The part that was put back on has fell


The part that was put back on has fell of again. The man that you sent to put it back on didn’t have a clue were it went when he went out to his van I got down on the floor and saw two screws were it must slot into when he came back in I told him there was two screws he had a look and said looks like it will go there he said he put it back on but it’s fell back of so not a very good job.

I've had 2 MONTPELLIER Washing Machines


I've had 2 MONTPELLIER Washing Machines in 3 years, absolutely appalling brand. I'm disabled on low income and has set me back nearly £500 or more now. I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone not unless you're happy wasting money on GARBAGE MACHINES!!! I've had nothing but problems stemming from the ECU and also the concrete block inside has started to crumble ruining my clothes in the process. The MONTPELLIER SO CALLED HELPINE are a bunch of USELESS MORONS ASWELL...They tried to say it's my fault lol How ?? Its only me that uses the machine and it's NEVER OVERLOADED EITHER. For people on Low Income or Disabled like myself STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS USELESS BRAND ASWELL AS THE COMPANY. HELPLINE,WHAT A JOKE!!!

Worst appliance I have ever bought

I am extremely disappointed with this Montpellier gas oven. I’ve only had it for four months, and it has already developed multiple serious faults.

Firstly, the grill does not work properly. The gas comes through and it lights, but as soon as you release the switch, the flame goes out—making it completely unusable.

Secondly, the oven itself does not maintain heat. Cooking takes significantly longer than it should, and I consistently have to add anywhere from 10 to 40 extra minutes just to get food properly cooked. This is both inconvenient and unacceptable for a relatively new appliance.

On top of that, the inner double-glass panel on the grill door has come loose from its hinges and fallen off, which raises serious concerns about build quality and safety.

I purchased this oven from Currys and have raised the issue with them, but I’ve now been directed to contact Montpellier directly. I have yet to do so, but regardless of the outcome, this has already been the worst appliance I have ever bought.

It has not even lasted four months without multiple failures. I would strongly advise others to avoid this product.

As a footnote. I’ve just cooked some cod fillets which should have cooked in 15 mins. Took 40 mins. Then a new fault. Gas oven was switched off, however, oven light will not extinguish. It is so much worse than the 18 year old oven I wanted replaced.

Badly made products

Badly made products. Our washing machine touch screen never worked properly from the start. A year in it developed a door sensor issue. Had this fixed under warranty and then a year later developed the same fault. Touch screen was never fixed! I wouldn’t buy from this company again, there’s a reason the products are cheap
 false economy.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I have requested information regarding your previous repair with our repair agents. The reported fault originally was that the appliance was showing E01 error code, which indicates a door lock issue. An engineer was despatched who replaced lock and the appliance was tested and working to specification. Unfortunately, there was no mention at the time of any issue with the touch screen.

AVOID!! Shoddy products and after sales care is seriously lacking!

I am having ongoing issues with my washing machine, which is still within its two-year warranty period.

The machine initially broke several weeks ago. After reporting the fault, a technician attended approximately one week later but arrived without the necessary parts. A further delay then occurred as the replacement parts supplied were damaged due to improper packaging and handling, resulting in another week without a repair. By the third week, the technician finally returned with usable parts and completed the repair.

The machine has now worked for only around two weeks, and the exact same fault has occurred again - it will not spin.

As a result of this failure, it is currently Friday evening and I am left with a full load of soaking wet washing sitting in my bath, with no means to complete the cycle. Previously, we were without a working washing machine for three weeks, which was extremely disruptive.

Throughout this process, I have received no meaningful apology, no compensation, and no reassurance that this product is of an acceptable standard. My concerns that the appliance is clearly unreliable and not fit for purpose have been ignored.

Very disappointing product and customer services.

I have a built-in Montpellier fridge freezer that is under two years old and therefore still within its two-year warranty. Unfortunately, the fridge section has stopped cooling while the freezer continues to work.

I contacted Montpellier customer services, but they refused to help because I had recently moved into the property and was not the original purchaser, despite the appliance being installed in the home and still within the warranty period.

At my own expense, I arranged for an independent service engineer to inspect the appliance. I was informed that the failure was caused by a coolant leak, most likely due to a manufacturing defect, and that there are no serviceable parts to repair this fault.

Despite this, Montpellier customer services declined to assist with either a repair or replacement of a product that has clearly failed prematurely within the warranty period. I am extremely disappointed both with the reliability of the appliance and with the unhelpful and inflexible attitude of Montpellier’s customer service.

