I dont understand why Samsung use themâŠ
I dont understand why Samsung use them for trade in program. I sent them a warranty repaired Fold 3 for trade in. I checked it and tested it before sending it and guess what they claim that the internal screen is cracked. Sent me a photo of a fully working screen. I just paid the £150 access because I didn't want any headaches but I don't think I will ever be using them or Samsung again.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!
My trade-in phone had one minor scratch and MTR took pictures of damage that wasn't there before of a lifted screen offf the phone. No way of discussing or proving to them otherwise. And suspicious greater damage on the trade-in screen

Well I wish I had read reviews here
Well I wish I had read reviews here , I sent them my Samsung note 20 in good condition was told 280 if good , wow best price ,
Then the inevitable blob on screen a fuzzy photo of a thumb , take 50 , got my phone back took it to a very reputable phone shop who do repairs what they on about itâs fine ,
So stay away try cex much better .
These companies should be avoided
A delay but helpful call guys n gals
I read the horror stories and was losing my mind having just traded a mint S20 5G as part of my S23 Ultra Purchase so imagine my despair last week all of a sudden getting the dreaded 'lock' message if my trade in wasn't completed. I checked Royal Mail tracking and my phone had left the post office in 1st March and landed at RM Superhub 5 days later (already rubbish given its a 48 hour pre payment label) then it never moved. RM were useless so after some email tennis with MTR I ended up calling them (and have a couple of times) and spoken to Hamish, Juliette and Julie who advised of the current situation, a slight backlog of stopping 'lock' messages and that they had raised a 'missing' claim with RM to sort. Just within the last hour the 'lock' message has disappeared and all seems in order. I have to give MTR some credit amongst all these crap reviews. The 3 people I spoke to were all polite, helpful and simply asked for a little patience and all is now sorted! Instead of getting all mad, maybe give them a call (and be courteous much as you may be fuming as NOBODY likes a Karen ð€£) and have some patience
Donât buy a preloved phone from Very as they use this rubbish company
A few months ago, I purchased a pre-loved, grade A condition iPhone from Very, boy I wish I hadnât. The phone never worked that well from the beginning then just stopped working. I contacted Very who told me I was to send the phone to the supplier the MTR group (I had never even heard of them). These people never advised me what was going on and just sent me a new phone to replace my existing one. Well this phone is just as rubbish as the first and doesnât work properly either! I purchased the phone in good faith via Very, I was not expecting to have to deal with a different company so my poor review is for both the MTR group and VERY. I am NOT a happy customer.

Last samsung I buy
Avoid at all costs. Absolute charlatans.
I sent my Samsung phone off for repair under warranty and for the life of me I cannot understand why Samsung would choose to associate with this company. I sent it in because people could not hear me on the phone although I could hear them. Also, the touchscreen was temperamental since the day I had it, but progressively worsened. I have had the phone about 6 months. When MTR received it they said the phone was physically damaged (not true) and it would be £88 (incl. VAT) to repair. I just wanted the phone returned but they wanted £18 for an "inspection charge", even though the phone was well within warranty. Samsung confirmed this and advised me not to make any payment to MTR and my phone was eventually returned to me free of charge. But based on other reviews I seem to have just been lucky. As long as Samsung continue to outsource repairs to this company, there is essentially no warranty on any of their devices. I'd sooner throw my phone in the bin than let these charlatans get their hands on it. People think highwaymen and bandits are relics of the past. They're not; they just work for MTR now.
Would highly recommend
Brilliant from start to finish kept updated of what was going on. Was quoted £240 for my phone and thatâs what I got. Excellent service all round. Thank you ð
DO NOT TRADE YOUR MOBILE IN WITH VERYâŠ
DO NOT TRADE YOUR MOBILE IN WITH VERY VIA MTR.
I used MTR to trade in my old phone when buying a new one from Very. I didn't do much research on MTR as I thought that if Very endorsed them they would provide a good service.
I was offered £140 for my phone and sent it off to MTR. They later emailed me to say that there was an issue with my phone, that the back cover was lifted indicating a battery problem or that the screen had previously been replaced. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the phone when it was sent off. It was in perfect working condition.MTR revised their offer down to £40. I then checked TrustPilot and saw the reviews!!! I felt I had no choice but to accept the new offer as there were many reviews from other customers in the same situation saying they had not received their phones back or that when they did their phone was returned damaged.
I contacted Very to question their partnership with MTR, but apparently no-one knows anything about it!
SCAM ASSOCIATED WITH VERY.CO.UK
this came up to trade my iPhone 12 as a partner with Very. The minute I clicked the link and started to put in my details a London number called 0207 3918888 - complete scam. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I thought it was legit as they partner with Very.co.uk. Absolutely not. Thank Goodness I did not proceed

SCAMMERS & THIEVES
Total scam I donât know why Very are promoting this company. I was quoted £150 for an Apple Watch so I sent it off in the original Apple box with my strap un used plug and charger. They then said the on off button wasnât working which was news to me because I had put it to factory reset and turned it off. They then offered me £3. I refused this and asked for my watch back.
What I got back was just my watch face in a little black box. Everything else was missing stolen.

Wouldn't give any stars but 1 is as low as you can go . Done deal via very for old OnePlus phone . Price offered was duly knocked down because of the old " screen burn " trick . Shower of scammers . Why are Very teaming up with these crooks . Avoid use CEK instead .

Sent my 2017 iPad to sell as theyâŠ
Sent my 2017 iPad to sell as they quoted £70. Then decided to only pay £20. It was in a very good condition.
Now sold it on CEX for £112.
Would not recommend this company.
Complete scammers!! Dobt trust them with ur device!!
Complete scammers. Sent zflip 3 under warranty in for repair through Samsung. The screen flickered green and screen saver had a crease at the fold.
They tried to scam £309 out of me to repair the phone stating it was damaged.
There was not one mark on the phone I sent to them and when I received it back they had scratched all over the bottom screen.
Not only have they tried to rip me off they have intentionally damaged my phone.
I am disgusted at the behaviour of MTR and have reported them for this!!
Avoid Samsung trade-in/recycle program!!
Avoid trade-in/recycle program!!! They are devaluing the price of the trade-in device when you send it to them and ask for extra money. Sent an S21 Ultra less than 1 year old in a perfect condition, 2 weeks later I received a notification of a screen burn ...with a grainy picture that looked like it was taken with a phone from 2000's or Photoshopped asking me to pay 75£. I was born with a great attention to details and I would have noticed this screenburn before I had sent my device. I'm at the second Trade In when i am asked for more money. And the fact fact that there are a lot of people here with the same story here makes me think it is a common practice within their organisation to make money! Avoid!!
Bit of a scam going on
Bit of a scam going on here, my experience mirrors previous experiences below.
Apparently item is now faulty and they refuse to submit a claim to the Royal Mail
Positive experience
Iâve had a positive experience so far.I was offered £360 for my iPhone12, 2 years old exactly. Amazon offered £301 which I thought was a bit mean as the phone is perfect just a tired battery. I sent the phone back yesterday at 15:30 Special Delivery cost £7.65, got an email shortly after confirming this. 09.26 this morning ot an email confirming phone had arrived at MTR, another at 13.11 a bank transfer of £360 will be deposited into my Account after 17.00 today. If there was an option to send a snapshot of the email I would have sent it as proof with this review.I am glad that I didnât read these reviews before I went ahead as I wouldnât have used the company, reason for this is I came upon MTR via Very.co.uk.
