Information and data on website for gas struts was perfect.
I needed replacement struts for a keter plastic tool store, bought elsewhere initially but they were the wrong diameter and the cylinder was too long/piston rod too short.
Metrol were a bit more expensive than other strut providers, but from the data I got the struts I needed (or close enough that they would work), and still half the price of new hinge setups from Keter.
From all the variations/add on eyelets and fixtures I got almost what I needed (I got the smallest eyelet available M6 but needed an M4, a 6mm HSS on the hinge will fix that).
Metrol don’t offer fixed/welded eyelets, but again, I’ll work with it.
The packaging was very robust; plastic banding round a well taped box opened to an almost excessive bubble wrapped pair of struts. All good stuff and hopefully further proof of a high quality product from a gold star company. It was also interesting to see the flyer in the box for their other offerings. Almost frustrated me to see they do a free design service! I may have contacted them if I knew it was an available thing before ordering what I did.
I’ll update after they’ve been in use for a few months to see how they’re holding up.

First off was their easy to follow website, with clear understandable information. Secondly was the information suplied about your delivery. Third was the amazingly fast delivery. Fourth and foremost is their excellent products.

email confirms delivery to DPD but the actual delivery is DX Express, which never deliver the items after multiple fake failed deliveries. Then there no customer service and their live chat never connect. Be aware!

Metrol had a pair of gas struts for the bonnet of an obscure 70s Italian car in stock and delivered them the next day. The parts seem good quality and are reasonably priced. Happy customer.

I had previously purchased 4 fixed force gas struts from a different supplier, but these proved to be too strong for my application, so had to be replaced by variable force struts. In order to calculate the required set force I needed some technical specifications, but the original supplier was reluctant to provide them.

When I made a request for technical data from Metrol they were happy to supply it to me as a private individual (not a company): this refreshing attitude has secured them a sale.
