I bought a new Oregon battery operated pole saw and chainsaw that ran on their 40v rechargeable battery. There 40v batteries are JUNK. They will not take a charge after use. I waisted my money buying these products. Customer Service would not replace anything. Never Again!
Emailed this company twice for questions regarding a Oregon chainsaw I purchased but I remain ignored. Anther hack outfit that has zero customer service.
Oregon PS-250 cordless pole chain saw is junk. Oregon Products still selling this junk and not offering repair or maintenance . Buyer beware you will be stuck with a piece of junk. Boycott Oregon Products !
I purchased an Oregon battery powered chainsaw 2.5 years ago and it recently failed. I phoned Oregon uk and was put through to the EU representative in Belgium, a very helpful gentleman named Yacine Akritidis. Without hesitation he agreed to replace the saw and within a few days a new replacement arrived.
All he required was a copy of my Screwfix receipt.
Absolutely wonderful service.
Oregon Jet Fit.
Trimmer head is fine and easy to use.
But the wire is rather expensive to use, because you can only use maximum half of the wire. The rest needs to be thrown away, when they are worn out. The rest is to be held in the trimmer head, when it is used.
I use only 7 mm wire, cause it last the longest, no matter how rough plants I need to cut away. The wire is not as strong, as the commercials show.
I have now had this product for approximately 3 years, and the wires in the packet 3 and 4 mm. were worn out in no time. I would call them useless. Only the 7 mm. are useful.
This company, Oregon Products, clain to offer a warranty of up to 2 years on their electric self-sharpening chainsaw however when I contacted them about my chainsaw leaking oil they refused to honour the warranty. Initially, they fobbed me off by saying the bar can leak a little oil, which I knew and understand, but it isnât the problem. My chainsaw leaks quite a lot, more than just a few drops, from the seam under the handle section, therefore nowhere near the bar. Whenever I pick it up after itâs been put down there is an oil patch right under it, at the back of the chainsaw not the front where the bar is. When I provided photographic proof of such a continuous leak from the joint, they attempted to justify it by saying their âtechnical departmentâ confirmed that the chainsaws do leak oil and provided a photograph of two such chainsaws in their purported warehouse with oil clearly visible under the bar areas. So, the photos could have been anything and anywhere for all I know and the oil was from the bar section therefore not even applicable to my scenario; And if it was indeed a genuine photo from their warehouse then there are two other implications: either the warehouse is a fire hazard with that oil sitting on shelving units and more cleaning and maintenance should be done for health hand safety, or, their products actually leak a lot more than they tell their customers and from other areas, not just a few droplets from the bar. That was their last email, It was a bitterly painful experience that proved that not only are their electric chainsaws below standards but so too is their customer service and warranty offer.
Their customer service is zero. They do not honour their warranty. If you call their customer service, the call will âconnectâ (so youâll be charged for the call), but no one will answer. They have an online form which sends them an email but they wonât answer that either
No customer support at all. I bought an Oregon battery electric mower from Screwfix two years ago. Last week I got it out to do the first cut of the season but the battery had failed. Screwfix didn't help at all - they 'no longer sell those'. No one has any batteries for it, battery is odd size. Attempts to contact Oregon UK head office by phone fail too.
I purchased a refurbished Oregon CS1500 240v corded Chainsaw self sharpening 3year warranty. Without doubt I bought this to replace the Sthil petrol I use, i wanted a chainsaw for quieter locations. I didn't want a battery chainsaw due my jobs being located in residential areas therefore near or close to mains electric avoiding the hassle of changing and changing batteries regularly during use. I was very impressed by the quietness, the self sharpening, the length of the bar, the power of the motor, and the value for money. This has got to be the no1 go-to chainsaw on the market right now to buy. if you want to buy a corded chainsaw and worried about safety this chainsaw has to be the safest chainsaw on the market. The chain stops the second you stop using it, 100% best and safest chainsaw on the market in my opinion.
its not worth considering buying a 2nd hand chainsaw with the CS1500 price and quality - buy this and you'll never look back.
Bought an Oregon cordless mower from Screwfix just over 2 years ago... now just a few days out of warranty The mower is still fine but nobody can supply a replacement battery so i'm left with a useless mower. Screwfix don't want to know and no reply from Oregon. Very poor after care service. What a waste of money I can ill afford. Feel robbed
I have just purchased an Oregon cordless chainsaw with a single 36v 4Ah battery. I was told that if I found one battery insufficient for my purposes, I could easily purchase a second. Less than a fortnight later I have tried to buy a second battery. Nobody is selling them apart from Ebay where they are significantly more than the saw, battery and charger. Contacted Orgeon only to be told the range has been discontinued. I feel I have been seriously misled and fobbed off with old stock. Had I been aware of the true situation I would never have made the purchase.
I contacted Oregon about a part I had purchased that wasn't working as well as other ones I'd bought from them. I thought it was going to be difficult and maybe impossible to do anything about it, but I was happily surprised by how quickly they took care of it. Completely friendly and straightforward. It's just nice to find companies that stand by their products.
