I would not recommend

I would not recommend, we purchased a washing machine approx 5 years ago and it broke just after warranty, crazy but was cheaper to buy another so we did just that in Oct 2023. It's out of their x2 year warranty, just called customer service and they won't even discuss sending an engineer to take a look and not even if I pay! May just be a broken belt! Terrible customer service and could not even give me a list of independent engineers, try trust a trader was the reply!

After looking through the e-mail correspondence that our Customer Service team had with you, I can see we did advise you to contact our repair agents who could assist you with a chargeable repair to your appliance. I cannot see we had advised you to try Trust a Trader at any point during the e-mail exchange.

Beautiful cream

Montpellier Undercounter Retro Fridge Freezer MAB2035E

Beautiful cream, under counter fridge freezer, I collected mine, myself from Borshch, brand new, no dents. I just didnt trust online delivery elsewhere, without damage having read so many reviews where people were upset, but liked the design of the product.

This fridge freezer for my home has been the best investment I have made to date, to replace a 10 year Russell Hobbs refrigerator that stopped working. The refrigerator is very light and can be moved by yourself, the handles are not stainless steel, plastic sprayed with that finish. I got the shop to put mine on, added bonus so my door handles don't fall off.

However if the refrigerator is not properly wrapped in bubble wrap at corners and around the product, expect damage as it is made with what looks to be a softer hard plastic material. I can honestly see why so many were damaged during transit from online orders with delivery. I was just fortunate to see the condition in person and collect on the next day myself.

The Freezer section holds loads more than I was expecting, it is like a little deep tardis, very roomy and the fridge too. I added my own led light in the freezer part costing a couple of quid, just common sense, I did not get the reviews that complained after purchase, read the spec and description properly. The refrigerator It is tall, deep, but narrow. For me heighr wise it just fit under my kitchen top counter and is perfect for my small space. Very pleased. A*

Just hoping it lasts longer than 2 years, as I don't have money to throw around as I read a couple of reviews saying after 2 years their fridge freezer went, but they didn't state whether it was undercounter or not. Hoping not the case. Will extend warranty with Borshch anyway, just in case.

If you order online, be prepared for potential damage on arrival. My best advice, go somewhere you can purchase in person and at least ask for it to be wrapped with extra bubble wrap in the box. Borshch took mine out of the box, I was able to inspect it, and saw it wrapped in front of me on the day of collection. They were brilliant ensuring the product was wrapped properly.

Unbelievably bad

I never write bad reviews. This is a first.
My first cooker was delivered 31/10/24. Was replaced because it was a fire risk! If the power was on it was impossible to turn off the top oven and grill.
Cooker number two delivered 11/11/24
The subsequent faults I have experienced are too numerous to mention here. Faulty thermostats, plates not cooling down, warning lights not functioning etc. At one point TWO engineers attended to rewire it!
It is still not fully functional. The company contracted to undertake Montpelier repairs have recently asked for it to be written off and replaced again but Montpelier have refused.
I am now waiting for visit number 15 (FIFTEEN) from an engineer.
I have spoken to Customer Services, emailed and written to the CEO (not even an acknowledgement here).
At no time have I had an apology or acknowledgement of the time, energy and stress the situation has caused me.
Now, maybe this happened during the last repair, there is a small area of enamel damage on the front of the cooker. I really do not feel happy with continued use of my present appliance and request Montpelier give me a replacement.

American Fridge Freezer

American Fridge Freezer - be aware the top shelf cannot be used as it will freeze everything. Montpellier and Appliance World Online have refused to refund the item so we are left with a fridge that freezes everything on the top shelf under the chiller outlet unit. We've lost about 20% of capacity. Other than that fridge is ok, plastic very brittle but having lost 20% of capacity it isn't fit for purpose within 6 weeks of purchase and I cannot seem to get a refund. Be very cautious.

Doesn’t match their other CREAM appliances

Montpellier sell a ‘cream’ dishwasher and washing machine. I purchased both to sit side by side in my kitchen.
They look awful as they are different colours!
If they are going to name them the same colour they ought to ensure they actually match!
The only reason I purchased their washer was because it should match. No other reason. I would have far rather had a washer dryer had I known it wasn’t the same colour.

Poor Complaints Service

On the 23-10-25 I escalated my complaint, and one month has passed, but my escalated complaint has still not been dealt with: I actually addressed my complaint to the managing director.

Having not received any response, I then addressed my complaint to all three managing directors: I have still not received any response.

Of course, I did receive two three excuses.

This is very poor customer service, and totally unacceptable because the complaint centred on a very simple problem: I dread to think how they would have dealt with a complicated complaint.

