I purchased a Xiaomi rice cooker about a year ago, and unfortunately the coating on the inner lid has already started to come off.
Whatâs more disappointing is the warranty service. Xiaomi does not offer a replacement for just the inner lid, even after sharing multiple photos. Instead, they require the entire rice cooker to be sent back. And offer no guarantee that the unit will even be repaired. The collection window is also very inconvenient, anywhere between 8am and 6pm, which is difficult to accommodate.
Overall, the after-sales service feels outdated and inflexible, well below what I would expect from a modern company.

Absolutely appalling experience with GetApps on my Xiaomi phone.
I repeatedly turn off notifications, and it just turns them back on again without my consent. It even re-adds itself to my home screen like some kind of digital parasite. This isnât just annoying â it feels deliberately intrusive and disrespectful to users.
I should be able to control what notifications I receive and what appears on my own phone. Instead, this app behaves like it owns the device. No other app does this.
Itâs clearly designed to push ads and engagement at all costs, even if that means overriding user settings. Thatâs not just bad design â itâs hostile.
If I could uninstall it properly, I would. Until then, itâs a constant irritation and seriously damages the overall experience of an otherwise decent phone.
Sort it out.

Horrible customer service. They say 5hat you can return a phone but it is now almost a week and no progress with my case. They send email once a day with some quick enquiry and even if I respond immediately, they send acknowledgement next day anyway...
Wanted to buy a different model but the experience put me off.

I recently purchased the Xiaomi 17 Ultra along with accessories, spending over £1,200 in total. To be completely fair, the product itself is excellent. The phone is fast, well-built, and the camera is genuinely outstanding â the clarity and detail are among the best Iâve seen on any smartphone.
Unfortunately, the experience with Xiaomi as a company has been the complete opposite.
During the checkout process, I selected a trade-in offer which included a promotional bonus. The bonus â not the small trade-in value â was a key reason I chose Xiaomi over waiting for a competing device.
After the purchase, I received no follow-up regarding the trade-in. When I contacted Xiaomi, I was repeatedly told there was âno recordâ of it.
What followed was not a resolution process â it was a loop:
Repeated template-style responses
Different agents replying each time
No ownership of the issue
Requests for a phone call completely ignored
At no point did anyone step back and consider that something may have gone wrong in the checkout process. Instead, everything was based purely on âwhat the system shows,â with no flexibility or willingness to apply basic customer care.
For clarity â I have no reason to make this up. The promotional bonus could only be spent with Xiaomi, and I had every intention of using it to purchase additional products.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that this could have been resolved very easily with a small amount of discretion or goodwill â especially given the value of the order and the fact I am otherwise very happy with the product.
Instead, the experience has been impersonal, rigid, and dismissive.
I run a technology business and regularly recommend products to clients. While the Xiaomi hardware is genuinely impressive, this experience means I would seriously hesitate before recommending them again.
In summary:
Outstanding phone and camera
Poor, inflexible customer service
No ownership, no escalation, and no real attempt to resolve a simple issue
A great product let down by how the customer is treated after purchase.

Bought the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G Frost Blue 12GB RAM 512GB in October 2025. Everything fine till 2 weeks ago when any sim cards would not work in it. Sent it to the repair centre and they are saying there is water damage so not honouring the warranty. This is an IP68 phone meaning it can handle continuous immersion in water beyond 1 metre. I have never dropped this phone in any liquids so I'm not sure how water can get in. The sim tray has been opened once, the day the phoned arrived. I have escalated this to a manager and await their response. In the meantime I have requested a charge back from my credit card cause this is the 2nd time they have refused repair, and if you read the forums, this is what this company do. I will never buy from them again.
Edit 25/03/26
Xiaomi did contact me after leaving this review pleading I remove this review. They still won't fix it under warranty due to water damage even though it is IP68 CERTIFIED. Fortunately I bought the phone using a credit card and was able to claim the full refund through a section 75 from my credit card company. The credit company will be getting the money back off them. I advise everyone to do the same. Never buy from them again. Companies like them still bring out the negative connotations of made in China.

I placed an order on 1 March for the Mijia Tool Kit and the Xiaomi Tag 4 Pack. Their policy states delivery within 7 days. On Sunday, 8 March, the deadline passed, and Xiaomi did not communicate with me. On Monday, 9 March, I called to find out what was happening. They emailed me to say they oversold the Tag 4 Pack, and the next batch ships on 31 March. The item is still showing as in stock on the Xiaomi UK website as of 10 March.
I also used a birthday coupon on this order. That coupon has now expired. If I cancel, I lose £10.50 permanently because they sold stock they did not have.
I contacted support twice. First Mia, then Raj - both names I now see all over these reviews. I received the same template answer from both: wait or get a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They ignored that. I have been a Xiaomi customer for ten years, and this is how it ends.

Update: The delivery was delayed for two weeks due to overselling and the customer service offered nothing, but waiting. It still arrived later, but the customer service was quite disappointing.

