They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
They are very good at critiquing what you have written without changing your thoughts or style.
They look at sentence structure, wording, spelling, and presentation. Which I greatly appreciated.
They will help you write your memoirs when you want assistance.
They will review your story and give constructive feedback/suggestions. I really appreciated this because my life story flowed better because of their input.
They will work with you to accomplish what you want. It’s your story, your book, your approval.
They respond in a timely manner. Sometimes within the hour but no later than the next business day.
The quality of their book, layout and pictures is excellent.

Working with all the designers for my Grandfather’s book to come alive was so special. I felt in great hands as I was tasked to share my grandfather’s legacy through his stories and photos. Making this book - through My Stories Matter - means so much to my family, especially since my grandfather has passed away. He was able to hold a copy of the book and told everyone “he was an author”. The book itself is gorgeous and printed so well. I was uncertain which publishing company to chose so I made my first phone call to My Stories Matter. Less than an hour later, I received a return call from Arne ( the CEO). He spent a serious amount of time explaining his company's policies and the method used when beginning the process.
From that moment on, the decision was made.
I worked with the staff throughout the many months I spent putting this story together. Communication was ongoing with response by phone and email.
I could not have been more pleased with this company and the tremendous support and kindness from everyone involved.

This seemed to be the only company who would publish the memory book without having to have a major redesign. I didn’t realise at the time it was in America as I was in Bristol but that didn’t seem to be a problem at all. We adjusted to each others time zone very easily. It was an uncomplicated experience. My Stories Matter also upgraded many of the poor quality photographs. My copies arrived, each in a cloth bag. The family were very impressed! So thank you! Richard

The team at My Stories Matter were wonderful to work with and made my experience personal. The quality of the book and photos used was great. When I had a question someone from the team always got right back to me. I wrote my mom's remarkable life story while she could still remember the stories of the challenging life she lead. She passed away on Feb. 6, 2026 at the age of 103. I am so happy I have all her memories and photos in this book. I would definitely recommend My Stories Matter.

Very personal approach despite being based in America. We had zoom chats and frequent emails to go over details and choices. The quality of the finished book is excellent and I was particularly impressed by the photo enhancement which made grainy old pics from the 1950s look much sharper. This company compared well with the UK ones I tried in that they do everything for you; no need to worry about the detail of margins or fonts as choices were offered.
I definitely recommend them.

My experience with My Stories Matters was delightful and very positive from start to finish. I received plenty of help as needed, with helpful suggestions to keep cost manageable and to ensure I was doing my best at writing our story; I am not a professional writer but our book proves me wrong. I am so proud and happy with the results of our finished story book. The communication between me receiving help from the professionals was excellent, especially with this being my first attempt at anything like this. When I presented our story book to two of our adult children on Memorial Day; as my daughter thumbed through it, tears rolled down her cheeks; my oldest son, stood quietly thumbing page by page, and commented that he had never seen anything like our story book and what it offered to our posterity. He is more stoic but I know my son and know that he was very touched.

Perhaps the main reason that drove me to write a memoir is to leave my written mark of how grateful I am to life and obviously to this country that has offered so much to me and my family. I searched diligently for the best way to do it and concluded that among the many offering their services on the internet, My StoryMatter was the best and most professional means of doing so, and they did not disappoint me; they were very patient and helped me masterfully throughout the process. If you want something well done that can be preserved through the ages, this is the best option. The people who were worthy of receiving my book were impressed with the quality and presentation of my book.

My impetus for writing my book was due to my wife's battle with cancer. We are both senior citizens, and I wanted to ensure this LOVE LETTER was in book form for her to keep. As it turned out, she was totally cleared of this horrible affliction after undergoing a series of treatments. Still, the book is a permanent reminder of my deep affection for her.

I saw the ads for MY STORIES MATTER, liked what I saw, and contacted them. The process, from start to finish, was logical and satisfying. I worked with several editorial people, and the collaboration was excellent. We eventually came up with something that we all thought would present exactly what I had in mind. I used pictures throughout, recalling memories that were important to us over all the years. The end result was an excellently produced final product that we treasure.

A thought: reducing life's precious moments to relying on only oral history can evaporate after one is gone. I know, in my own case, how I wish I had tangible things, such as memos ... or a book, regarding members of my own family who have passed on to answer the inevitable questions that seem to pop up later. I can't just pick up the phone, as I used to constantly, and call my dearly departed mother and ask questions about our family's past history long forgotten. Thus, my own words, thoughts, and pictures in this book can be consulted by our kids, and their kids, in the future regarding my wife and me. Beautifully produced book! Well worth the effort and expense.

