Thank you to Pasture Cardiff for a fabulous lunch today. Food was delicious, and a special mention should go to Gabrielle, who arranged an off menu veggie option for me & Lily our waitress who chatted to us on arrival and picked up on the fact it was my husband’s birthday, bringing him ice cream and a candle to celebrate at the end of our meal.

We’ve been SCAMMED. We ate at the Cardiff outlet today. The food and service were excellent and the ambiance was very good. This was all ruined by being scammed by the price of wine. We ordered 2 bottles of Argentinian Malbec at £26 per bottle but on receiving the bill we were charged for 2 bottles at £51 per bottle. The waitress claimed she knew we wanted the cheaper bottle but showed us the more expensive bottles before opening them for us to confirm they were the ones we wanted. I accept we were sloppy in not paying enough attention to slight discrepancies in the wine description, but she clearly brought us the more expensive bottles hoping we’d make a mistake in confirming them as the ones we asked for. If you do eat there, check very carefully when you order the wine – it’s like a Seville restaurant scam! They lost a £25 tip and our future custom!
