I’ve been with Travel Counsellors for seven months now. It was a big step and I was very nervous about taking the leap, especially as there are so many host agencies out there and it is hard to know which ones to trust. Without being rushed by the franchise, I took my time and I did my research then attended a mini conference in my local area. After a really positive experience, I decided to take the plunge, and I can honestly say I have never looked back.

The training is excellent and really thorough, and the mentorship programme means you have live support throughout your first year, which is so reassuring. The community is fantastic too: people are genuinely supportive and willing to help.

I also love the support system. It is clear to follow, and no matter how small or challenging the issue, I always feel I can get it resolved. They understand that you are learning and take the time to explain things properly, with regular check-ins to make sure you are on track. They also have a really good continuous training arrangement which keeps me up to date and allows me to learn and expand my skills all the time. (and its all incuded in the franchising fees as well as your tech hardware etc)

Although I am self-employed, I still feel part of something bigger, which is a really reassuring feeling. Having been self-employed for over 10 years previously, that level of support has been incredibly valuable, especially when you are sending people all around the world.

Another big plus is how much suppliers value Travel Counsellors. At events, you can really see the difference: they recognise the professionalism, credibility and strength of the brand, often giving us more time and attention than many other independents. It is clear we are highly respected in the industry, which gives me even more confidence when I am working with partners on behalf of my clients.

The technology is another huge benefit. The systems are modern, intuitive and designed to make running your travel business smoother and more professional, from quoting and booking to looking after clients throughout their journey.

I am so pleased I chose Travel Counsellors and would highly recommend them to anyone considering making the move into running their own travel business with a strong support network behind them.

A seamless process and very easy to deal with. There was no hard sell. Ashley was incredibly approachable and available. She took time to get to know me and answered all of my questions. The recruitment process was a joyful experience. Joining the Academy was the right pathway for me and the training and support I've received has been outstanding. The learning and development team are extremely knowledgable, supportive and approachable. I have no complaints at all. It's been a fantastic introduction into life as a Travel Counsellor.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the onboarding process at Travel Counsellors. From the moment I expressed an interest in joining, Julia gave me such a warm welcome. It's a big decision to take on your own business but Julia made me feel reassured and she has continued to check in with me regularly which I'm very grateful for.

The training has been thorough and well-structured (I'm only 3 weeks in). Everything is clearly explained, and I always feel encouraged to ask questions and learn at my own pace. Kristina recently led our team of 10 through the two week induction and she was outstanding. She is so positive, professional and caring and genuinely wants you to succeed.

Before joining, I attended a Discovery Day at the head office, Venus. It was really beneficial to see the support teams behind the scenes and to gain a deeper understanding of how everything works together. Meeting the teams in person added so much value and made me appreciate just how much effort goes into creating such a strong, supportive environment.

It’s rare to find a company where the culture is so genuinely supportive, and I’m grateful to be part of such a positive environment.

Overall, it has been an outstanding start, and I’m excited to move forward.

My first contact with Travel Counsellors was with Julia, who was exactly like every other person connected with TC, - professional, knowledgable, patience, understanding and caring. No hard sell, just a process to ensure it's a right fit for both parties, a brilliant introduction to the business, every question answered promptly and honestly, perfect.
Next step was a two week induction course hosted by the amazing Kristina, her enthusiasm unbound, her patience - limitless.
The systems, software and support are absolutely first class, they give anyone the full array of tools to create the business they've dream of.
They really care and that is clearly evidenced at every step of the way.

My early conversations with Julia were informative and transparent, with no pressure or hard sell—recruitment is clearly about finding the right fit for both sides.

The Discovery Day at head office was equally professional and insightful, giving a real sense of how the operation works, again with no pressure.

The induction training over two weeks was fantastic. Kristina and Kerry delivered it with expertise, energy, and a great sense of humour (plus some great Snapchat Teams filters!). Their approach made the learning experience engaging and genuinely enjoyable.

Just survived the induction—and I say “survived” loosely, because it was smoother than a jazz sax solo and more professional than a penguin in a tuxedo. Julia kicked things off with charm, Kristina steered the training ship like a seasoned captain, and Kerry chimed in with wisdom like a friendly oracle. Honestly, if approachability were an Olympic sport, this team would be bringing home gold. Everyone I’ve met has been so welcoming, I half expected a marching band and confetti.

What an amazing experience so far! From the first contact I had with Julia all the way through to the training with Kristina, I have loved every minute of it!
I was fortunate enough to enquire with Julia a couple of days before one of the TC Together events that was happening in my area. She was able to get me booked on and after attending that my mind was made up and I started on the next possible academy induction.
A few things really resonated with me at the TC Together event, such as how passionate everyone was, the level of professionalism, the huge amount of support available and most importantly how every single TC I spoke with said it was 100% the best decision they had ever made.
The actual training was so enjoyable too, even though it was done remotely it still felt very personable. I had already met Kristina at TC Together, so it was great to have a friendly face on the first day, we all bonded very quickly though and I speak to the other TC's on my induction pretty much every day.
I cannot speak highly enough of my time with Travel Counsellors so far.

The whole training and onboarding process has been really smooth. Julia took the time at the outset to get to know me, why I wanted to start my own business, and spoke about expectations. Kristina was amazing with all of our training and really brings real life experience to it all (nothing like mistakes to make you learn). The mixture of online and in person is good and everything is very flexible (I was moving back from Dubai at the time so joining in and out between moving activities). Thank you so much for everything.

Having come from a high street agent who make it abundantly clear you are a number and that the door isnt locked, I couldn't have had a more polarising experience. Wish I'd joined TC years ago! I haven't even finished my induction yet and already feel like part of the community. There is a strong community ethos, before I even officially started my training I received email messages from others in the local area l, with well wishes and offers of assistance if needed.

Dawn and Josie were happy to answer any questions we could think to ask. The training is well laid out and you can work at your own pace.

Cathy from HR staff was in touch regularly and answered several emails I sent and was happy to take zoom video calls which was great, made me very comfortable.
