect all submitted documents to be checked so that any remaining issues can be communicated together, rather than repeatedly returning the application for a new reason each time.

These repeated delays had a direct impact on my travel planning and business activities. Despite following the instructions provided and submitting the requested documentation, I was unable to rely on the communicated processing timelines.

For a service as important and time-sensitive as an employment visa, customers should receive clear and consistent requirements, a comprehensive review of their application, and reliable information regarding processing times and application status.

Based on my experience, the visa application process at Meydan Free Zone requires significant improvement, particularly in application review, internal coordination, communication consistency, and processing efficiency.
The combination of inconsistent guidance, changing information, delays, and poor communication created unnecessary uncertainty and consumed considerable time and effort.

Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering setting up a company carefully research and compare different free zones and mainland options before making a decision. In hindsight, I would have preferred to pay more for a mainland trade licence in exchange for greater clarity and predictability rather than dealing with the uncertainty and inconsistent information I experienced.

Overall, my experience with Meydan Free Zone has been very disappointing, and based on this experience, I would unfortunately not recommend their services.

The portal page is old and incomplete. Not all the staff speak proper English; they do not know any of the processes and are always late in replying. Such a waste of time for every company procedure. Overcharge for all procedures.

Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend choosing another provider.

When it came to taking payment, responses were extremely fast. But once I had paid and actually needed support, getting help was incredibly difficult. I followed up around 10–15 times by phone and sent more than 30 emails, and most of the time I felt like nobody was actually taking ownership of my case.

I was also charged an additional AED 1,500 during the process, and the overall experience was extremely frustrating. I was originally told the process would be completed in around two weeks, but in reality it took more than six weeks and caused roughly three weeks of unnecessary delays for me.

The biggest issue was the lack of communication and support. I constantly had to chase for updates instead of being proactively informed about what was happening.

For something as important as setting up a company and completing your visa process, you need a provider that communicates clearly, responds when problems arise, and takes responsibility for your case.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Meydan.

I genuinely recommend doing your research and considering other options before choosing them. My experience was extremely stressful, frustrating, and far below the level of service I expected.

Kari provided me with excellent service and was a great guide throughout my entire process. She was always helpful, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend her 100%. The service was excellent, efficient, and timely.

The worst customer experience. The fastest in taking your money but slow and hesitant when it comes to solving your issues. All you get are robotic and repetitive answers, you’re being pushed from one department to another and they seem to not know what the colleagues did. You are left alone to deal with a portal that is far from user friendly!! All in all just a very frustrating and time consuming experience.

Before making the payment, they were calling constantly and responding immediately. After the payment was made, it became extremely difficult to get a response—even to emails, sometimes for more than 7 days.

Throughout the process, I was repeatedly asked to pay additional fees, including processing fees that were charged at around three times the actual price. The process was also delayed until deadlines, and then additional late fees were requested.

If Meydan Free Zone claims that any part of this review is incorrect, I can provide all the screenshots of the emails, messages, and payment requests as evidence.