Iâm extremely disappointed with my experience with the Elite scooter I purchased directly from Xiaomi. After only a few months of normal use, the scooter developed what the repair centre called âwater damage.â This is clearly a manufacturing or sealing fault, yet Xiaomi refused to repair it under warranty.
To make things worse, I was quoted £330 for a repair, even though a brandânew scooter costs around £260. How does it make sense to charge more for a repair than the cost of a new product?
What makes this even more frustrating is that I previously owned another Xiaomi scooter and used it for over 2,000 miles with zero issues. So I know how these scooters should perform when built properly.
Customer service has been incredibly unhelpful. I bought directly from Xiaomi expecting proper warranty support, but the moment something goes wrong, they void the warranty and push you toward an overpriced repair. This kind of practice only creates unnecessary electronic waste and shows a complete lack of responsibility toward customers and the environment.
I will never buy from Xiaomi again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting their âbuy direct for protectionâ promises. In my experience, those promises mean nothing once you actually need support.

I just wanted to buy the Xiaomi 7 Pro from their website. I was very excited until I reached the payment stage.
The initial price was £1,299, and they offered a £100 coupon for new users, bringing the price down to £1,199, which seemed great.
However, when I proceeded to PayPal to apply for instalments over 24 months, the payment came to £49.99 per month, making the total repayment £1,529.
I cancelled the purchase as it didnât seem worth it. The offer felt very misleading, and I no longer wish to proceed with buying the product.

Bathroom scales allegedly delivered, though the photo shows an unmarked box on a driveway with no proof at all the package is mine or even from Xiaomi.
Now when I'm trying to get a refund or replacement, they ask me to send them an invoice.... But they don't send invoices to customers!
Just avoid buying direct from them.

Ordered fridge freezer but tried deliveries 2 times, first the delivery men can't remove my old fridge freezer, as I told them they need to take off the old fridge freezer door to be able to take it out as to what it was done when I first bought it in the house, so the delivery driver said they can't do that as it wasn't in the order to remove the door so cancel the delivery then Xiaomi and delivery company called me explaining what happened then they made another delivery schedule then next delivery date schedule, and same thing happened again so with that I get frustrated so I just cancel the order completely on Feb 14. Called Xiaomi customer service, they said they will cancel the order and return the payment until now Feb 27 no refund made yet again called today customer service regarding this , no clear answer saying again they will process the refund...

I want my refund as soon as possible. This issue has already taken far too long to resolve.
Very poor experience with Xiaomi UK customer service.
Order number: 5260208517681744Order date: 08/02/2026
On Sun, 8 Feb 2026, I emailed Xiaomi first to request that the delivery be sent to my current address. After checking my account again, I realised the address saved in my account was actually my old address, so I immediately contacted customer service.
I then called their support line (0800 021 1888) on 09/02/2026 at 10:06. The staff member told me clearly that he would cancel the order, cancel the deliveries, and arrange a refund.
However, this was not handled properly.
My order had two items delivered by different delivery companies:
-The rice cooker delivery was cancelled correctly. It was returned to their warehouse and I received the refund.
-The sunglasses delivery was not cancelled by their staff and was still sent out to my old address, where I no longer live. I never received this item.
Now, despite their staff promising to cancel the order and refund me, they still have not refunded the sunglasses. Instead, they keep sending the same repeated email telling me to report a crime to the police and provide a crime reference number before they will escalate the issue.
This is extremely frustrating and makes no sense.
I do not know what crime they expect me to report:
-No one stole my parcel.
-I already told them I do not live at the old address.
-This happened because their staff failed to cancel the delivery properly after promising they would.
This is clearly an order handling mistake, not a crime. Asking a customer to file a police report for something that is not a crime is unreasonable and frankly ridiculous.
This issue has already been ongoing for over two weeks, and I am still waiting for my refund for the sunglasses that I never received.
Overall experience:
-Staff promised to cancel the order and refund
-Cancellation was not done properly
-Item delivered to an old address after I contacted them
-Refund still not processed
-Customer service keeps sending copy-paste replies
-Asking customers to report a crime that does not exist.
Very disappointing support experience. I hope Xiaomi reviews this case seriously and resolves my refund!

What I can say is that the support from Xiaomi is virtually zero. At the same time they are half the price of Samsung so you take your chances and pay less money. However they are equivalent of Samsung in China.
I will warn you that the artificial intelligence or algorithm really not IAI is set in a certain way that the cleaning software that looks for duplicate files ends up deleting your own data without your permission so I would recommend using a new phone or a workaround but don't stick with this particular model unless you are happy for your data to be destroyed randomly without your permission.
The Poco F7 Ultraâs AI is so incredibly helpful that it decided 90% of my private files were simply âclutterâ I didn't need anymore. Itâs like having a digital butler who cleans your house by throwing your furniture out the window because it didn't match the rug."

Store is in general ok.
Shame customer support is awful for example:
I requested over 2 years ago improvement to website to see hierarchy/comparison of models to give customers option to choose the best device.
It seems nothing was improved.
2nd issue : I have bought 14 Ultra 2 years ago and I had issue with fogging camera unit and slowing down /unresponsiveness, hot device.
Phone was top shelf and priced with "premium" support promised -but support was rubbish.
They did not even offered replacement or coupon for a new device.
Due to lack of support I afraid to buy another high end phone from them!
Only plus for them is trade in offer.
Thats all.
I consider Honor or Oppo Instead.
No Samsung-due to bad experience with warranty repair(service tried set direct debits from Germany)
