Dangerous issue appallingly handled

Echoing previous comments- major safety issue with our heat pump dryer which is now months old and still unresolved. Completely opaque system for dealing with the issue and have spent hours on the phone trying to get someone to deal with it. If it’s as dangerous as they say, it seems inevitable that someone will have a fire because it’s taking so long to make these machines safe. Will never buy Montpellier again.

Built in double oven purchased Jan 9 25 May door fell apart.Montpellier repeated it. SEPTEMBER LARGE OVEN FAILED.Wanted receipt details currys sent it received message saying they had received it Now they are saying they haven't got IT. THEY ARE PLAYING US FOR FOOLS. I will never buy from them again...

Montepellier vented dryer MVSD7W 7KG


Bought this vented dryer MVSD7W 7KG 2024 WITH 2 YEAR WARRANTY
I held off on this review to give them a chance but enough is enough.
Unit itself worked just as it should until we needed a repair.
Phoned them direct and from a month ago to now the customer service is really bad.
The item is under warranty so come out and repair or replace, simple.
The tactics and requests for photos etc they have used to not come out to us is the worst customer service we've experienced
They have fobbed us off to a local repair company who now say they can't get hold of the part.
A whole month this to and from has been going on, no one called me back, I've had to instigate all comms.
Would not buy from this brand again based on warranty claims and even the place I bought the dryer from have said its not the first time they've encountered this lack of giving a damn and they said they will no longer actively sell or recommend Montipellier products.
Shame on you as a company for how you have treated this case dragging your heels to not come out and I Will be posting on all review sites.

When a fault is reported, we begin with a soft service check to help identify the issue and confirm whether a genuine fault is present. This approach is intended to protect our customers from unnecessary call-out charges, especially in cases where the issue may be due to product misuse or routine maintenance. I can assure you there was no intention to delay the process, and as we discussed during our phone conversation, we were more than happy to proceed with arranging a repair.

I’ve since spoken with the repair agent, who has now completed the work on your tumble dryer and confirmed that the appliance is operating correctly. I’m unsure why you were initially told the cable was out of stock, as it was available when I checked personally.

I hope the matter has now been fully resolved to your satisfaction. Should you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Got a safety message from Montpellier


Got a safety message from Montpellier telling me to disconnect our drier and that a Candy Hoover group repairman would come and make necessary safety changes (they outsource the repairs it seems). That was 3 weeks ago. I called, they said all their repair people were busy and they could not give me any idea of when this work would be done. Useless.

The factory Haier who are responsible for this item are also the company sending out the engineers to complete the modifications. Not a good experience

Not a good experience. The gas cooker was installed by my fully qualified lpg gas safe engineer. On installation everything worked except the main oven. My engineer rang the supplier Appliance world who instructed him to ring Montpellier who said it was up to the supplier. After numerous phone calls and filling in the guarantee which took most of the afternoon they didn't want to know. Montpellier eventually agreed to send their engineer out to repair it but the part they sent out was wrong and his lpg cert. had expired! He must've told them the part that was required to repair it and l asked them to take it away which they refused as it was repairable (a faulty thermo coupling) Eventually they asked me for my engineers contact no. and they asked him to repair it which was suggested in the beginning. I now have a full working oven no thanks to Montpellier after 6 weeks of numerous emails and phone calls and the help of Appliance world. I just hope that nothing else goes wrong and that l have to go through this again! The good point is l do like the oven.

Do not Purchase Montpellier Fridgre Freezer to many faults!

I purchased a Montpellier Fridge Freezer which is the biggest mistake.Not only does it leak water inside the fridge it keeps getting ice built up on the back of the Fridge. The Freezer Part is absolutely horrendous supposed to be Frost Free (Definitely not) plastic drawers are thin and have cracked or snapped completely. Not worth the Money its flimsy and faulty!!! Less then 3 years old..Not acceptable

Never will I buy this brand again

Never will I buy this brand again. New washing machine brought 18 months ago. Using for the 1st time I wasn't overly impressed. Was nosier than our last machine (LG direct drive 15 years old) all the mechanical noises sounded slack like the water pump and never washed as well as our last machine. Programs would sometimes not complete, certain programmes would take on softener at the same time as detergent leaving clothes not smelling very nice. Done all the checks, clean draw, washing machine level, switched off at the mains to try a reset but nothing worked to resolve the issues. Finally the water pump gave up after just 18 months. I never really had faith in this machine from day one. Reading the reviews I just couldn't be bothered with the customer service even though it still had a few months warranty left (didn't want the hassle of endless phone calls, buck passing etc)so have just scrapped the hunk of junk and gone back to LG. So much for buying British !

