Mitchell & Dickinson レビュー

On behalf of K. Leithead - I had several windows repaired and one large window replaced. Tim and his team were very professional and did a great job. The windows look excellent and I am delighted with the results. The team cleared up every day and it was a pleasure to have them in the house. I would be happy to recommend them to others.

We had a complete rebuild of a very complicated arched sash about 10 ft high. The work done was of the highest quality, and the fitters, Keith and Dave were a delight to have around. The care they took was great and we are very happy with the result. Highly recommended.

I live in a converted church and wanted two windows, including a very large (12 ft hight) stained glass window fitted with secondary glazing. Paul,Keith and the whole team have done a superb job, using quality materials, which have enhanced the beauty of the windows while making my home warmer.

I had 9 windows secondary glazed in 2 phases - some sash; some stone mullion. I am delighted with the results and the restoration and glazing work was all done to a very high standard. Tony who was the project manager both times was excellent, both in terms of the care and quality of his work and his responsiveness to my wishes and concerns. I couldn’t speak more highly of it all.

I am delighted with the renovation of casement windows in my listed building home. The wooden frames have been meticulously restored and refitted with Fineo vacuum glass. The procedure from start to finish was professional and the skilled craftsmen Harry and Leo were brilliant. I noticed the difference immediately all draughts banished and more warmth. I would highly recommend Mitchell & Dickinson well with worth the investment.

I couldn't be more happy with the work Mitchell & Dickinson recently carried out on my windows. The communication, quality of workmanship, finish and attention to detail has been excellent, i'm so pleased with the finished product. From my original enquiry through to completion on site their service has been exceptional and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Mitchell & Dickinson recently installed secondary glazing and insulation on our casement windows and fitted insulation around some doors and a loft hatch and, in preparation, restored these where they were rotten or misshapen. The work was carried out to an extremely high standard by their staff, John, Ed and Billy, who were a pleasure to have about. Restored parts were redecorated to a very high standard, matching colours well and ensuring that coverage was continuous. We will have to wait for winter to see how well the secondary glazing etc actually works but it seems robust and tight-fitting, so we are hopeful of significant improvement.

When you're considering a window renovation project, there are lots of things to consider - particularly if you have a listed property. We could have gone for a cheaper company but sometimes, when you need something to be done really well, you just have to bite the bullet and go for the best. And these guys are the best. From early discussions with HQ, through surveys, preparation, the fitting to completion, the whole process was excellent. Talented experienced craftsmen with forensic attention to detail. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

I am delighted with my restored sash windows in the main bedroom of our Georgian house. Miles and Nick did an amazing job in the extreme heat of the past few weeks. They were always so courteous, professional and tidied up brilliantly afterwards, I was very happy just leaving them to get on with it whilst I was away.

Amazingly helpful, responsive and knowledgeable - Natasha Boyle and company surveyor John were great

We had secondary double glazing added to several windows in a grade 2 listed building. The two fitters, Liam and Tim, were highly professional, quiet and friendly. The project took 5 days in total and they always left the working area clean and tidy while preparing the windows. The windows look great and we will be keen to see the impact on the house in the winter.

This was the third project they have done in our Victorian house and as always the workman ship and knowledge was faultless and everything was done to a really high standard. All their kit was stored so tidily and before they left the place was left spotless! All the men who did the job were fantastic.special mention to Luke who was here from Day 1 and was lovely to talk to and gave us complete confidence in the work being done. Thank you Mitchell and Dickinson!

We employed Mitchell and Dickinson to restore our sash windows and install Cosy Glazing in the bedrooms.
Luke and Zac did an outstanding job. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable and clearly took pride in their work. The attention to detail was exceptional.
Luke and Zac were punctual, tidy and always happy to explain the process along the way. The difference in both appearance and functionality is incredible. The windows now open and close smoothly, look fantastic, and have completely transformed the heat and sound in our home.
A special mention to Natasha and Lora who managed the project from the office and ensured everything ran smoothly. Communication throughout was excellent and both were always helpful, organised and responsive.
We couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend Mitchell and Dickinson to anyone looking for skilled and reliable sash window restoration. Truly a 5 star service.

