Responsive, thorough, organized, knowledgeable. Top marks.

This isn't an accurate representation of the service. The only reason it is getting a 1 star is because no matter what I did I couldn't get payment to go through to use their services. The fellow we were dealing with was fantastic. But when we wanted to pay for more than the 'basic' service and get started on some research the form of payment would not take any of our credit cards whatsoever. We are from Canada so if anyone can let me know another way to pay then please do.

My genealogist, amazingly, was able to trace down from my Great Great Grandfather to a living relative living on Bernholm, the island where my Great Grandfather was born. I was able to get in contact with her via email (Yay for Google Translator) and we’re planning a visit next summer.

Niels responded very promptly when I contacted My Danish Roots. His communication in English is excellent. He quickly located many new records about my Danish ancestors and he always attached copies of the documents to his email responses. His fee was very reasonable, and it was easy to transmit the funds.
