My husband and I like to use local independent businesses, so when friends told us about Precision Optics, we booked. We were very impressed and found Clive very professional and thorough, very helpful. I am very happy with the glasses I purchased and my husband is very pleased with the lens he had replaced in his old glasses and the new glasses he purchased.

I can not praise Colin, and Precision Optic enough. True, you have to go elsewhere to obtain your prescription for your vision, but once you have that, you book an appointment, and from there you are in for a fantastic expirience.
Colin asks you a questions, what you would like, expect from your glasses. He explains the pro’s and con’s of different kinds of lenses, and finds out what you would need from your glasses, how and where you would use them. All of this without the pressure of a hard sell (at the opticians where they measured my prescription, they weren’t only trying to push me into spending a fortune on the lenses and expensive frames, they tried to sell me a hearing aids, although my hearing is just fine, so you’ll understand what I’m saying)!
Genuinely fantastic, honest service and advice, to the fraction of the price. You do have a option of selection of frames to choose from, starting from basic, all the way to designer brands if you are so inclined to, but even the most inexpensive frames are remarkably sturdy and rather fashionable.
Apart of all of that, Colin is prepared to reuse your existing frames, if they are not damaged beyond the further use (one of my frames was chewed on by my dog, so even Colin couldn’t save them).
All of that in a relaxed, no rush atmosphere, which is followed by aftercare enquiries if all is ok, and open invitation to contact him, should his assistance be ever needed to address any issues.
Easily the best service I had in years, and not just at the options, but at any place they provide any kind of personal service.

I've always had a great experience with Precision Optics, and my last visit was no different. I came in for new polarised, prescription lenses on an old pair of sunglasses, and the results were fantastic. Colin is really accommodating and great at communicating throughout the process. I would definitely recommend!
