I purchased NordLocker for Mac with the intention of backing up my iPhoto library. I tried numerous times with no success:

- I initially tried backing it up on the web interface. It was taking a while to upload and then ultimately failed. I contacted NordLocker support and they said I should download the app instead because the web interface can’t handle more than 3GB.
- I then tried backing it up with the app. It was taking AGES (like a whole day) to upload a 7.5GB library. I thought ‘OK this is going to take some tech support to figure out, but I don’t have time to do that right now - I’ll come back to it later’.
- A few months later I had some spare time during holidays to try again. Once again it took ages to upload so I contacted tech support and they tried a few things before they said 'our developer team is working on resolving the slow encryption, however, there is no ETA on how long improvements may take.’
- So now I’m left with a product that won’t do what I purchased it for and tech support saying I can’t get a refund because it’s past the 30 days refund policy timeframe. Fair enough on not refunding if that’s the contract and your business doesn’t care for customers acting in good faith to try and rectify an issue with your product. But I’ve ended up with a product that I can’t use.

So I want to say ‘BUYER BEWARE’. These people know their product is faulty and they are still selling it.

Great for security and price, but a little glitchy, and not the easiest to use.

Hi, overall I am satisfied with nordlocker, I feel safe to have my most sensitive and important documents saved, I have a paid subscription on an offer I could not pass up, I hope nordlocker will continue to have offers like that.

Premetto che ho provato il prodotto premium per 24h.
Il servizio è molto lento, non solo l'upload e il download dei file (che si aggira intorno a 1Mbps quando ho disponibile 100Mbps in upload) ma anche per il tempo di risposta che ha l'applicazione, è molto macchinosa e da una gran sensazione di superficialità nel prodotto.
Consiglio il prodotto solo per chi ha molto tempo da perderci dietro a ricontrollare se i file sono stati effettivamente salvati: dopo aver lasciato una notte intera per salvare meno di 5GB di files il caricamento si era bloccato.

Note negative:
- Velocità upload e download basse
- Velocità applicazione bassa
- Incertezza dei file salvati

Consiglio di optare altri servizi, hanno ovviamente un costo più alto ma vi faranno risparmiare tempo

Ich habe das 0,99€/Monat Abo abgeschlossen, nach einem Jahr wirds teurer (59,88€/a+Mwst für 500GB), aber immer noch ein fairer Preis.
Allerdings ist die Leistung, die geboten wird, auch diesen Preis nicht wert.
Was nützt ein preiswertes Angebot, wenn es nur mit Hindernissen nutzbar ist?

Am besten funktioniert noch die Android app, allerdings braucht man die eher weniger. Die Daten sind eher auf dem PC.
Dafür wären die Web-Anwendung und die Windows Software zu verwenden.

Die Windows Software beschert mir eine andauernde CPU-Auslastung von durchschnittlich 30%, der Upload funktioniert mal, mal nicht. Dann bricht er einfach ab. Am Anfang wird ein Fortschrittsbalken angezeigt, der eine erstaunlich schnelle Upload Geschwindigkeit anzeigt. Bei 100% ist allerdings der Inhalt noch gar nicht drauf. Erst nach geraumer Zeit ist der Inhalt tatsächlich verfügbar oder auch nie.
Der Wechsel zwischen den hochgeladenen Ordnern ist langsam, gerade noch akzeptabel.

Die Web Anwendung funktioniert ähnlich wie die Windows Software, mit zwei Unterschieden - die CPU Auslastung ist unauffällig, dafür aber ist die Navigation zwischen den Ordnern quälend langsam.

Die Synchronisierung funktioniert überhaupt nicht!!!

Positiv ist die End-to-end Verschlüsselung, deshalb habe ich das eigentlich gekauft.

Ob ich nach Ablauf von einem Jahr noch dabei bleibe, hängt davon ab, ob die Anwendungen bis dahin akzeptabel funktionieren.

Ergänzung: Support wurde damals eingeschaltet, aber außer Logs verschicken, Versionen von Windows und Software zu melden und dem Rat, neu zu installieren kamen da keine hilfreichen Ratschläge.
Auf das Synchronisierungsproblem ist man auch nicht eingegangen.

I have been working with NordLocker support for a month since I installed the Nordlocker app on my windows laptop about a month ago. They have had me send them info from my PC and install a few things, but the app locks up more often than not.

Excellent privacy and encryption. Ease of mind knowing my files are safe and no one can access them without my permission.
