Even 1 star is to much! SCAM

This company charge 0.5 € for a test convert and next day automatically charge 39.95 € without any notification by email.

I tried to convert an image into a eps vector, the result was ver bad, not usefull and I didn't use it.

Next day I received a notification of charge of 39.95 € from my bank.

Form modify.app no emails, I HAVE RECEIVED A BLANK EMAIL WITH SUBJECT "Welcome to modify.app" FROM YOU, WITHOUT ANY CONTENT AND NO MORE EMAIL, EVEN FOR THAT PAYMENT DONE OF 0.50 EUROS

YOU HAVE TO NOTIFY VIA EMAIL FOR EVERYTHING FROM YOUR ACCOUNT, EVEN FOR REGISTER, PURCHASE, TRIAL, NEXT CHARGE, ECT.

They're scammers. They offer a one-time fee for the conversien 0.50 euro.
However, the next day, I discovered a €49.95 charge for a subscription I never authorized.
There is no option to unsubscribe or manage my account, and I hadn't created an account in the first place.

I had to contact my bank and cancel my card.

Scam, they really charge €40 not 50cent. Don't be fooled.

Like everyone else I was scammed, conditions not clear, swaps to a foreign language to hide T&Cs, no info re subscription no ability to cancel

The have no return policy and their on line customer service sucks. What a waste of $$$

Like so many others here, Paid the trial price. However It was unable to convert the files I needed doing. So I un-installed the software, thinking that would be it.!! Only to be charged a further £19.99 the day after.

Nowhere to unsubscribe that I could find, Not sure what good it will do, but I have emailed them requesting a full refund.

I tried to convert a large video file to a .mov; the site said it was free. When it was allegedly completed (I never received the file), they asked for 69 cents charge. I entered my credit card info. It then started asking for tons of personal information and also changed languages. I called my bank and this company had set up a larger recurring fee, which was never authorized. Luckily, the bank could stop the recurrence. They had me calendar when to start checking to make sure the company does not try again. I never received the work it claimed to have done.

Unwanted subscription, if it's not a scam, it's near.

Beware of this app. I thought it was value for money to convert files cheaply. At first it worked. Then I got a charge of over £17 and thought that expensive for conversion files. Then few weeks later- couldn’t log in and no password recovery provided. Then another £16.80 charge for nothing. DO NOT USE THIS!!

SCAM... DO NOT USE I thought it was reasonable to pay 40p for the service for converting a audio book into a MP3 but then they secretly sign you up for £15
If you get caught - make sure you cancel your trial

They steal money. Took 50p for the conversion, then charged me £16.80 I didn’t agree to.

MNI Modify app has done the same thing to me. I've not subscribed to anything and did pay the £.59 pence for converting a picture which didn't work so I left the site only to find the next say they charged me £16.95. Which I never agreed to.
I do need my money back from them

Tried to convert a file and paid €0.59 which did not work, therefore I left the site not intending to use it again only to be charged €19.95 a day later for a subscription I had no idea about.

When contacted about this they gave a half arssed response detailing that when purchasing the €0.59 "24 hour trial" the terms are shown there which a good part of the purchase page was in a different language to the English on the rest of the page which is probably where this was wrote.

Absolutely shameful business practices relying on hiding subscriptions in their hard to find and understand terms and conditions that not many people will be able to search for, know to search for and expect to search for. Scammers

Scam avoid like the plague

SCAMMERS!!!!! took my money 40 euros, I almost cried because of anger, i randomly entered the site for pdf file edit or something, it even did not work, 50 cents was gone and then Damn, my 40 euros gone as well!
now i know I m not only one here, do not enter the site!

I used the product during a trial period and was charged €0.50. There were no warnings or notifications about any upcoming charges. Then, 24 hours later, without any email or notice, I was charged €39.50.

What’s worse, the website clearly states that after the 24-hour trial, the product will automatically renew to a monthly plan costing €19.95.

I contacted their so-called “support” team, and they claimed the website lists the monthly price as €39.50 (and not €19.95) , and that I was notified during the trial sign-up that I would be automatically charged that amount. This is a complete lie. They, of course, changed their website and updated the price to €39.50 after my dispute, thinking they were clever, but I already have all the screenshots with dates.

I’ve submitted a formal dispute with my bank, highlighting their misleading practices. I will do everything in my power to ensure this fraudulent business is held accountable and that others are not scammed the same way.

Modify.app is extremely misleading. It looks like you’re paying a small, one-off fee for a file conversion — but buried fine print and hidden terms mean you’re actually signing up for a subscription, with a much larger charge hitting your account the next day.

The "welcome" email explaining this was completely blank and went to spam, and the file I paid to convert didn’t even work. No proper warning, no successful service, no refund.

Avoid this company unless you enjoy surprise charges and poor communication.

SCAM! They charged me £18 without my consent and set up a subscription I had to ring my bank to block any transactions coming from them. And now waiting for a response to get my money back form them!

I had to call my bank to block charges....they scammed me and have been taking out money for months. Only caught it now.

Scammers!!!!!! Offer 50 cent one time use and no mention of it being a subscription the “subscription” doesn’t even appear on Apple account because it is never agreed to!
