Motor range salesman and managers were all very polite. Professional .and listened to our requirements. Didnt try to PUSH a vehicle on us. Went a couple of times before we picked a car. Bought several cars from motor range.

So upsetting daughters 1st car which…
So upsetting daughters 1st car which she has saved for ! Its broken down after 8 weeks motor range want £75 just to check what's wrong with it ! Apparently its warranty has run out after 30 days ! We were not given the opportunity to extend! So now what do we do ? Its just sat on our drive ! Honestly motor range have you got no conscience!

All of our vehicles undergo comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic checks before they are prepared for collection, and we take great pride in supplying high-quality used cars. Unfortunately, as with any used vehicle, mechanical issues can occasionally arise after purchase.
The £75 charge you have mentioned is a diagnostic fee. This covers the process of connecting the vehicle to specialist diagnostic equipment to identify the fault, allowing our technicians to accurately determine the issue before carrying out any necessary repairs.
All of our vehicles are supplied with a 30-day guarantee as standard, with the option to purchase an extended warranty for additional cover. This is explained during the sales process and is detailed on the Demands and Needs form, which is discussed and signed at the point of sale.
We completely understand your frustration and appreciate how upsetting this must be for both you and your daughter. We genuinely value our customers' experience and always want to provide the best possible service. As a gesture of goodwill, we covered the cost of the repair carried out at your chosen independent garage. We hope this demonstrated our commitment to supporting you, even outside of the warranty period. Awful customer service!
Awful customer service!
Don't respond to complaints at all - I have put 3 separate complaints in over the last 8 weeks over an ongoing problem and have now had to go to the ombudsman as motor range have told my finance company that everything has been resolved.
UPDATE: Laura, my complaints were sent to care@motorrange which is the email address listed on your website as part of your complaints process. The information you need can be found there. If it is an unmanned email then it needs to be removed from public information. My first complaint was sent on May 19th 2026

I was let down by Motor Range before I…
I was let down by Motor Range before I even got to see a car. On their website, they boast that you can complete a free soft search or arrange finance in minutes using their deal builder tool. Unfortunately, this isn't true. I filled out the form on Saturday at 2:00 PM, expecting the promised instant result. Instead, I just got a message on the screen saying someone would contact me. Nobody called. I don't usually like receiving sales calls, but this time I was actually waiting for one. Making promises about getting things sorted in "minutes" and then completely failing to follow up is a very poor business practice that effectively puts you off buying from them.

Disappointing
Disappointing, completed the px valuation online car is only 18 months old 12,000 miles A1 condition offered a great price online but I should’ve known better. 2 hours out of my day to go down - he put the details in the computer it came out at £28k for good condition, great……but then all the excuses of why it’s not actually worth that much, oh sorry we’d only sell for 26k so it’s not worth anywhere near our online valuation. If you respond and say it’s an estimate then I’d suggest you sort your valuation software as it’s obviously just a ploy to get people there so you can try and get the car cheap…..so disappointing

Very helpful
Olly was my sales man and he was lovely; jokey and laid back from the start. Everyone in the dealership was friendly and made us laugh. Even when I went back with questions and Olly wasn't available, his manager helped and he was just as funny and helpful. Upon picking up my car Olly and Matty were helpful and made themselves available for the timeslot I needed. All over great experience!
