THE experience of my life. Seeing Machu Picchu has been a dream since I was 10 - went last year at age 63! Of course it did not disappoint but the journey nearly eclipsed the destination with an exceptionally well organized company ie staff lodgings and food. So happy I decided to do the journey in this way.

I haven't yet gone on expedition with them, but they have been very accommodating as the coronavirus pandemic has made mincemeat of our plans. Looking forward to our rescheduled expedition next year.

The tour guides and lodges were good, but the administration before start of the tour was not good.

it has been a pleasure dealing with MLP. They have been very proactive in helping us with the restrictions due to the Covid19 outbreak. We look forward to rescheduling our trip in the near distant future.

Our guide Tony was excellent: knowledgeable, kind and patient. Everything worked perfectly with one minor glitch in the third day of the trip related to we being a bit late.The lodges were beautiful and comfortable. The food delicious and the employees all nice and efficient. We travelled end of November and had a perfect weather.
One suggestion is make sure you booked the climb to the Huyana Picchu mountain and don’t go on the guided tour of Machu Picchu because you won’t have time to do both. Climbing the mountain is better. We got mixed up and missed the climb (the hours that you can climb are limited).
This was one of the best trips I have ever made. You should definitely try it!

The service in coordinating my trip and coordinating changes for corona virus have been great. Can’t wait to take the trip.

Staff we worked with on reservation was great. They helped us research local hotels for additional nights and local activities.

My husband and I did the Salkantay Trek with Mountain Lodges of Peru (MLP) in September of 2019 to celebrate my 50th birthday. Words cannot express our experience with MLP but I will try. From the night of our trek briefing to the end of our stay, it was top notch all the way. The guides (Jimmy and Raul) and porters were so organized, friendly, accommodating, and passionate. We learned so much along the way and hiked through the Andes Mountains. I fell in love with this country. The lodges were beautiful, comfortable and the food was off the charts good. The day of my birthday, the kitchen made a cake for me and we celebrated with Pisco Sours....could not have asked for a more special way to celebrate my milestone birthday. I had lost my necklace in our last lodge and the 2 days later, someone showed up in our hotel in Cuzco to drop it off. I cannot believe they found it but that they also took the time to get it back to me by giving it to the group behind us. Amazing trip and memories to last a lifetime. I cannot recommend this company enough.

Beautiful hotels, breathtaking outdoor experiences and fascinating cultural exchanges with locals throughout the trip. Great knowledge kind guides too.

We had a great time. The views were awesome. Soo much good food and the guides were gracious and accommodating to our varied group.

The accommodations and food were superior. The 5 day tour was more exciting than I had expected. Our 3 tour guides, Silvia, Carla and Jimmy, were wonderful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, safe and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Mountain Lodges Of Peru.

Great guides, food, lodging,route. I felt I learned a lot and appreciated indigenous Peru. With the exception of Machu Picchu, we had no competition with other groups.

We appreciated your use of local people in your lodges. You are also very cognizant of environmental concerns. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent. We did the cultural component, and it was excellent too - and we liked all the guides.

I cannot think of much else - This trip was on my bucket list and I consider it well completed! Thank you for the great experience.

The best tour of many I have taken- excellent attention to detail I have multiple food allergies and this was the easiest dining out experience I have had

From the start to the finish everything was wonderful, fantastic knowledgeable and caring guides, beautiful lodges and food, and then the trek itself. Wow, tiring but worth every bit of sweat. Plus we met some very nice and interesting fellow trekkers. A once in a lifetime experience which we are encouraging anyone who asks to take the challenge on.
