There was a minor issue with a new product regarding packaging of a product. Not only did Montpellier acknowledge that they knew about this issue, they (Carin Gormley) ensured that I would be supplied with a product free of charge which would rectify the issue.
contacted Montpellier Appliances today to register my appliance,i know it should have been done sooner but i work away alot so i dont remember to these things, i did this today as i had a problem with the appliance yesterday 28/07/2024.
i was then given a number to call for an engineer to arramge for the appliance to be look at as thier was an error code ( E4) this morning i found it had leaked water onto my kitchen floor, it was a long winded process i also gave the serial number and other details in which i was asked to send proof of purchase but not where to send it i thierfore ended the process as i got the impression that i was not going to get an engineer callout to sort the problem out for a appliance that is not 6 months old.
i have therefore removed the appliance form my kitchen and will look at buying a new appliance by the weekend.

I bought an under counter red Montpellier in March 2022 from Currys online and also paid £50 to extend the 2 year guarantee. Just as well because exactly 2 years and 3 months later in June 2024 the compressor stopped working, the parts were unavailable and under the extended guarantee policy Currys wrote it off. They sent me an E-gift and I ordered a replacement the same Montpellier as before because the size and colour was what I wanted for my kitchen. When the replacement arrived on the front of the brand new fridge freezer were 2 large marketing labels, not the easy-to-peel-off type, but firmly glued down and attempt to remove them left glue and backing paper residue defacing the brand new fridge. Currys sent a second replacement and that too bore the exact same marketing labels that even the delivery team were unable to remove. Both replacements were taken back and when Currys said it appears all these Montpellier fridge freezers stocked by them carry the same labels I decided that enough was enough. Therefore BEWARE if you're thinking of buying a red Montpellier Retro MAB2035ER in my experience they're more style than substance, because a) the compressor stopped working just 3 months outside of the 2 year guarantee period and b) if what Currys said is true and all of this model of Montpellier are sent to them by the manufacturer with the same defacing glued down marketing labels that I experienced, all I can say is what idiocy!

Another broken oven door they are refusing to accept fault for- first use, not even switched on and the outer door glass disintegrated as I opened it with the frame falling apart into 3 pieces. Between Currys and these cowboys not sure who's the worst charlatans!! Product is all style and no substance- good luck with a 2 year warranty.. not worth the papers its printed on.

Do not buy their Heat Pump Tumble Dryer! Advertised as reverse action, but it only reverses for 5 seconds every 10 minutes! Montpellier and Currys wont exchange as it does 'reverse' and as designed. It screws your clothes and bed lining into knots! Total rubbish and no help at all when you have an issue.

I really like the little fridge, but there are already some issues. First of all, it is really noisy, a high pitched tone, secondly, there is a lot of moisture in the fridge and also ice builds up on the back.
Worst of all the two stickers on the front door were so hard to remove that I have not managed to get it totally off, it looks horrible with brown residue on it! How can you use such stickers??? I have a new Bosch washing machine, where the stickers came off beautifully. So all in all disappointed

My ice dispenser broke down soon after purchase. The engineer came out 4 times. Every time the part would be replaced and last for around 4 months.
I just called Montpellier to report the problem again and they said the engineer wonât come out as your appliance is out of guarantee. I was told by the engineer last time that I was entiled to the appliance be replaced, but it was too much hassle. I really thought that given the defect Tracy record they would fix it again but no luck.
Very bad quality product. Please stay away from this company as even the engineer said their appliances break down all the time.
I was disappointed at the size of the freezer compartment ,if I d have been told it was because it s frost free I would have chosen one with more freezer space
