Faultless service from an amazing engineer.Jon fixed 3 of my Macs in very short order.
I really cannot praise him highly enough.He told me he had over 26 years experience of fixing computers, and it really showed.
It's fantastic that he comes out to you.He even came to me on a Sunday!!
We had a good chat about life in general whilst he was Muti-tasking.We really set the world to rights!

"It's a car crash!"
I called pcandmacrepairs.co.uk located(?) in Bishops Stortford [no street address!] because the screen on my Macbook Pro [bought new in 2021] suddenly went blank. “Jon” [the name he gave me: He appears to have various aliases, including Jonathan Dickson, David McNeil, and Jon Draper], was confident that he knew the problem and that I would need a new screen which he could supply and fit for £565 including the £99 callout fee. He dismounted the old screen and installed the new one which seemed to work, and asked for payment of £650 as he said he had, without asking me, installed some security software for £85 which would normally cost “hundreds”. Two days later the screen went again and on phoning him he said it must be the motherboard and he would have to get back to me. When I had heard nothing after two weeks I took the machine, which was bought new in 2021 and had never previously been accessed, to an Apple accredited technician who took one look at the motherboard and said “It’s a car crash!” I have a picture of the damage which Apple have listed as follows :-
A. Total of 9 important screws missing inside which are needed in fitting correctly a display screen to this model.
4 x 3mm antenna bar screws [which are very important and hold back the 2 display ribbons from moving and rupturing],
3 Pentelobe screws that should hold down Antenna bar,
2 further screws and Antenna board bracket which is missing completely.
B. 1x 1.5mm Pentalobe screw is in place but straining the bracket hole to a loop caused by the Antenna bar not seated correctly.
This list was reported to “Jon” over the phone at which point he claimed he was busy and would call back later. Needless to say, as others have experienced, he failed to do so and is now uncontactable from my phone. This morning I called him on a different phone, but as soon as I said my name he hung up which, according to other reviews, is standard practice. The only geographical address I have found for his company is on the Trustpilot website and is 29 Harley Street, London W1 This address was the subject of a long article by Oliver Bullough in The Gardian on 19 April 2016 claiming that it was the centre of “multiple cases of international fraud”, being the registered address of 2159 companies.
In the light of my own experience those of the rest of the “One Star” group are completely believable, whereas with the gushing “Five Star” reviews I cannot believe that they are all genuine, or indeed perhaps any of them!
I suggest Trustpilot should investigate this gentleman more closely. He does them no credit.
His reply below admits that his diagnosis was hasty and incorrect and that he should never have replaced my screen with another one to be similarly destroyed by a “an electrical surge”

Terrible experience with pcandmacrepairs
I called pcandmacrepairs as I had a problem with my Late 2014 iMAC fan coming on a lot more and a Drive DX report showed the SSD Lifetime Left Indicator of AVERAGE 49.0% and the drive running hot suggesting it needed replacing. Jon said he would fix my iMAC for £425 and replace the SSD saying that the fusion drives on these machines weren’t very good. I asked him what SSD he would replace it with and he said “a good quality one such as Crucial”. A week later he returned my iMAC and said it was all fixed. He put additional software on which I hadn’t asked for but I paid him an additional £30 for this. When I restored my drive from backup I re-ran Drive DX and discovered the SSD hadn’t been replaced at all ! When I contacted him he said he would talk to his colleague who takes the screens off and fits the SSDs. Since then he has ignored multiple voice mails, texts and emails. As far as I am concerned he has taken my money under false pretences and since he’s ignoring all my communications it seems I have no choice but to seek redress in the courts. I don’t have a problem when people make genuine mistakes if they then apologise and correct them but ignoring all my correspondence is totally unacceptable.
A Double Saving...

His actions saved a lot of heartache as well as the considerable cost of a new laptop. Turned up when he said he would - twice - and was polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Speedy reponse and solved my issue - saved my laptop and work
Jon responded very quickly to my request for help, and saved the work I had on my laptop - which was my priority. He was also very accommodating regarding dropping my computer off, rather than my needing to collect it. I would definitely recommend.

computer malfunction
I had a serious computer malfunction, John at Macrepairs spent ages trying to solve the problem which he eventually did, at a very reasonable price much to my relief.
I would thoroughly recommend him

ABSOLUTE SCAMMER HIS REAL NAME IS DAVID MCNEILL
Charged me £350 for the wrong/bootleg screen and now my laptop is even worse than before, completely broken.
I texted him about these issues and he ignored me. I also rang him and it went straight to voicemail but he answered when I called from my friends phone and seemed to be putting on a different voice.
In general, he was so rude and weird. I said thank you to him after I thought it was fixed to which he replied “well, it is my job”. A freakish, rude, evil scientist looking man who goes by the name “John” even though his real name is David McNeill (parkway consultants).
Luckily I took a picture of him as he seemed dodgy. I will be taking this to the police or small claims court - PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THIS PATHETIC MAN.

Strongly Recommended: Quick, positive, insightful response to my phone enquiry inspired the confidence to book an appointment. Prompt arrival and straight down to business. John worked assiduously on my MacBookAir and 3as quick to confirm his suspected diagnosis, the implications of which and the remedies were explained clearly and a plan agreed. Within the hour my MacBook Air was alive again and in the process of being rebuilt & reconfigured. Call-out and repair pricing was extremely reasonable given the speed & quality of service.