I would not recommend Montpellier based on this experience

Good Morning, Many thanks for your review. Unfortunately, the manufactures guarantee is non-transferable from customer to customer. If the appliance has been used by another customer previously and is sold as part of a house sale, then the new owner of the appliance will not get the benefit from the remaining guarantee, as the proof of purchase held will be in the name of the person who purchased the appliance originally.

We are sorry to hear that the appliance has failed within the guarantee period and the engineer who attended advised the appliance couldn't be repaired due to coolant leak. If this fault had been attributed to a manufacturing defect, it would have occurred within the first month of use. Leaks can occur due to many reasons not all of which are a fault with the appliance itself.

I do regret to inform you that we are unable to assist you further at this time with your enquiry.

Repeated faults

Repeated faults. Faulted fan, repeated blown elements. I believe these products to be substandard and designed to fail just outside of gaurentee. Top oven is just a grill. Not worth the money paid life expectancy 2.5 years.Customer service are abysmal,to the point of suggesting it was the way i was using the appliance. Overall dangerously poor product from a morally corrupt company.

Upon further inspection the element part that was replaced was replaced by a part that is NOT compatible hence why it has failed following engineers visits. Reply on this review is a joke. Montpellier can not edit my experience i will share to warn other consumers. I find it petty to even nit pick over how I found grill/oven i have actually used with manufacturers retoric. Abysmal customer service follows you clearly.

As discussed in our previous email correspondence regarding the issues with your cooker, we can confirm that one fault occurred within the guarantee period. An engineer attended and replaced the fan oven element at that time. Unfortunately, the element has since failed again; however, as the appliance is now outside of the guarantee period, we are unable to offer a further repair.

We would also like to clarify that your appliance includes a top oven with an integrated grill, which can be used either as an oven or for grilling.

8 months in and still fighting for


8 months in and still fighting for guarantee to be honoured! They agreed to replace the product(built in microwave) 6weeks ago and they still haven’t organised it! Lots of excuses and apologies but no professional action or genuine concern regarding customer care. They tried “fixing it” but each engineer that attempted to do this failed and ended up doing more damage to the product.

I would not recommend

I would not recommend, we purchased a washing machine approx 5 years ago and it broke just after warranty, crazy but was cheaper to buy another so we did just that in Oct 2023. It's out of their x2 year warranty, just called customer service and they won't even discuss sending an engineer to take a look and not even if I pay! May just be a broken belt! Terrible customer service and could not even give me a list of independent engineers, try trust a trader was the reply!

Beautiful cream

Montpellier Undercounter Retro Fridge Freezer MAB2035E

Beautiful cream, under counter fridge freezer, I collected mine, myself from Borshch, brand new, no dents. I just didnt trust online delivery elsewhere, without damage having read so many reviews where people were upset, but liked the design of the product.

This fridge freezer for my home has been the best investment I have made to date, to replace a 10 year Russell Hobbs refrigerator that stopped working. The refrigerator is very light and can be moved by yourself, the handles are not stainless steel, plastic sprayed with that finish. I got the shop to put mine on, added bonus so my door handles don't fall off.

However if the refrigerator is not properly wrapped in bubble wrap at corners and around the product, expect damage as it is made with what looks to be a softer hard plastic material. I can honestly see why so many were damaged during transit from online orders with delivery. I was just fortunate to see the condition in person and collect on the next day myself.

The Freezer section holds loads more than I was expecting, it is like a little deep tardis, very roomy and the fridge too. I added my own led light in the freezer part costing a couple of quid, just common sense, I did not get the reviews that complained after purchase, read the spec and description properly. The refrigerator It is tall, deep, but narrow. For me heighr wise it just fit under my kitchen top counter and is perfect for my small space. Very pleased. A*

Just hoping it lasts longer than 2 years, as I don't have money to throw around as I read a couple of reviews saying after 2 years their fridge freezer went, but they didn't state whether it was undercounter or not. Hoping not the case. Will extend warranty with Borshch anyway, just in case.

If you order online, be prepared for potential damage on arrival. My best advice, go somewhere you can purchase in person and at least ask for it to be wrapped with extra bubble wrap in the box. Borshch took mine out of the box, I was able to inspect it, and saw it wrapped in front of me on the day of collection. They were brilliant ensuring the product was wrapped properly.
