I absolutely LOVE OwlCrate! I can’t say that my bank account feels the same but their subscription boxes have yet to disappoint. They work with very talented authors and artists, always doing incredible work and even doing some beautiful debuts! Also added bonus- they have responsive and outstanding customer service (at least in my experience). The books have been excellent quality, as well as the goodies. Some things I have found more useful than others but all of the trinkets are still beautiful nonetheless. Do I need countless snazzy pins and several mugs? Absolutely not. Do I feel compelled to get them regardless? Umm abso-freakin-loutely. Now I just need to claim a spot with the Adult Subscription box, too and then I’ll be an even happier camper!

I also recently discovered that OwlCrate has an app called The Nest- a safe community for people to share their love for books. I am excited to see what it is all about and connect with other Book Owls! 📚🦉

While there are some really great book boxes out there, props to Owlcrate for having the BEST community and customer service team. I always get a friend response when I have to reach out to the CS team, the team is transparent about changes and delays, and they go out of their way to make the community feel seen/appreciated.

I subscribed to OwlCrate initially in 2019, and into the pandemic. Their boxes gave me something to look forward to, and I only left because their books and items were geared towards YA, and my own tastes had changed. I’m back now years later because the stellar customer service, expansion of genre, and community can’t be beat. Their customizations and picks are always top tier and continue to wreak havoc on my TBR.

I’m on the waitlist for the adult box and I just recently purchased the YA box. I’ve had a few questions regarding things and the customer service has been a 100/10. The thoughtfulness and time that they take to help you really is fantastic. I can’t recommend owlcrate enough. If you’re not subbed yet DO IT!

I love their customers support, they answer quickly and easily offer replacement in case of damages, which was the case for my June YA book.
Their books are also always great quality.

So far my experience with owlcrate has been amazing I subscribe to the ya book and goodies box and I have to say I didn't think I would love it but I was surprisingly shocked with all the great books and how much detail gose into making them special for us the goodies are great too the owlcrate team are very nice and supportive if anything happens I would 100 percent recommend getting a subscription if you can

I was looking for a bookish advent calendar last year and of course Owlcrate had it. While I was scoping out the advent calendar, I came across their book box subscriptions. I immediately signed up for the YA book and goodies box and added myself to the adult book only box.

What’s my favorite time of the month you ask? When I get my book boxes. The YA book and goodies box is so much fun to open that my 2 best friends have demanded pictures, videos, or live video calls while I open it. I just got off the adult subscription waitlist and I’m already in love! 😍

The books are gorgeous. The goodies are amazing and well crafted. I love the themes of the boxes. I love that the books are a total surprise before you open the box and I love that the books broaden my reading content. As readers we tend to stick with what we know and love but I love that Owlcrate does such an amazing job at picking diverse reads and expanding my reading outside my comfort zone.

I love my subscriptions, their shop is great, the Owlcrate nest app and community it wonderful, and the read alongs for all the books is so much fun. I’m so happy to stumbled on this company for my books in advent calendar and so much more! 😍

I live OwlCrate, I am both a subscriber and Nestie. Their books are beautiful and their customer service is top tier. Whenever I’ve had an issue or a question they are quick to respond and solve the problem; once I received a book with an upside down tip in page and they offered to replace it or give me credit.

The Nest is the best thing that could happen to book lovers. It gives you a place to discuss the books you love with like minded people and to discover new reads. I appreciate that everyone on it has become a family of sorts. People are very kind and encouraging. The staff are personable and highly engaging. They are always creating fun activities, providing author chats and also introducing us to authors and books that may have gone under our radar. Im so grateful for this safe space to enjoy and share my love of books and reading.

OwlCrate make the kind of books I’ve dreamt of owning my entire adult life.

Every book I’ve bought from them has had the most beautiful detailing such as hidden covers, pretty end papers, reversible dust jackets, sprayed edges, and more. The attention to detail is always amazing, and their books are definitely some of the prettiest and most treasured in my collection. I only wish that international shipping was cheaper so I could shop with them more often.

My recent order of The Ashes and the Star Cursed King was particularly gorgeous. I’m still blown away by the stunning character art on the end papers, and its amazing silver-foiled hidden cover. It was packaged so carefully, too, and was such a delight to get through the post.

I also really love their bookish community app, The Nest, which is a fantastic social media app for book lovers. I love that everyone is welcome and not just OwlCrate subscribers, and that everyone is so friendly, encouraging and supportive. It’s a wonderful place to post about what you’re reading, book hauls, reading progress, and other bookish topics, and you’ll find yourself making friends with like-minded people in no time. There’s none of the drama found on other social media sites, just a bunch of people willing to gush about their favourite books with you all day. The fact that it also gives you early access to OwlCrate book releases is just a bonus!

