Leading up to my surgery, I was really anxious and nervous.

Emma helped me each step of the way and got me appointments with people to talk me through everything and help me come up with a plan of action etc. without her help I'd of probably backed out.

As for the surgical team they were all amazing. I'm really grateful for how friendly and down to earth they are. Especially my surgeon Mr Stewart. He was friendly, approachable and really great.

The nursing team who looked after me were part of Transform but they were also so so amazing and I'm so glad Phoenix works with them. Because honestly their smiles and friendly personalities made me so at ease.

I'm so pleased with my surgery. All the staff that looked after me are professional, wonderful and patient. The admin staff, nurses and on call surgeon were so helpful and put me at ease with a few medical issues.
I am so lucky to have had the surgery via Phoenix Health care at The Pines Hospital in Manchester. Thank you.

Everyone was very helpful and attentive. It was a good experience and couldn’t fault anyone. The rooms did look a bit tired and ready for refurbishment.

Had a gastric bypass 2nd jan 2024at the pines manchester referred on nhs surgeon ms derrien professional and very thorough no problems with surgery or recovery.looked after very well and good follow up afterwards.have lost 6st 7lbs so far and still losing consistently.still cant eat all the foods i could before surgery but its a learning curve and needed changes anyway and getting support.dont feel hungry at all and only need very small portions.normal range for diabetes now off all pain meds for arthritis and blood pressure meds have been halved

Excellent service throughout the process, from pre-op diet guidance, to phone calls once home. I am 9 days post surgery and feel great. I’ve not needed any pain relief and with the advice of the nutritionist at Phoenix, have lots of energy and am eating a varied puréed diet. Highly recommended, it’s changed my life.

Every interaction I have had with Phoenix staff has been positive. I had a gastric sleeve and hiatus hernia repair on the 30th April 24 under Miss Darrien and I received 1st class care. The staff at The Pines were amazing. I would recommend Phoenix Healthcare to friends and family.

Generally very good service , few little things that were not followed up on but I think I was too exhausted to push! Ms Darrian was a fantastic surgeon and put me at ease, what can I say about Dr Donnelly- the anaestist, that guy is incredible, very person centred, understanding and empathetic. Dr Rasian was the assisting fellow, again really good, especially post surgery but did put me under pressure on day 2 when I felt bullied and not listened too…

An amazing experience
From the minute I got my initial meeting in frodsham I was looked after. I was informed at every step. My surgery was postponed for a week but when it came round it went smooth. I'm 10 weeks post op now and the support keeps on coming. Phoenix are there with any problems to guide you. Surgeons, nurses, admin. They are all fab. Highly recommend! My life has changed thanks to these people. Emma (inpatient coordinator) was amazing sharing helpful tips and ensuring i was informed about my stay.

Had a gastric bypass 2 weeks ago from the moment they first contacted me I need id picked them right choice. The care from the nurses,the surgeons and admin overall communications have been fantastic, amazing room settled instantly and reassured from the moment I got there. Absolutely blessed to have had this done and at such an amazing place

I had a mini-bypass with The Phoenix in Manchester. Miss Darrian is great, she explained everything and I’m making a good recovery. I’m 8wks post op and I’ve already lost 35lb (including my LRD), I’m exercising for 45mins 5 times a week and really happy with everything so far.

Pheonix have been great in my journey. I am only 5 weeks post op but I'm feeling fantastic. They ensured I was ready both physically and mentaly for my surgery. I have receive lots of great advice and they are always on hand for any questions. My surgeon Mr Almeri was kind and compassionate and took the time to discuss my surgery with me. I am very grateful to have received this surgery and look forward to my journey. If you are considering surgery pick up the phone and have a chat with the team at pheonix you won't be dissapointed

I had my original surgery in May 21 which went perfect (you can read my review it should still be there). My surgery was very successful and Iv lost 14 stone, the surgery I just had was a minor problem that can happen to very few people (hernia) . All involved in my surgery were brilliant and informative.
The Pheonix team have been with me every step of the way for over 3 years now, if I had my time all over I would do this all over again as I am made up with the results.

Very professional and friendly staff. They put you at ease right away. The doctors were super nice and gave lots of information before and after surgery. The aftercare was great. They made me feel relaxed.

Been a long journey had quite a few traumas throughout 8 weeks P.O. but know there is someone trying to keep me going. I thankyou once again for giving me my life back and not just an existence 😌

Had a gastric sleeve at the pines. Everything went brilliant. For checking in, to going to theatre and then back to room for recovery all staff were fantastic and reassuring. The nurses and health care couldn't do enough for you to make sure you were as comfortable as possible during your stay. Also the team from phoenix from my face 2 face appointment then calls pre op and post op absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend

I had a sleeve in Sept 21 and a Bypass in March 24. Both experiences were excellent. Staff are amazing, looked after me so well.
Very attentive, caring and made me feel so comfortable.
Two of my friends have also requested Phionix fir their Sleeves. It is nice that I can support them kniwing what lies ahead.
From my heaviest 32 stone 2lbs I am.now 18 stone 10lbs. I feel amazing so I can not thank Phoenix enough for helping me with this fantastic journey.
It is not easy but two years post op care you are truly looked after. 😊😊

First time at the Pines. Very discreet and professional. Everything worked like clockwork. Had a gastric sleeve and was up and about same day with NO pain. You had all the healthcare professionals dropping by your room all day so no problem if you wanted to ask a question. Overall service was great. Will be back if i need some skin revision next year!