To date, 04-12-2025, I have still received no response.

Lasted just 2 years

My mid-price Montpelier fridge broke down just after the 2 year warranty ran out. Also had flimsy plastic brackets holding up the door shelves.

The worst experience of my life

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a manufacturer. They barely respond, they take forever to do anything, and after 2 months of calls and emails, they sent two engineers who tried to fix the cooker with glue. A cooker that deals with heat, glued on top. It’s still not fit for use, but I’m honestly exhausted.

If there’s ever a fire or any danger, I have everything documented and I will take legal action. Even Currys PC World, where I bought it, said they can’t help because the manufacturer refuses to admit the cooker is faulty.

Please, do yourself a favour, buy from another brand.

We arranged to send our repair agents out to your cooker to repair and refit the lid. The engineer attended on the 6th November 2025 and the lid was refitted, the appliance was tested and has passed thr inspection. We have acknowledged that the appliance is faulty as we arranged for thr engineer to attend initially.

A qualified gas engineer has completed the repair and fully inspected the appliance, it has been deemed safe to be used.

Receieved a letter saying my machine…

Receieved a letter saying my machine could cause death turn off
Right away contact haier,done this was told 3 days to replace 4 weeks gone by.
Had to but a replacement dry as i have a family...poor customer service from haier and monpellier...do not buy.

Montpellier Freezer

Montpellier MITF 215 Integrated Freezer . Installed in new build house 4 years ago . Broke and was replaced under warranty in first year . Replacement broke a year later , just before 2 year warranty expired . Third one has just failed out of warranty . Don’t touch these rebadges freezers from this company . Have also had problems with their hobs .

I purchased a Montpellier (MWBIC90029)…

I purchased a Montpellier (MWBIC90029) Built in microwave in June 2025.

In October 2025 I noticed the door seal had become faulty and the microwave door would steam up.
Also the door would not sit correctly and feels like the door was not correctly fitted to the hinges and there was play in the hinges.

Photos provided, of the steam in the glass and the door not sitting correctly,

I contacted customer services last week, and instead of getting this resolved all I seem to be getting asked who installed it (it's only a 13A plug which is plugged into a wall socket),

Amazingly pathetic customer service

The fridge stoped working within warranty. The trader this was bought through has stopped trading in Montpellier appliances. And Montpellier refused to help me get a replacement fridge. The service process is also quite bad, took more than 2 weeks for them to come up with an answer, and the answer was 'we can't to anything'. Extremely bad customer service.

Choose another brand

Pity there’s not an option for no stars.
My fridge freezer is two months out of warranty, the refrigerator is not getting cold, the freezer is fine. I was willing to pay for an engineer to to take a look & potentially repair. Not given the option. Told the appliance had not been installed correctly. As far as they are concerned, end of story.

Thank you for your review, I have found the notes from your call with Montpellier, Where you reported it was not getting cold.
The team member reviewed the pictures you sent in and advised:
1. You should contact the original kitchen fitter, whom you paid to install the product as they have not allowed enough ventilation around the product, as clearly stipulated within the installation manual that came with the product.
2. They also advised that you could try a new door seal, as this may help.
You are correct in stating that the product is out of warranty, however, we will always try and support any customer queries, however, this has not been installed correctly, so I would also advise that you speak to the kitchen fitters.

I was told not to use my Montpellier…

I was told not to use my Montpellier integrated dryer in June. I have contacted several times regarding an engineer to call, to be told they’re very busy and are trying their best. I was promised £50 towards my laundry cost, which I never received, to be increased ti £100, which I have not received. I am furious. I am not sure what to do at this point. I am going to contact Trading Standards. This surely is some kind of scam?? How can you be told to stop using a dangerous appliance, then nothing is done?

The tumble dryer modification is being completed by Haier, they make this product for several brands.
I have checked our systems and cannot see that you have contacted Montpellier directly so Haier will have made you the offer you have talked about

The current estimated time to have all modifications completed is 8 weeks, however, this could move depending on resource etc.

Dangerous issue appallingly handled

Echoing previous comments- major safety issue with our heat pump dryer which is now months old and still unresolved. Completely opaque system for dealing with the issue and have spent hours on the phone trying to get someone to deal with it. If it’s as dangerous as they say, it seems inevitable that someone will have a fire because it’s taking so long to make these machines safe. Will never buy Montpellier again.

Built in double oven purchased Jan 9 25 May door fell apart.Montpellier repeated it. SEPTEMBER LARGE OVEN FAILED.Wanted receipt details currys sent it received message saying they had received it Now they are saying they haven't got IT. THEY ARE PLAYING US FOR FOOLS. I will never buy from them again...