My experience working with My Stories Matter was nothing but positive, in both a personal and professional way. As an author, I have always believed that writing or journaling is a great way to capture stories and memories to keep forever. To be able to put them together in the form of a book makes them even more special. Finding My Stories Matter through a simple online search enabled me to create two books in honor of loved ones. I started with my own written stories for the first book; for the second book, I collected written words from colleagues. After an initial email of my vision for the books, the process from start to finish was seamless. A few edits and emails that went back and forth from a very professional and dependable team resulted in two books that exceeded my expectations! I was so excited when I received each book. I was so grateful to see my ideas, words, and pictures within a beautifully bound book. The books have meant so much to the recipients, as well as to my family. The books have become something we will always cherish for generations to come. I am staying connected to the My Stories Matter team for future projects!

For many years, I have done genealogical work about my family and created several family trees and collected family photographs, letters, and documents.

When I asked my nephew what things he would like from our relatives that we had to pass down to him, he said he didn’t want things, he wanted stories!

So I started to write about our family and all of the places we had lived, and I added photos along the way and information from letters and newspaper clippings, and other documentation that my family had passed down to me. I kept wishing there was an easy way to put all this information together as a book for my family.

Then last Christmas, my youngest sister gave me a gift of “My Stories Matter,” and we finally had a platform to enter all of this information and to collaborate on putting together our memories. So, with the help of my sisters, we added more stories and photos of our family members as we grew up.

It was very easy to upload the text I had started drafting and very easy to add photos and images of documents.

Once we had a basic text and images, I collaborated with the fantastic staff at My Stories Matter. They were a wonderful help with suggestions and ideas for layout and provided the ability to re-arrange photos that had been in family albums and to fix some of the blurry images. They were great at collaborating on suggestions for layout, and I shared some ideas of how we might make captions clearer. I really enjoyed working with them all along the way. It was great fun!

My sisters and I are delighted with the resulting book and are very pleased with the quality.

I showed the book to one of our cousins, because it also includes information and a family photo she hadn’t known about, that showed our mutual great grandparents and our respective grandparents as a family. So she has now ordered copies of the book for her immediate family members, too!

I worked with My Stories Matter on two projects, a family history and a memoir. Since their core expertise seemed to be in memoirs, I reached out to discuss their willingness to tackle my family history which was complicated and had a lot of cross references and annexes. I had a zoom meeting with both Kelly and Arne and they agreed to take it on. There was a misunderstanding and they didn’t start work on the history immediately. After they began work, I submitted another manuscript, a memoir, which I wanted to complete by Christmas. We agreed that they would drop the family history project and complete work on the memoir by Christmas of 2025, which they did. They picked up the first project in January the designer I worked with (Bianca) was very cooperative as we went through the revisions required to ensure that the cross-references, footnotes, etc. were correct. This was not an easy process and I am grateful for her persistence. When there were problems with either of my books, the staff was very responsive in dealing with them. I was super-pleased with the quality of the books, as were the others who obtained copies.

Heading towards my 80th year my thoughts often went went back to my past. Eventually I decided to commit my thoughts to paper without much of an idea what I would do with it. I eventually came to the conclusion that perhaps my story was worth sharing, not with the world but with my family.
Not quite sure how to proceed I came across My Stories Matter. MSM understood what I was trying to do and, overtime, sympathetically piloted me through the process of fine tuning what I had written through to publishing my story.
Memories, photographs, old correspondence, all helped in building my story and the final product met all of my expectations. The process for me was cathartic and MSM never made me feel that I was losing control of my story, that was important to me. The final result exceeded my expectations.
My family, most of whom received a copy of my book, provided feedback that reinforced my decision to publish.Many of my local community friends have read my book and their comments have also been positive.

For many years I wanted to write a book for my family, particularly so the younger generations could appreciate just how much life has changed and improved over the past 80 years.
My Stories Matter gave me the confidence to take on what felt like a daunting challenge. Writing was something I had done very little of throughout my life, so it was reassuring to know that their team was always available to answer my questions and guide me through the process.

I worked with Kelly and the team at My Stories Matter for several months this year helping my mother prepare her memoir. We went through several rounds changes and moved many photos, and made edits. Kelly's suggestions were always very helpful and each round of changes was done meticulously. Kelly was even able to get the books delivered, wrapped in birthday ribbons, on my mother's 83rd birthday. She was overwhelmed. Overall it was a great experience and the books look so professional, far beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this company.

I found that working with My Stories Matter was a great experience. All the staff were so helpful and responsive to my requests. The book turned out great with the photos and the way it was printed. I wrote what, to me, important memories of my family and experiences. The only negative would be having an ISBN number on a private family memoire particularly if a family member is in a sensitive position. I was assured that it could not be accessed, but with some peoples computer skills you never know what could happen. I would urge you to keep the material as private as you can.

All your staff were extremely helpful and I would convey that to anyone who is seeking to write a personal memoire.