Just totally impressed with Mitchell and Dickinson. The quality of the work, craftsmanship care and attention to detail were/are all 10 out of 10. Then equally impressive were Harry with his team of Leo, Jo and Ethan - such nice people who genuinely cared about their work - We actually miss having them ruck up at 8am every morning! I'd have no hesitation whatsoever recommending M&D if you have a listed or period property that needs insulated - these are the go to people.

Victorian Townhouse Sash windows - secondary glazing.

After a rocky start with being bumped along for another project, Adam and Chris arrived three months later and were fantastic and the care and workmanship to the windows were spot on. I could not have asked for such an amazing team; and if I were to have more work done, I would not allow anyone else!

(with hindsight January possibly wasnt a good start date as it was freezing).

The secondary glazing allows the windows to retain their features; it is instantly warmer and it provides a cosy buffer to the outside noise.

Only days before the finish date, I received a notification about UV glazing, which would have been perfect for my house as it is south facing and the majority of the windows are there. If M&D know they were launching this product, it would have been great to be aware of it as an option.

Nevertheless, The new replacement Hertiage glass is fabulous - replacing the broken ones.

The actual survey could have been more thorough - ie checking for wood rot etc... so that the end bill, which I am yet tot receive will not burn the wallet.

It is an expensive product, as there are other viable options out there; but for us it is more economical than replacing with new sets of timber windows of double glazing; and we needed to keep the appearance due to the conversation area we are in.

I am sure that as time and technology move on, there will be much opportunity to provide products for Old houses that will outmatch the full cost of total replacement.

Great service, and great product.

Thank you Adam and Chris!

We were very pleased indeed with the work to restore the sash windows in our Georgian house and to remove draughts and add secondary glazing for insulation. The expert craftsmen, led by Dominic, showed such care and sensitivity to the history of our house. The secondary glazing is indeed very unobtrusive, and we were so pleased we took this option to improve insulation. I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations.

Well organised. Staff working at the house very professional and completely trustworthy. The work by the nature of what is being carried out, is invasive to normal routine and use of the house. Staff worked to keep this to a minimum. The windows now are virtually draught proof and noise from outside is greatly diminished. We are very pleased with the work and attention to detail. We would highly recommend this company and especially the staff working in the house.
Those working “at the coal face” deserve praise indeed.

Overall a good service from start to finish. The Admin Team regularly kept us informed of the progress of our order. The craftsmen that undertook the refurbishment works on site were quick, thorough and clean & tidy.

M&D installed secondary glazing on grade 1 listed leaded windows. The installation needed to be removable without damaging the original fabric and as invisible as possible. The end result exceeded my expectations. Our rooms are easier to keep warm and the glazing is barely visible.

My husband and I commissioned Mitchell & Dickinson to install CozyGlazing in the front and side windows of our 1920s house as we did not want to compromise the beautiful original stained glass and leaded light windows (including a circular stained glass window in our front door) but needed to do something about the freezing cold temperatures in the front (north facing) of our house in the winter. We had quotes from other secondary glazing companies, who were only able to offer very inflexible and less than pretty options to solve the problem. Mitchell & Dickinson refurbished and draught-proofed our windows, before installing CozyGlazing.
The wonderful Dom was just amazing - a real craftsman with a genuine desire to make sure that the finished result was as good as it possibly could be. He was always helpful and considerate - disrupting our lives as little as possible (we had additional challenges in that the work was being done in January while we had temperatures well below zero and our central heating broke down during the process, so not the best time to be having windows removed to repair and draught-proof them!). In short, he was a pleasure to have around and made the whole process as easy as it possibly could have been.
Now that the work is complete, we are delighted with the result. The front rooms of our house are notably warmer and the severe condensation that we used to see every morning on cold days has decreased markedly. What's more, the CozyGlazing is very discreet, invisible from the outside and almost unnoticable on the inside.
Our only negative about the whole experience, was (as others have said) the length of time between paying the deposit and work actually starting and the rather confused communication between ourselves and head office when trying to get the final quotation for the work.
But all in all, we are absolutely delighted with the end result and will definitely recommend the company to others.
