First camping tour and big success
First we tried one of the established companies to rent a camper van and after checking reviews online, we didn't dare to book there anymore. Too expensive, too little service, and a lot of problems apparently.
When we found MyCamper, it felt much better and the reviews were also much better. We gave it a chance and have been very happy. Easy to find a camper close by with high ratings. The whole process was super easy, fast, and smooth. The owner of the camper was very helpful and nice. The car was in perfect condition and pretty much everything included in the price. We will use MyCamper definitely again.

Trotz Problemen gut
Probleme mit dem Kühlschrank, Benzinverbrauch bei 90 bis 100 km/h hoch, ca 15 l/100 km, Kupplungspedal hart besonders im Stau, hatten trotzdem schöne Ferien in Kroatien.

Très facile de trouver un camping car…
Très facile de trouver un camping car si on s’y prend a l’avance. Le suivi de tout ce que l’on fait ou est à faire est très largement expliqué. Les échanges de mails sont rapides. Le seul reproche est que lors du paiement, il ne faut pas juste clicker " PAYER ", ce ne marche pas, il faut choisir autre moyen de paiement et re-rentrer sa carte bleue.
La prise en main du véhicule est très complète, le check out aussi. Il n’y a pas de doute sur l’état du départ et celui de l’arrivée.

Sehr Empfehlenswert
Sehr umfangreiche Auswahl und die einzige Plattform mit dem von uns gewünschten Fahrzeug. Der ganze Prozess von der Anfrage bis zum Abschluss war sehr einfach, da jeder Schritt ausführlich beschrieben wird. Die Kommunikation ist sehr intensiv und man wird auf jeden nächsten Schritt detailliert vorbereitet.
Alles läuft über die Webpage ab, was in diesem Fall kein Problem darstellte und super funktionierte. Eine MyCamper App wäre das Tüpfelchen auf dem i, bei der Grösse des Startup jedoch verständlich.

Frais MyCamper beacoup trop chers
La plateforme marche bien, J'aurais laissé un avis 4 stars. Seulement voilà : lors de la conclusion du contrat apparaît la composition du prix : Mycamper facture 38 % de commission !! (dans mon cas : 5 jours de locations , le propriétaire touche environ CHF 400.- et Mycamper environ CHF157.-) C'est totalement disproportionné et abusif, surtout de la part d'une grande plateforme qui peut répartir ses coûts sur un très grand nombre de clients. Donc je n'utiliserai plus leur services, je n'ai pas envie d'enrichir des profiteurs.

Unreanable charges without any English Insurance T&C provided
We rented from through Mycamper from a private owner from 7/23 to 8/1 in Norway. We drove into a parking lot that is too low that damage the three plastic roof windows and one antenna. Immediately we notified the owner right away with photos. We were not too far (1st day) and he sent someone to do a basic fix with the cost of $50 Euro. We are fine with it. On the day of return when checking the car, the owner suggested that we paid him cash to close it privately. We refused to do so. Insisted that we go through Mycamper's process by Insurance. He backed off.
2 months later, the Insurance company Omocom send an email with just the total of NOK28,428 (US$2,825) without any details. Just one line. We requested the break down details, then they sent simple break down with
2 small windows (Front and middle) NOK6,800
1 bigger window (back) NOK3,800
Antenna NOK6,029
Total labor charge NOK11718
In the contract that we signed with MyCamper, it stated clearly that the deductible is NOK16,000. The insurance company Omocom sent us the full Term and Condition in Norwegian version only. (and of course we did not spend time to translate it) When we receive the billing email, Omocom told us that the deductable for the height is actually NOK32,000. What a surprise! Nothing being mentioned before and only showed in Norwegian Term and Condition.
During our drive, only the front window and Antenna were actually damaged. Both two windows in the back without any issues but minor scratches. I am sure the owner took the opportunity to replace ALL at once since we refused his cash deal privately. Be careful!! The deductible is NOT NOK16,000. Make sure you ask them to give you the English version of T&C. We will not rent from any private owner anymore. Be careful before you rent.

The deductible for certain types of damages, such as height-related incidents, can differ from the standard amount, which is why Omocom applied a NOK 32,000 deductible, as per the Terms and Conditions. The T & C's are avaliable in english on our website.

Juste un avertissement pour les propriétaires louant leurs véhicules via My camper:
Tant que tout se passe bien vous n'aurez pas de soucis, par contre si des dommages sont causés à votre véhicule, la compagnie d'assurance de My camper vous appliqueras le "vétusté" des éléments endommagés et vous demandera dans les fait de participer financièrement à la réparation de votre véhicule alors que vous en n'êtes aucunement responsable, le tout en vous mettant devant le fait accomplis.
Ne comptez pas à ce moment là sur My camper pour une quelconque aide de leur part, car il se réfugie derrière des phrases du style "nous ne sommes pas habilité à prendre ce genre de décision"..... à se demander à quoi ils servent réellement à part encaisser des commissions.
En résumé, méfiez vous... votre location pourrait bien vous coûter de l'argent et des soucis

Nous comprenons que la question de l’assurance et de la vétusté puisse être frustrante. Les règles appliquées en cas de dommage viennent de l’assureur, et MyCamper n’a malheureusement pas la possibilité de les modifier. Good first experience with MyCamper with a van tour in Norway
We rented a well-appointed and well-equipped van that allowed us to discover the wonderful Norwegian landscapes. The owners were very available and caring before, during, and after the booking. Thank you to MyCamper for putting us in touch and securing the rental (payments, insurance, etc.).

Site sécurisé et pratique
Le site est très bien fait et très pratique, lorsque la réservation est réalisé les étapes sont très sécurisé avec le Check in et le Check out. Très bonne communication est très fluide entre les propriétaires nous et le site web. Très satisfait.