I have now purchased from OwlCrate on multiple occasions and hold this company in very regard. The products are always so whimsical, great quality and arrive quickly. If you need to speak with customer support (as I did on my last order), they are respectful, happy to help and quick to respond. My missing item arrived so quickly! I LOVE to see a company that makes it as easy as possible for customers to get help. That is so rare these days (especially online).

Any time I've had to go through customer service, they've been super helpful. The boxes themselves are amazing. Best subscription I've ever had.

I have been part of the OwlCrate community for several years now. I have seen their growth when it comes to the truly high quality books and book-related products.

But I’ve also witnessed and been impacted by the truly safe and genuinely inclusive space they have created for the community. I say this as a person from the so-called global south, whose lived experience includes being regularly subjected to discrimination and micro-aggressions, to say the least, making it difficult for me to feel safe to share my truth, and be involved in online communities. The team behind the OwlCrate community mean it when they say that the community is inclusive. I have faced enough racial discrimination against someone with the “wrong passport”, to know the difference. This doesn’t exist with OwlCrate.

I’ve also dealt with the OwlCrate Customer Support team on several occasions, and they have never failed, frustrated, nor disappointed me. They are always friendly yet professional and knowledgeable, as well transparent and helpful. The last such time was last month when my packages were shipped to an address I had changed. They promptly sorted the issue, without the situation making me anxious. This is something I greatly appreciate, especially that I have been on the receiving end of customer services that don’t care about the customer experience, and only look to secure the sale, as it were. I once cancelled a book subscription to a service when they were getting ready to curate a whole box around my favorite Jane Austen book because their customer service was abysmal. They have since offered me a 50% discount to resubscribe, but I haven’t. So I mean it when I say that this is important to me.

Another thing that means the world to me is seeing actions that show that while this is indeed a business, the interactions with us are not about the money. It shows in things like unlimited skips for the monthly subscriptions—an option that was vital for me during a rough patch, and without which, I probably wouldn’t still be a subscriber, with even more subscriptions now than before. It also shows in the fact that you can fully be part of the community without being a subscriber. All you need is to be a reader. In the daily grind some businesses forget that we’re all humans and need meaningful connections to thrive.

Other than providing me with great book editions and bookish goodies that help make my days brighter, OwlCrate makes me feel seen, heard, appreciated and truly part of a community.

I've been getting OwlCrate boxes since 2016 and am really pleased with my monthly box and goodies!

I even moved to another country while being subscribed to OwlCrate and they helped me navigate that very smoothly, ensuring my subscription moved at the same time I did.

I really enjoy their monthly book picks and their customizations this year (with more book ribbons and stenciled edges) have taken the editions to an even higher level!

Generally I find the items included to be very useful and when I have had an issue with something breaking or being problematic, customer support has been very helpful. As an international subscriber, I also really appreciate that OwlCrate tends to ship international books first and works with EU regulations to handle VAT/taxes in a really smooth way. I most recently received my June YA box and June Adult book, both of which are simply gorgeous editions and I really look forward to the stories.

I LOVE OwlCrate. Period. Their customer service is great, shipping is always quick, and their products are just amazing. I buy from them religiously and am always fangirling over their books, the travel sized beauty/bath products (that smell divine), and all the beautifully crafted and useful items.

They've been knocking it out the park lately with special editions. I love the variety and that they usually plan to continue a series when they start it. That's usually one of my biggest worries/hates is when a box will give you a pretty book 1 but then nothing else after. Owlcrate usually picks a book/series and sticks with it.

I’ve been a Owlcrate customer since 2016. I’ve gotten the monthly subscription box every month. The Pandemic changed and impacted so much, especially how our international products are distributed and delivered. Despite these changes, outside of their control, the Owlcrate team has always done their absolute best for their customers. They’ve always been very communicative about delays and have even come up with creative ways to compensate customers for having to wait a little longer for a box or a special edition. Throughout the years I’ve had to reach out to the customer support team about items that arrived damaged or even just a question about an upcoming item. No matter the topic/issue the customer service team has always come through for me. Owlcrate is a business, yes. But you get so much more than just a product from Owlcrate. You get a community. A community that stands by each other, believes in honesty and transparency, and respect for everyone’s humanity. Yeah, sometimes things get delayed. And that sucks. But if there’s a way to improve things or try to make things better, the Owlcrate team will find a way.

This community is like no other!
Beautiful books and like minded people all under one roof. Everyone is so sweet as we strive to share our favorite books while also collecting special editions that leave our minds twirling. Absolutely love!

As a OwlCrate member, all I can say is this company goes above and beyond to make a great experience for its customers. The books are beautiful and the Nest community is interactive and engaging. They’re always adding new things to better the experience, like their new quarterly subscriptions which I’m so excited for! If you were debating signing up I’d say definitely do it and you won’t be disappointed!
