Sadly your marketing does not stress that this is NOT a Cloud DRIVE it is a Cloud SAFE.

Because of that this product is ONLY useful if you have IMPORTANT files that you need to STORE SAFELY and probably never want to use on a regular daily basis.

Your use of the word SYNC is MISLEADING. I and everyone else I know thought this meant that your FILES would be synced in each folder like a CLOUD DRIVE. However it turns out that the data is copied to a folder buried in your C:/user/appdata/ folder adding to the storage and duplication on your local computer, which you can't change.
To use this effectively I now need to buy a 2TB drive to match the contents of the Locker and transfer the whole of my operating installation on to that large drive. Using the Locker app on my PC is a disaster as it attempts to sync and load files to my local drive, whether you like it or not and because the encryption is slow, you end up with a bottleneck and a computer crash.

Thankfully you can upload files using a web browser and log on to NordVPN, where you have access to the Locker, this at least stops the constant copying of files to your local drive, without that this product is a disaster.

So to Summarise
The ONLY SYNCING is between all your MACHINES/PHONES using NordLocker, NOT your SOURCE FOLDER.
It is cheap, to store 2TB of data but it is of no real value unless you have a need to treat the files as STORED IN A SAFE, where you do not use the data, but keep it in case of a disaster. It is too slow, does not sync folders, doubles the use of my local storage.
This application is of limited use to me and I would NOT have purchased it, had I been fully aware of the implications.

All if the Nord products

Paid for 1Tb of Nord locker storage about 6 weeks ago, have tried to make this app work on my Apple iPad and my MacBook. When you install this OSX app on a MacBook with apple silicon (M1 or M2) you will have to downgrade the security settings to allow kernel extensions to be loaded. When you downgrade these security settings Apple Pay will no longer function. This is not an Apple approved procedure in downgrading security settings. This OSX app is not available on the Apple apps store and I assume it has not yet been certified by Apple.

Ios app will only support the upload of one file at at time, will not upload a folder, so is pretty much useless.

Nord cloud accessed from web browser is slow and pretty much unusable.

I really wanted this app to work as Nord VPN and Nord Pass are so good. I hope Locker will be developed but as yet it is a very poor app.

Update, submitted a report to Nord Locker over a week ago as requested by Nord, still waiting information regarding a fix on the Apple Pay issue.
Keep getting message You are registered as a CC on this support request (1488****) when I request information. Obviously nobody wants to give me an answer to my emails.
Poor customer support in my opinion.

Just trust it, it covers all your data.

I use Nordlocker since ever-allways had my back

Nord Locker is easy, affordable and it works. I shared with a colleage who tried sending a very large number of huge files in many other ways but they were too big. After they put them in to the Nord Locker I was easily able to access them. Nord Locker saved the day.

The app is great security also, its not expensive.
Only it takes for ever to upload any files like if you have a backup 25gb it takes days for me.
In ios you cant see previews and when opening one you cant swipe to the next file/foto.
Is it worth it? Yes for me it is but its really a pain in the ass in the beginning. They need some updates if those are done, its the best storage in the market my opinion.

Regularly delets your files when you try to upload, very slow and unreliable overall.

Have tried OneDrive and similar in the past with no issue, but I will be staying clear from NordLocker.

There is absolutely nothing right with this story. A lot is promised, but you lose total control over the files. They become corrupted and can no longer be downloaded. Not even a single icon is visible in the app on the iPhone, so you have to guess what it is. What a big disappointment. Look before you leap, because you will lose your files completely!

Covers all my needs for safe backup and sharing large files securely. With special offers and combo buys for other daily useful software from Nord, price is unbeatable.

BEWARE: Even if your card has expired, Nordlocker continue to charge that expired credit card, which is then transferred to your new card, WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.
Good business practice is to warn you that your card had expired and if you wish to continue. NORD does NOT do that.

I have now cancelled all of my Nord subscriptions.

Great app, very easy to use. The only thing i would prefer is to have a bit more free space if you buy nordvpn, but still a very good app!

I am a big fan of NordVpn and have paid for their subscription for years. And, I am also subscribed to NordLocker, as well.

From my terrible experiences with NordLocker; for me, it is utter and absolute garbage! The desktop app is on the level of NordVPN’s early, broken iterations of that desktop app. And, even using their most basic (looks like it was designed by a 12 year old) website interface, NordLocker is completely unreliable, janky, and SLOW. The upload speeds are on par with 1995 dialup. And, to add insult to injury, their live chat support agents do not support NL; it is by email only, and they never reply back.

I hope that Nord gets their act together with NL someday; but I am moving on to another, less janky and junk, cloud storage provider, now.

Through these products I have solved all safety problems.
