ZERO subscribers an ZERO support

ZERO subscribers and ZERO support.

I started using the tool on my website and I kept receiving emails saying I was reaching the limit of subscribers, but see nothing on the Wordpress dashboard.

They are good on trying to charge my credit card. I was smarter and blocked it before they did. What they are NOT good at is on giving support. There is NO way you can contact them if you are not a paying user yet.

Amazing support!

OptinMonster has an amazing support team that takes the time to understand your problems and dedicate time to finding an answer or a solution. I was struggling to get forms to display with tracking blockers, and even though we couldn't get around it, they did everything possible to identify and explain the causes to me.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I use Optin for several client sites and have never had a problem. Recently, I opened a new account for one of my personal sites, but realized it would not be a good fit. I emailed in within the 14 day cancellation period, and realized after 30 days that the email never went through or was to the wrong place (potentially my fault, I understand). I emailed explaining and also asking them to check my account because you can clearly see there was never any activity. They REFUSE to do anything about it after multiple emails and are keeping me locked in for a whole year. Unless a cancellation/refund comes through, I will be transitioning all of my 7 other clients off of OptinMonster. I don't do business with companies that refuse to do the right thing anymore. It doesn't make sense. If their customer service simply recognized the account I am trying to cancel was never used anyway, it's not a real loss for them. Now they're losing 7 accounts instead of one inactive account. Maybe they'll change their customer service policies in the future, more likely they won't.

Our support records show your cancellation request was received on August 15, 2023. Regardless of usage, the request was received outside of that refund window, so we cannot offer a refund.

Avoid!!!!

Avoid!!!!! They are still taking money off me months after cancelling! Not only that they are taking a payment of £47+ every 2 weeks because they set it up wrong which is why I cancelled in the first place

I had a question for OptinMonster

I had a question for OptinMonster, and submitted a support ticket, but within a minute I found the solution I was looking for and it worked. I went to my inbox to send a reply to the ticket to say I no longer needed assistance and there was already a Loom video personalized to my question, showing my screenshot, and the person in the video saying it looks like I was able to fix the problem. Incredible speed with a personal touch!

Shady renewals - be careful...

I'd love to give it more stars because it works. The pop-up intent works well, maybe too aggressive at times, but it does have different settings.

The most annoying thing to me is how they charge almost double when it comes to renewal 12 months later. And then their excuse is we make it clear the renewal will be $xxx at the bottom of the page. They do, but it's in size font four or something. It's tiny. I had to scroll up and down a few times before eventually finding it...

That, to me, is wrong. They don't warn you that you have a subscription renewal and double the original cost.

That is such shady business practice.

Eventually, after much moaning, they gave me a 20% refund on the renewal. So make sure you push for that if you face the same scenario...
