Because migraine/light sensitivity can vary so much from person to person, we always try to guide people carefully through the tint options rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach — so it’s lovely to hear the consultation helped give you confidence ordering varifocals online for the first time.

This was such a lovely one for us to read. We’re so pleased we managed to find you the perfect frame from our unlisted collection — bronze metal Panto was a very good shout 👌

FL-41 can look quite dramatic at the stronger densities, especially outdoors, but getting the tint right for your real-world light sensitivity is exactly what matters most. Hearing they’re already helping with harsh supermarket lighting means a lot.

Varifocals can feel like a big step anyway, so to hear you settled into them straight away (and no “swimming”!) is exactly what we aim for 👍

Also really glad the 60% tint is doing what it should — taking that harsh edge off light without messing with colour. That balance is everything with FL-41, especially when you’re dealing with frequent migraines.

It’ll be interesting to see how you get on at work with screens and fluorescent lighting — that’s where a lot of people notice the biggest difference.

Ah that’s such a great story — thanks so much for sharing it.

Finding a pair of your grandad’s old Safilo frames and bringing them back to life is exactly the sort of project we love getting involved with. They definitely arrived with a bit of history on them, but it was a real pleasure restoring them and getting them wearable again.

I have to admit as well… I was slightly jealous of that frame! It’s exactly the sort of pair I’d happily wear myself.

Really glad to hear your boyfriend is now wearing them with his prescription lenses — that’s the perfect outcome. It’s always nice knowing a pair with that much family history is back out in the world being used again rather than sitting in a drawer.

And thanks for joining Peep Protect as well — that yearly MOT will keep them looking their best.