The gentleman who came to fix my montipellier gas cooker was absolutely first class. He rang myself stating he would be with me within the hour, very chatty and pleasant on the phone. Dnt forget this gentleman came from Bristol to repair in Wigan. His manner, when he arrived to repair cooker was a joy, happy, accommodating, very tidy whilst doing his job and more so respected my worktops. This gentleman really was a pleasure to see someone happy in what they do. He should be cloned

Rubbish machine do not buy

Rubbish machine do not buy. Rubber corrodes after 6 months and Montpellier won’t fix as it’s not electrical. Waste of money and waste of my time waiting on engineers, no communication whatsoever. And a room full of washing. Not impressed in the slightest.

I purchased a dishwasher & washer in


I purchased a dishwasher & washer in cream, to match. They are completely different colours. I am bitterly disappointed & would suggest anyone avoids this manufacturer/suplier. I will certainly avoid in future.

Just installed our Montpellier


Just installed our Montpellier dishwasher. A doddle to install, as long as you have the plumbing sorted, it’s a straight swap over. Did the Sunday dinner pots and it worked a treat, quiet and clean. So far, we’re very happy.

Customer service shortfalls after my appliance broke!

Very disappointed with Montpellier's product quality and customer service! My fridge freezer broke last month after only 3 1/2 years. Unfortunately the warranty was only for 2. My mistake for not taking the extended warranty, but I have never had an appliance fail so fast, so I didn't think I'd need it. I'd had my previous fridge/freezer since 2007! I telephoned for urgent help and was told there was no help available - I was told because it was out of warranty, they could do nothing, not even try and help me diagnose the fault remotely or offer any advice. I also emailed Montpellier at the same time asking for urgent help, but received no response - until 19 days later! Then, I received an email apologising for the fact that my plea for help went straight into Montpellier's deleted folder! By this time, the fault had been diagnosed independently as a failed compressor, the cost of which had meant I had to buy another appliance. This new email from Montpellier specifically told me that if I had phoned at the time, they could have gone through a 'soft service' with me, could have tried to help me, also could have offered me a better price on a new purchase. None of which was mentioned when I was actually ON the phone to Montpellier and asked them specifically for this type of help. After I told Montpellier that I HAD in fact telephoned them, and I provided them with details of the actual call time and asked Montpellier to listen to the call and escalate to management, their stance changed. All I am being offered now is an apology for how this has been handled and suggestions to approach the retailer and trading standards. None of which help me now.

Montpellier Cooker

I was gifted my brand new Montpellier electric cooker by my Grandmother, as it was a gift, she did not unwrap it, when I unwrapped it, I found that the hob glass was shattered. Contacted Montpellier to explain the situation expecting it to be covered by warranty, they said warranty does not cover glass. My question is glass can be damaged through delivery right? Anyway, Nan spend over £400 pounds for this appliance so I will not be recommending Montpellier and I will pay Montpellier for a new hob to replace the damaged one. Buy a brand that will insist on checking for damage once delivered.

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to unwrap a brand-new gift from your Grandmother only to find the glass hob damaged. While our guarantee unfortunately doesn’t cover glass components due to the nature of how damage can occur post-manufacture, we do always recommend that customers inspect appliances upon delivery where possible, as damage during transit—while rare—can occasionally happen.

That said, we appreciate how frustrating this situation has been, especially given the thoughtful nature of the gift and the investment involved. Your feedback is important to us, and we’ll be sure to share your comments internally as we continue to improve the experience for our customers.

Fridge Freezer

This fridge freezer (model M510BW) is driving me mad! I wish I had never bought the bloody thing. It has been rattling more or less nonstop ever since we got it 17/10/2019. I would only recommend it to my worst enemy!
