Professional and polite service. Very happy with tyre rotate and balance on my Toyota land cruiser

After paying for Wheel alignment at MY CAR ARMADALE I was told by Dave , wheel alignment was not covered by warranty...Strange ?..

Shortly after driving away noticed car still veering to the left , as it was before I brought the vehicle in, so I went back to MY CAR ARMADALE.

Both Dave and mechanic Singh insisted the wheel alignment contraption indicated all was good and problem was fixed.

So I asked if all is good, the why is my car still veering to the left ?

Dave guessed problem could be mechanical damage and said an inspection to ascertain such damage will cost $175.

To my knowledge if the cause was Mechanical damage they would not be able to balance the alignment in the first place because it would show on the alignment digital read outs that is shown on the alignment report.

Put simply mechanical damage to alignment mechanism won't yield zero readings for all measurements on the alignment report.

So they said I could bring it next day at 8am and they will look at it again.

Went back the next morning and now Dave tells Singh their workmanship is under warranty (????), contrary to what he told me when I paid the bill the previous day and he asked Mr.Singh to look at the alignment again.

I was told this check will be done by 10 am .

I had to take some jet lagged folks who arrived the previous day down south that morning for a wedding the following day....Too long a journey to drive with unaligned front wheels.

Went back at 10am and was told to come back at 2 pm..then they said come back at 4 pm.

Unable to wait that long we had to rent a vehicle to go down south for the wedding.

After 2 days I went back to them and was attended by Mr Singh who booked me in for 8 am on a day they had no bookings.

Went back at 8am on the day Singh booked and Dave said he had no idea of any such booking.

So he said he will look at the problem "when he had time and the staff to do it"

Perhaps they were overworked and under staffed for a job that takes very little time, especially on a morning when they has zero bookings.

Went home and looked at dash-cam video and saw that Singh initially tested his handy work the first time he claimed he "fixed the problem" up and down a steep slope and a round about ????..unbelievable

Correct me if I am wrong: To ascertain wheel alignment, the test drive is always done on a flat surface not a slope or around a traffic circle.

Waited days for Dave to get back to me but lost patience.

Its now been about 2 weeks since I paid them in full for the job I brought the vehicle to their workshop for.

By day 20, infuriated , thanks to gas lighting, I went to another outfit next to Bunnings.

They did a proper and through job immediately and fixed the problem and perfectly aligned it. ie: no more veering to the left...

..and unlike MY CAR ARMADALE they gave me a wheel alignment report, just as many other car servicing outfits have done in the past.

They tested it on a flat road, not a traffic circle or a steep slope.

Legal advice suggest I show this wheel alignment report to to Dave, which I did and Dave promptly gave me a refund. No sorry, no apology.

This report showed wheel alignment before and after the problem was professionally fixed by a reputable auto service company.

I will be encouraging my online friends, neighbors or anyone who is seeking and honest and experienced mechanic to check them out.

I could not ask compensation for the vehicle rental for the trip down south because my guests lost patience and unilaterally went ahead and booked one whilst I was literally begging My Car to fix the problem I paid them for.

All in I made 4 visits to fix this problem but MY CAR ARMADALE kept fobbing me off.

I have read earlier similar complaints about re:wheel alignment by My Car on this trust pilot platform.

Whoever that is responsible for acting on such complaints say they will "get to the bottom of it".

I suspoect such comments are meant to placate rather than rectify the root cause of this unacceptable and dare I say dangerous disservice, because customer feed back keeps cropping up with similar complaints when it comes to wheel alignment.

I hope none of these customers do not inadvertently, hit a cyclist or pedestrian or cross the median strip and collide head on coming vehicle head-on , thanks to the assurance they get from the apparently sincere Dave or Singh after they drive away with false confidence that all is good.

If you suspect these guys are gas lighting you or tell you wheel alignment is not covered by warranty and or especially do not provide you with a wheel alignment report call :

What a most humiliating and infuriating, waste of my time and unwanted stress..not happy.

Called in to Armadale WA branch with a small nail stuck in the tyre causing a slow leak.
Not only did they repair the puncture while I waited, the cost to me was zero due to their free tyre care plan.
Can't ask for better service than that - excellent!

I was impressed with the excellent customer service, the staff member was friendly and professional. The quality of the service was great, however it would have been better if the auto electrical issues could have been addressed. Overall a great service.

The team at mycar Armadale WA, have provided great value service each time I have booked in. This last logbook service, I was particularly happy, as the diff oil change on my GTS 86, resulted in the back end rumble going away. The low speed rumble was as a result of an oil change done by Toyota 2 years prior.
The rear brake pad replacement was very competitively priced and is performing perfectly.
Will see you again in another 11 months guys.
