Peter, the head mechanic, has decades of experience in the struggle of keeping engines alive and running. He has been my mechanic for all those years. His team of talented mechanics, including Aaron, are lucky to have Peter as their leader.

Most importantly for mycar Blackburn, customers can trust Peter and his team to find the solution to any problem with their car.

This would have been 5 stars ⭐️ but there were a few issues but to be fair, while a little inconvenient the problem was resolved with no expense to me and handled reasonably quickly.

Peter was fantastic, so very helpful as are all the people there at Mycar. Always willing to help even when I haven't booked my car in and just drop in with a problem. Highly recommend.

Great service and they really left no stone unturned when it came to my Dad's 20 year old car. Though the extent of the repairs and cost was a bit of a shock I am happy knowing that I can pass the car on to my son that is now mechanically sound and safe to drive.

I had a truly disappointing experience at the Blackburn branch on Springfield Rd/Middleborough Rd. I called a week ahead to book in for a new car service and was told Peter, who I’ve worked with at the Westfield branch for years, was on leave. The person who answered the phone, Alex, confirmed a slot for 8 am on Saturday 17/1 and quoted me $229 for the Essential Service. I provided my new registration number, and he assured me everything was booked.

When I arrived at 8 am, I waited for 10 minutes while the staff member, Aaron, chatted with another customer. There was no acknowledgment of my presence or explanation about how long is the wait. When it was finally my turn, Aaron got my name wrong, claimed they had sent an SMS to cancel my appointment (which I never received), as there were no staff available to work on that day, and then after repeating I had a confirmed booking by Alex, he then insisted I wasn’t in the system at all. He was dismissive and unapologetic, despite the inconvenience caused by me taking time off work and driving there very early.

The lack of professionalism and poor customer service left me frustrated and disappointed. Aaron was also professionally unkempt for someone working at the front desk , and gave no sense of urgency to resolve the issue. After this experience, I simply walked out. It’s a shame, but I won’t be returning to this branch.

Positive Review:

After the disappointing experience at Blackburn, I called the Westfield branch to see if they could help. I spoke to George Wakim, the manager, who immediately apologized for the poor service I had received and offered a solution. He went above and beyond by asking me to bring my car in right away so he could personally handle the service.

His professionalism and kindness turned my entire day around. The staff at Westfield, including Godi, a new team member, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. George’s personal touch and commitment to customer satisfaction showed me that this is the kind of service I’ve come to expect from the Westfield branch. I’m glad to say I’ll continue my business there, and I’m genuinely impressed by how they handled everything!

Aaron at Blackburn VIC is a legend. Thanks for sorting out my little emergency flat late Friday afternoon. Very much appreciated.
