I ordered a pair of boots they sent me a fake boot

When I ordered the dress that I wanted, it took over two weeks for it to get shipped. When it had arrived it looked absolutely nothing like the image on their website. I have returned the dress and had to dispute the transaction with my bank because they wouldn’t refund me my money. I have been emailing them non-stop but they are ignoring my emails. I am still currently waiting for a response to receive my refund and i returned my item last year november. Absolutely would not recommend this company!

I ordered some boots that were described as leather boots. But when they arrived they were made of PVC. I asked for a postage paid refund but was told to return the boots at my cost to an address in China ! Was offered discount as an alternative which was also not acceptable. I reported this to my credit card company. Luckily after a bit of tooing and froing with the vendor, the credit card company has refunded the payment. This company is a scam selling products that are not as described on their website. Just totally stay away from it.

Do not use this company.
The quality of their products and customer service is utterly appalling. Cheap Chinese imports you can’t return.
When I raised a dispute with my bank they sent false photos of our communication. Complete fraudsters do not use.

Ordered some boots for my wife. Were almost hilariously bad - completely different to pictures and descriptions. Extremely thin plastic not leather.
Wouldn't refund.
Managed to get a partial refund after about 10 email exchanges.
It's basically a Chinese scam site. I should have checked the reviews first.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Montford and Co.
The boots I received were extremely low quality and badly made. The stitching was uneven, the material felt cheap, and the overall finish was nowhere near the standard advertised on their website. In reality, the boots are nothing like the premium product they claim to sell.
What made things worse was the shocking customer service. Although I eventually received a partial refund, there was no sense of accountability or genuine effort to put things right.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing. Based on my experience, the product quality and customer service simply do not justify the price.

This is my 3rd review of this dreadful company who miss sell items. The boots I ordered as being Leather are actually very smelly PU leather, sizes are not UK equivalent. It is robot called Oliva that does NOT offer customer support.
Refunds are impossible. A 'free' item is offered but still the sizing is small and the zip too tight to pull up.
I now have 2 pairs of useless boots that I would not pay £5.00 for ( inflated original price of over £100 and 'sale' price over £50.00). It will cost me £50.00 or more to return them.

I have now had an email asking for reviews. I have explained my reasons again but I doubt a human reads them.
Dishonest. Annoying. Frustrating. Difficult and absolutely no Customer support or care.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CHINESE COMPANY.

I very rarely write reviews, however I'm strongly motivated write one here for the following reasons:
Ordered a pair of shoes online, if I remember correctly I think they took at least two weeks to come which was a bit disappointing. When they arrived, they seemed okay, however I'd ordered a UK7 size, they had a label in them of 40, which as you probably know is a European measurement. My research suggested that this in a man would normally be about a 6 1/2 UK. Sure enough the shoes were certainly too small for me. I contacted the company by email straight away, they sent me a size scale which suggested that 40 is equivalent to a UK size 7 and would not budge from that assertion, they proceeded to say that if I wanted to send the shoes back I would have to send them to an address that they supplied in China!! or they would give me a discount on the shoes. The cost to send them to China my research told me would be somewhere in the region of £30-£50, more than the shoes cost! They suggested that I read the returns policy (which I think very few people do), so I did, my recollection is that although it said that the shoes would have to be returned to them it didn't specify an address.
So what I would take from all of this is that if you don't like the shoes that you order or they don't fit correctly, you will either have to send them back to China (not really a financial option) or you will be stuck with them! So there we have it!
Also, I've noticed that the company reply in a very generic way to negative reviews here and suggest that they are going to look into the situation. My guess is that they probably don't. If they do with me I will definitely add another review in due course so it might be worth you looking for that to see whether they are true to their word and really want to keep customers happy!

Iteans are cheap looking fakes, do not order from this company, they do not respond back to e-mails, I tried phoning their customer service number to only get a voice message in Dutch then get cut off, I checked their refunds policy and you have to post your returns back to china do not waste your time or money on this site the items are far from what is advertised

SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT USE!!!

Ordered 2 pairs of 'leather' boots, advertised as real leather and priced at £67.95 each. What turned up was cheap and nasty, chemical smelling plastic boots, not worth half that price! I immediately checked the online listing and showed a family member and it indeed was listed as real leather. I then went to contact the company and found that the item description seems to have since been edited to no longer describe these boots as leather, which means false advertisement.

Upon further inspection of the boots I found that the upper shoe had come unstuck from the sole at the front with glue visible around most of the seems and poor stitching all around. The boots were of such poor quality and ill packaged (arriving in just a bag, no box) that the back of the boots were all crumpled and mishapen too. Add to this the time taken to arrive, over 2 weeks, it's clear that they have come from outside of europe, with the company registered at a residential home in the Netherlands!

After receiving the boots, I had an email from 'Olivia' from the customer support email asking if everything is ok with my order and to reach out with any issues. I replied twice to this email requesting a refund with photographic evidence of the issues. This was on 24th Feb 2026 but I have STILL received NO REPLY! I have since tried to send a separate emails using the same contact email advised on the website, which will not send through.

Complete scam of a company that do not seem to understand or follow consumer laws when selling in the UK. This will be escalated further, but I wanted to warn anybody who is considering using this company, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

UPDATE: After receiving a response from the company here, no resolution has been found and no follow-up to my request of a full refund has been made, despite me providing photographic evidence of damage and a poor quality product.

Why has this website not been taken down yet?! Ordered 8 pairs of boots - paid over £300! The ones on the website showed beautiful branding quality looking leather, nice hardware. When they arrived not one pair was the right colour - dark purple turned up blue etc. the beautiful metal monogrammed branding wasn't there - there was a nasty embossed leather patch nothing to do with the brand, rough cuts on all the leather, you wouldn't want to wear them!

Modern fit with thick fabric that looks great worn.

I can honestly say I ordered 2 pairs of boots from montford co yesterday then discovered my husband had already ordered me boots from somewhere else.
I got in touch with customer support asked to cancel my order explaining why and 2 hours later l received an email telling me my order was cancelled and a refund would be processed.
I have just had a notification from my bank telling me my refund is in my account.
So overall very good experience.

Boots ordered look nothing like the picture. Very cheap looking and sizing all wrong terrible flimsy materials.

The ordering implies they are in Europe and offer 30days return.

They are in China so to return is at your expense and probably won't get back there in the 30days so then you will get nothing!

Costly mistake on my part. Never again!! Avoid!!!

Terrible company, based in China and took 3 weeks to arrive. I ordered a pair of shoes which didn't match the image on the website and I could visibly see the glue coming from the plastic sole. Definitely avoid and the return isn't easy and costs to return it back to China are all on you.
The update emails I got throughout the 3 week wait appeared to be very AI with so many emojis in the emails. This company needs to be avoided.
